Yes, it's horrible. Every now and then some people contact me and tell me about their losses, ranging from 2.5k to 10k. It's horrible. Currently thinking about creating a scam report system (A website), especially for XRP where all the right parties (DNS hoster, XRPForensics, UA-cam and maybe even exchanges get contacted) and get provided with the needed information after the user enters all the data.
I followed your advice - - thank you. However, I think that I have learned a very severe lesson - - and my XRP is gone forever. Why is it not possible for Ripple to hunt these scammers down? This points to a need for some regulation so that we who are just getting into cryptocurrency are not scammed. Maybe there needs to be a central "SCAM" electronic bulletin board, that everyone in cryptocurrency can refer to before making any decisions of this nature!
The XRPL (XRP Ledger) is decentralized. Ripple does not have any power and CAN NOT freeze any assets or do anything else other people can do. When you send a transaction it is irreversible. This is not about regulation and more about user education. XRP Forensics is already having a database of scam wallets and they are also being tagged. And yes, before you make any kind of transaction, you should think this through. In this case, it is the user's greed that leads him to bad decisions.

Question…. I followed your steps and when trying to submit on xrplorer, I got a duplicate entry notification on the scammers address. I guessing xrplorer already had the address on file. Secondly, I went to XRPScan and located my transaction…. There were several others made after mine by other victims, they all show as “IN.” Their isn’t any “OUT” transactions showing any withdrawals…. What might this mean?
yes, got the same. On further checking, its get promptly activated y some other account exactly just before they plan to go on youtube. There is a big chain of 1 master account, activating such scammer accounts.
2024 and I just lost 999.5 xrp. I am a single dad it this was suppose to be for mine and my daughters future. I am sick to my stomach. 500 dollars is a lot of money to me..
