I'm glad to see you have a completed water system 😊. Two things: I wish you would have installed some insulation on those pipes on the underbelly on the mobile home to prevent freeze up in the winter and I would love to see you drop the pipe through the floor on the hot water 💧 heater safety valve, just in case if the ever popped open it would release the water 💧 to the outside of the home instead of all over the floors. 😊. Other then that it came out looking good 👍

Thanks! Yeah, I debated putting wrap around the pipes but I figured they should be pretty good being surrounded by insulation in there. Plus I do have heat tape that will be covering the water main for 20', plus I will be adding an inch and half of foam board under the belly as well which will give a thermal break from hitting the floor joists, then to top it off I'm adding about 4 incandescent lights underneath the house near the pipe run that I can turn on during sub freezing temps. I hear you on the empty valve too. I found out the knob I attached that chrome adapter to is actually a twist shutoff so with that other valve on there it's now two layers of shutoff valves. Once I get the door figured out to cover the heater I'll see if there is enough room to run an angle on it to guide it under the house though.

Don't forget to fill the holes around your pipes and wires with expanding foam. Mice can squeeze through a hole the size of a dime. My dad did plumbing at our cottage, that is now not accessible underneath the floor, and we get mice in the colder months, crawling in under a pocket door.

Thanks for that! Yeah, I'm going to drill holes in little pieces of plywood that are the same diameter of the pipe, cut them in half, slip them around the pipe on the floor and screw them down so there is no room for those little buggers to get through. They're all pretty open right now and thankfully no intrusions yet but I think that's because I have no skirting, so I think mice aren't too attracted to coming around my house being so open.

Really careful work. As usual, you put so much forethought into your work. This was a great video on what to watch for leaks and on how to use the same materials to avoid corrosion. You clean your joints too, which shows that you go the extra mile. This home will withstand the test of time! Thanks for a great video!

Thanks you very much for the appreciation! Yup, I hope it's built well enough to outlive any other standard mobile home out there. :)

Ah, the infamous Toutle River swimming holes (aka "ash holes", since '80), and I still carry spare pantyhose in my glove box, just in case.

Ha! Nice. Yeah, I was visiting family friends in Spokane on that day. It went from a pleasant day to nearly pitch black. But I was young and dumb so my friend and I went out and played in the falling ash like it was snow. I do remember traveling from Seattle to Portland not long after we got back too and seeing that river running gray, murky, and full of trees. Such a crazy historic event.

Getting closer! I still have to figure out how to get the shower stall leveled, supported, and hooked up with a new shower valve set. Hopefully before the dead of winter though.

For real!. After I checked the water up in the front of the house I could hear something back there and I was, oh no! It was a hot mess for sure! Ha!
