  • Here is one of the most versatile leech patterns I've seen. Created by Gord of the flyguys northern division tie it in many colours and fish it on an intermediate sink stripping it trough the shallows or flip it into balanced mode and hang it under an indicator! This is one must have leech, thanks very much Gord!

    the material is great, good idea with the wire. i would personally tie it thinner

    Right on Brandyn little balanced leeches are my fav actually tied up some balanced micro torches and they are deadly effective thanks for sharing 😄

    I use a spinning reel when I go fishing.
    When I ty leech jigs I use 1/32 Jughead.
    I fly fish to I love using them when I go fishing.

    Does the tippet pull up the wire when you set the hook?

      Pete Lyford it will yes, if you tie one up you can see that it doesn't take much straight tension on the line to release it, land your fish, wrap your wire to pinch your tippet again and your reset!
