Crazy Im building these hardest thing for me to find is plexi glass guess i just use glass but all my nest are for starter nest out side the house i do like the open water hydration system would work good inside the house if ever I do this have about 5 of these made and cut one in half to fit in a 5 gal bucket have big flower pots but Im moving soon so dont want to waste time and moving these would be very hard
Hi! Thank you! ❤️ Extremely simple: when you fill the top chamber, the water travels through the pores of the Ytong, reaching the inside of the nest without flooding it. It actually works really well!
@BRUMAAnts thank you very much, but won't It be easy for ants to chew through the ytong? I have a messor barbarus, I made nest from small plastic containers, and those imbeciles are chewing on the top... so won't they be able to chew through that wet and already easy to destroy ytong? Thank you 😄
@@Astec711 Yeah, you're exactly right! For Messor it would be extremely easy to chew through the humid Ytong! Luckily, I have a Formica colony inside it, and they don't like to chew hard materials!
@BRUMAAnts OK, I will put my messor in there, but I will try to configure it so I can put test tubes filled with water in there... I think that way they will not try to escape 😄
Nice build!
Hi Alexander! Thank you so much! 🤗
P.S. I'm a big fan of your channel! 😜
@@BRUMAAnts you have some great videos yourself! 🙌🏻😄
Thank you now I’m going to put my carpenter ants in my new nest
Great! 😁

Hi! You can find plexiglass on Amazon if you can't find any store near you 😉
Looks Amazing!
Thanks! 😁
Nice build, but how does the hydratation chamber works?

@@Astec711 Hey. If the messor colony grows bigger they will chew the ytong for nest space.
The nest looks great! I wondered since the unboxing what you do with that...
Ahahah thanks a lot! 😁❤️
