Hey Bud! Thanks very much glad you enjoyed it! When ya see it in the light and at different angles its got a pretty cool effect! Thanks again and Tightlines! Come on ice off!!!! haha
Killer pattern thanks for sharing. I was wondering do you purchase your anti static bags already cut into strips? I have been looking for it in my local shops here in utah, but I haven't been able to find it.
Chris Ashby hey chris, thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Fly shops don't typically stock it, best place to go is your local computer shop. It is used to ship computer parts so they usually have lots of it they throw away so you can usually get a lifetime supply in one trip lol. May see different colours/shades. I like the gun metal grey type colour the best. I then use a paper trimmer, the type with a board and sliding razor blade . This allows me to easily cut super thin strips that make tying with it easier. I hope this helps chris and thanks again very much for watching! Tightlines!
Anybody looking for anti-static bags... make friends with someone working for DISH Satellite. The Hopper in particular comes boxed in a smoked gray bag that would probably last you a lifetime.
Thanks so much for this video! I tried tying this last night and the static wrap I bought from a Vancouver fly shop was tinted grey and none of the colours of the tinsel or red sharpie came though at all. Is it possible you got your hands on a clearer wrap? I made sure not to overlap the anti static as you suggested. Where do you guys get your supply?
WiFi _ thank you very much I'm glad you enjoyed the video! For this pattern I do use a more clear static bag, there are a few different shades of it for sure. I get mine from a local computer shop, they usually have a bunch of it and will give it away. You can usually end up with a couple different shades of it this way and for this pattern I use the clearer stuff but the darker grey stuff is also deadly on other chronies so keep what you have for those and try to find the more translucent stuff! Good luck and tight lines!
BCFlyguys thanks for your quick response! Heading up to Fawn Lake next weekend so want to be ready. Time to hit up the computer shops! Any tips for Fawn this time of year?
If you get some more static bag play with thread colors underneath, and different wire ribs. Its a deadly chronie material and as for tips for Fawn look for the bugs my friend! Its the time of year where chronies are starting to pop and will be staging down below as well. If you find the bugs you have probably found the fish! Bring a variety of sizes and colors and I wish you all the best! Let us know how you make out!
You probably dont care but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me!

Can pretty much all chironomids be tied on Togens scud hooks? Or are there situations where other hooks are necessary?
Quality went to crap so we don't use them anymore. Daiichi 1120 is our go to scud hook now and so far zero failures! ;)
@@BCFlyguys thanks! What are the quality issues with the Togens?
@@jingles104 Hooks opening up and even breaking while playing fish. Even had a few break while tying in the vise. :(
Static bag? Is that. a plastic bag cut down?

What size was the hook and bead?
We tie this one from #16 - #10 scud hook (Daiichi 1120) you can find it here: www.canadianllama.com/?referrer=CNWR_27901533930133
