- I disappeared for 4 months and now I am appearing back with a Hasbin hotel animatic? UM- YES.
I have been enjoying the Radio silence ship between Alastor and Vox so much. And I just thought this audio goes well with the (oh what if Vox had a crush on Alastor and wanted him to join his team, where our Ace Alastor is just not having it) head canon.

I know Vox was portrayed as a giant asshole in the show, but all the radiostatic fan art is making me just want to hug Vox so much and tell him he's going to be okay.

I love this cause Alastor is asexual and probably thinks of anyone who wants him sexually as just wanting him that way which probably hurts. Idk if he’s aromantic but let’s say for this video, he isn’t aromantic but doesn’t fall in love easily so when he realises Vox likes him in a sexual way (not realising that he wants him romantically too) it hurt Alastor or at least creeped him out so Vox’s confession made him want to turn away and he did. *For 7 fucking years!*
As an aroace spec person who still wants to have something akin to a relationship (basically), I think it sounds plausible. Even in relationships where sexual and romantic attraction are present (read: regular relationships) it's more than just that (it could be mostly based on romantic and sexual attraction at the beginning but usually people grow closer and get to know one another), but knowing someone wants you *this way* is a quick way to make one feel dehumanized/objectified and yes, it hurts (I can relate). And in other instances some people actually just end up being incompatible, so even if you both like one another but refuse to discuss what it is that you feel and want then it's not gonna last. And both Al and Vox aren't exactly the definition of healthy individuals (in general.)
I genuinely feel like Alastor had some alterous feelings towards Vox. Or he liked something about him maybe? (My headcanon is that they're both literally tech nerds so maybe that's why they got along in the past) And thought of him as someone important. But then Vox's feelings grew stronger and Alastor just couldn't handle that?? And maybe there was an underlying conflict as well. Then, seven years ago it all came to a boiling point

As someone who's asexual and a lesbian, it's hard when people want me sexually, especially from the opposite sex.
I feel bad because I can't offer them sex. I won't mind trying it out but I don't want it a lot.
I might be somewhere on the aromantic spectrum, I felt love before but it doesn't happen a lot.

I agree!! For example, in helluva boss when blitz said “but you wanting me to fuck you” they DO actually fuck- but in this case with Vox and Alastor, it could be a completely different case-
@@SOLID.SOLIDM Right! Here it comes off like Alastor is accusing Vox of only trying to recruit him to sleep with him, not necessarily that they've literally been hooking up. And maybe Vox is trying to explain that that's not the case. Like, sure he's HOPING to get with Alastor, but that's not the reason he brought him on board.
That's my take on it anyway ^^;
@@RLane-xz5cjHIII YES that is exactly what I wanted my animatic to portray. I am so happy that you interpreted that way as well. Alastor knows Vox has a crush towards him, it’s obvious, his face shows it all. But Alastor thinks that Vox is only seeking him out, or their friendship has turned sour because of Voxs desire to be with him sexually. However that is not the case at all.

Theories:
A: Vox was Alisters assistant and when Vox began to gain power he started to think Alister was beneath him
B: Vox was interested in Alister and they were friends but Vox wanted to be more so he made a move and Alister rejected him
C: Vox has a major Obsession with Alister but it got to much to the point even he didn’t want to deal with him anymore
D:(Any other theories you’d like to share)
A theory I have is that when Vox wanted Alastor to join the Vees (Instead of The Vees it would have been named The AVs if he had joined), and when Al said no he got pissed.

Damn why does this perfectly replicate that feeling of being rejected by someone you care about but you feel like if you loose your composure that you'd accidentally end up hurting them more than you already have so you just have to suffer in silence but then the first thing you do when you're not with them isn't have a mental breakdown but instead you hardly feel anything at all, but not that you forget what happened you just feel numb and empty.
Yeah I probably made a few typos that I don't feel like fixing.

This video has actually given me a new headcanon for Vox -
As shown in Episode Two, or "Radio Killed The Video Star", whenever Vox is experiencing severe anger or anything, he tends to buffer.
My headcanon is that this happens to Vox with any emotion, if he's feeling it intensely enough.
So, whenever he's really sad, he'll have these little glitches that have frames as if he were crying intensely, seeing that he probably can't actually cry, because he's a screen, and, as shown in his more demonic form, the red liquid running from his mouth doesn't exit the screen.
But, because Vox doesn't really seem to like showing off his more soft sides, he probably has the ability to hide what he's truely feeling and replace it with a more blank expression.
But, as I said, if he's feeling it intensely enough, he will buffer and his true emotions will show through.

Imagine that instead of a Vox asking him to join the Vees he ask him on a date and alastor being…well alastor rejected him and only thought of him as a friend Vox feeling embarrassed and heartbroken decides to slander Al’s name on one of his shows causing a media war (trademark). Al’s ultimately win but then he’s disappear for what ever reason cue episode 2. He (Al) at taunt Vox and the end of the episode by saying “you’ll hav ta try harder then that OLD FRIEND” reaffirming that Al saw him as a FRIEND.
But then why did Al lie in the song when he said “He asked me to join his team”? It could be that Al was also embarrassed by this and didn’t even want the idea Alf live in his public image.

Most RadioStatic lovers talk about how sad Vox is but I don’t think enough of u realize how bad Alastor must feel. Even if Vox wants him for more than just sex, Alastor doesn’t know that. It’s probably making him feel so *gross*.
And given the time period Al is from, nothing other than heterosexual relationships were accepted, so he’s probably faced this exact dehumanizing feeling so often that he doesn’t give romance a chance….
