Thank you! That is great to hear! I have several other tactical videos you might enjoy on my channel, and I'll be publishing a video about end game pitfalls tomorrow.
Lol, was wonding whether you could jump someone straight forwards or straight sideways, but then realized that the checkers are all on the same coloured square so that impossible lol xD
You are correct! There are variants of checkers in which captures can be made forward and backward, and kings can fly across the entire board. Not so in this variant, however!
Hi Liam, in this game, you can only jump forward and backward if the piece is a king. There are other variants of checkers in which regular pieces can jump forward and backward. Hope that helps, and thanks for watching!
After some thinking, I don't believe that is allowed in any variant of checkers (just about every country has its own checkers variant). I know this is possible in Chinese Checkers, but that is a completely different game. Thanks again for your question!
Can you do triple or quadruple jumps
At 0:59 can only kings do that jump where you can 2 pieces out at the same time or can the pawn do it to?
Great question! In this position, both a regular checkers piece, or a king can execute that double jump. Hope that helps!
Do you describe positional checkers checkers positionally
Yes, I've always said this variant of checkers is 70 percent positional, and 30 percent tactical.
This was very helpful 👍
Thank you for the feedback! I also have videos on other tactical elements in checkers you might find helpful, too!
Interesting very well done
Thank you!

Do you have to double jump
Yes, the entire jumping sequence must be made!
Can you jump over one and then jump over one backwards with a regular checker or is that only kings

@@azcheckers what variant would that be?
@@lauralu9265the international variant for example
Can you jump your opponent 6 times in one turn?
It is theoretically possible, yes!
Can a king jump over a piece then jump over another one from across the board?
Hi Smetky -- no, in this variant of checkers, a king cannot fly across the board for a capture.
My sister got in a fight cause she thought you couldn't double jump
Oh no! Sorry to hear the rules invoked a fight! Hopefully my video was able to relay the proper rules and jumps.
same bro
Do u have to kill ur opponent if u have the option to or can u kill them in a few turns
You must jump if given the possibility to do so.
@@azcheckers ok
Can we cut backwards ?
Only as a king, but not as a regular piece.
would have subbed if you explained how to setup instead of showing some double jumps then recommending i set up
What about jumping over your own guys to get your opponent’s piece?
Hello! Nope, that is not allowed in this game.
