- Lakers News came out that Donovan Mitchell maybe off the table for Lakers Nation. Lakers are trying to land a star and it's looking more and more likely to be Atlanta Hawks Trae Young. Trae might be the only star option for Lakers going forward and thus ends up a Laker.

Borderline stars are the way to go instead of using all the assets on 1 superstar. My ideal offseason moves are pairing a backcourt of Dejounte & Caruso, getting a quality center and having Reaves slot in as a 6th man.
He’s not available at the moment but you never know since he’s not a long term fit with Scoot and that’s Simons .
He’s a good blend between Trae and Mitchell as he’s able to provide great passing and playmaking like Trae along with being able to finish amongst the trees b/c he’s explosive like Mitchell
He’s on a very reasonable contract too so it won’t require a ton of players to match salary
If DLo opts in, then LAL could even try to expand the trade to try and get Jerami Grant too.

@@Brokewithnomoney Ye and he can also beat his opponent easier to get his buckets. Or you see him shuffle his way 1v1 to get a 3p shot and makes it. Dlo has a hard time doing so come play off time. Its almost more only catch and shoot. And hell nah could he handle the ball and make his buckets with ease by beating his opponent. 🤷♂️

The lakers are a swing for the fences type team. So if they can get Trae Young they will do that. But I’d much rather have Allen And Murray to help with depth.
Honestly, at age 39, I wish Lebron just dial it down a little and just become maybe a high tier Role player in order to let a younger star like Trae, if they ever get him, be AD's new duo partner. Maybe, somebody, try convince Bron to try to get 6MOTY. That way, AD can slide down back to PF and get another C.

The Lakers don't learn from their mistakes. What was the key for Denver to win it's championship? Experience playing together and becoming familiar with each other s strengths and weaknesses. The best teams in the playoffs this year were teams that have mostly been built through the draft or had 4 or five years of building team chemistry. As long as the Lakers keep rebuilding every year they are going to keep being outplayed and out coached especially against the playoff caliber teams. Why fire the coach and rebuild the roster . The Lakers are in a cycle of mediocrity with a impatient fan base with unrealistic expectations to compete for a championship every year. Even the best Lakers teams took several years to gel and develop a championship chemistry. Kobe & Shaq Kobe and Pau and yes even the Magic and Kareem dynasty took time.

I wish lebron would leave the lakers alone, the team could then allow their young players to develop and then the lakers could try to land a star level sf that could play defense. Preferably mikal bridges or trey Murphy. With Ad, reaves lakers could actual build a solid team, but they need to understand lebron is just too old to rely on, you could trust him on offense, but defensive he just doesn't have the legs to consistently defend. How can lakers be a good defensive team when they gotta cover him too?
Trae is not a player lakers should pursue tbh, he can't defend, his offense is nice, but what's the point if his guy will match what he can give.
