7'3" Victor Wembanyama Was UNSTOPPABLE At The Fiba World Cup! Future #1 PICK!? 🔥

- Victor Wembanyama out of France really is NEXT UP! The 7'3" seventeen year old has been popping up #1 on many 2023 NBA mock drafts and I sure can see why. With a 7'8" wingspan, he can literally do it ALL! He can handle the rock, shoot from range, protect the rim, and obviously DOMINATE the paint on offense. He just led his 19U French squad to a silver medal in the FIBA World Cup and came real close to gold against a tough USA squad. Peep this mix and these INSANE highlights 🤯
If he does what Giannis did as far as hitting the weight room and putting on some weight this kid will be unstoppable in the NBA.
Understand, but he’s no where close to as explosive as Giannis
@@chauncyjohnson947 no but he’s bigger
Kd+kp = 7'3 Victor
@@chauncyjohnson947 Giannis used to look just like this kid...skinny AF and lanky...and this kid can shoot too.
@@ThePriceisRightB Giannis was a good 3 point shooter before he put on weight. Wembanyama needs to make sure he doesn't change his form as he bulks
7"3' can shoot and dribble , yet aggresive in block. Nice
Bro litterally a walking cheat code
His dribble is not that good bro dont watch only highlights, and he is not that good to set screen his ones are mostly useless
DunkZz Victor is only 17... Of course he has some areas of improvement lol it won't kill you to admit this young guy is talented and has a big potential
@@brunopinard1825 oui mais faut pas le mettre trop haut en hype
Exactly. Haha
what really impressed me most of him is his fight, i mean the guy ain't scared of nobody and it was very evident whole tournament long..watch out NBA!
why would he be when he a foot taller than everybody
@@mikew9268 yeah but teams were playing him physical but he didn't backdown on nobody
@@markevans8992 no shit cherlock...
@@elmichellangelo You a smartass like a female.
Lol like Zion playing in high school. Why would he be afraid of ppl who can’t contest his shots. All hype, he’s gonna get bang up in nba
if this dude puts on muscle and weight he's gonna be unstoppable
agree
I'm sure that if it wasn't 7'3 but he was like 6'2 / 6'3 he would be a player like many others, he can only make those blocks because he is at least 30cm taller than the opponents he blocks the shots from.
Do you know how hard it is to gain weight and muscle at 7’3. You would have to eat like 7,000 calories a day
@@floatyseagull9472 facts, I'm 6,2 at 14 years old and I kinda look skinny even my mom says I look skinny for my age
@@floatyseagull9472 bro, putting bulk if you are thin is a problem regardless of your height, he was lucky enough to be so tall as if he was as tall as a normal basketball player he surely wouldn't be able to do what he does
guess we were right about this kid huh... great to rewatch
Alternate title: 7’3” stickman destroys everyone in the fiba World Cup
@Jermaine Johnson USA not goona win if this guy not foul out if you watch the game
@@ghost-cp4sc blah blah blah. But the USA DID win. If this, if that.....
@@chrisf8855 Exactly, they love to hate on the U.S all U.S does is win.
@@joseanthompson9069 poor little american
@@olivierb9716 Who won? American
He has a crazy high release point which can't be defended on any lvl. Just needs to make sure he works on his lateral quickness so he can be useful on defense against guards.
I don’t know why he’s trying to create space with the defender
Just shoot over everyone like KD lol
dude he's laterally quicker that a lot of guards. he's good
@@revl6151 everyone is a coach now
man is playing 2k out here
Dude maxed the height in 2k
I like this dudes energy it sticks out just as much as his play
He's got great footwork already, that's scary
He moves really well for 7'3". Once he puts on some weight and muscle he could be a star nba player. If he is only 17 years old now, he will get even taller which is crazy.
Soon the france basketball will be a monster team..
His jumper looks scary, imagine guarding that smooth looking jumper
He played really well in FIBA World Cup U19. Future is bright.
One thing you can't teach is HEIGHT 👍
He does need a little more size but if he picks up the “Sky Hook” it’s over!!!! His shooting ability shows me that he is capable of the Legendary Sky Hook.
What for he needs skyhook? After Kareem Jabar nobody has replicated it. He just need more strength to resist NBA physicality.
@@alopez1571 That is factual about the history of that move (skyhook). The thing is is that Tory didn't say he needs a skyhook he just said if he had it or learned it it would be very difficult for any defender to take him. Kareem would gladly show him or any big man that move. Besides wouldn't you be impressed if he learned it and used it as one of his arsenals for scoring? I would.
He’s good, like above average good, no question about it!! 5 star I think!!
Amazing strength and balance especially off 1 foot, like giannis and Kareem. Probably the best prospect I’ve ever seen, including Lebron.
Hell yes, I've seen KD couldn't press 95 pounds at combine, also Jabar UCLA days.. he' better OMG!!!
@@justice929 Kareem at 18, was destroying UCLA's championship team with his freshman teammates, because freshman had to sit there first season. I say to that to let you know, that this young man is good, but Kareem was extraordinary and LeBron at 18 had the body of Anthony Mason, but ran the court like Drexler. So when you say that a player is better than them, you have to put it in the true context. This kid does remind of a young Kevin Garnett. Check out Garnetts high school highlights
LeBron came out a physical specimen that imposed his will physically on the League day-one, I wouldn't be surprised if he had a head on head collision (while jogging)with one of the cheerleaders they would probably knock him over... It's going to take two years at least just to get his weight where he's not going to get hurt... LeBron came in a man among mostly boys, day one in the league
We are witnessing something super special here! No one has ever been that tall with that much skill. Plays like a point/shooting guard and a center at the same time. Mine is blown. The only person that is kinda like him is KG..
This young is going to be a problem for real he's got everything I've only watched a minute or two and can clearly see if he stays healthy he's MVP all time great potential he has to want it also
Just hope his knees stay strong cuz being 7’3” is the biggest downfall. Kids a beast for sure. I’m impressed on his handling skills and drive. All around shooter.
@@Cortney_Whitecotton yeah, conditioning and foot work are going to be critical and hopefully he will develop good habits unlike Zion.
Hopefully he will become what Kristaps should have been. Always worried about these crazy tall dudes though..
This kid doesn't seem to be afraid of the paint like kristof! He reminds of gobert with a offensive game!
Kristaps fell off with injuries. Same thing will happen to this kid and anyone their sizes. 7'3" is too fragile
@@willgillis5857 U can't compare both the other plays u19 the other guy plays in big league and suffered injuries. Let's hope he does'nt suffer injuries same with tall players.
If they play center the way it's supposed to be played they'll be okay the game hasn't changed is just that the rules has changed and they can put it back the way it was
I think that one day, we'll beat US in an Olympic final. Many talents to come.
This kid reminds me someone kid protege from the Philippines. Cant wait to see them both in NBA in the near future.
Is it Kai Sotto?
he's more skilled than kai.
He's playing at his age level rightnow. Needs to prepare his body for real competition in the future.
Don’t be surprised when u see him in the NBA🤭
He is supposed to be the 1st pick in his draft class
@@riccardocampanati3750 not really... Just because he's tall dosen't make him op. Teams will wait a few years until he builds muscle and sign him
@@spennymybah5928 he has a great shoot, ball handle and court vision for his height and age, watch the video
@@riccardocampanati3750 these are just highlights lol. Nba scouts and coaches don't look at players highlights. I think this guy is going to be dangerous as a future nba player but trust me he won't be number one pick.
@@spennymybah5928 mock drafts say this
Don’t sleep on this frenchy guy!!!!
Shaq dominance with an Hakeem finesse, a Steph curry shooting touch, a Kyrie savvy, and Jordan will to win. Should be the greatest of all time in no time.
cleanest jump shot I've seen on a 7 footer
7'3 Steph dude was made in some lab... crazy...
The next NBA player to achieve a quadruple-double !
That boy is such a level-headed.
Allez la France !
Looking like you will be right on this one
Peut-être le plus talentueux des joueur français de toute l'histoire

Just stay strong and healthy Big boy!!!
Very impressive with his height and can move like a normal 6footer player.
Lil slower then a 6ft player but still his size make up for the speed but he definitely not slow
Keep doin ya thang broskie🇨🇩
This right here is the reason why the Spurs are tanking and trading off everyone. He is going to be a beast once he puts everything together.
💯 right
spot on brother the insight of the spurs front office.
He has a really outstanding game.
I like how to defense gives up when he shoots
Usually 7+ footers don’t play with this much finesse and tenacity, he’s basically a French Chet, I’d love to see them go at it in the future.
They already did
He’s better than Chet
If this man played college ball it’d be almost no contest
@@ugotarbysvag9078 he hasn't watched basketball from the past much but I agree with you.
If this guy does something and things n such he will be unstoppable in the NBA
Sky is the limit for this kid
Just got try to take care of his body from early on
The real mvp of the tournament
Fluid like a young Lew Alcindor when he was a high schooler.
Haven’’t heard that name is a long long time haha.
I don't think Kareem had handles like this kid though but then again, it was just a different era.
@@arisart22 Yes definitely a different era, but the body control is there. Even better comparisons are Ralph Sampson and Sam Bowie. I saw him as a teens and they had control of their 7 foot plus bodies like this kid and with the perimeter skills like this guy.
He looks like a young Ralph Sampson. He will definitely be the number one pick in the 2023 nba draft. He's a one-of-a-kind player who can do a little of everything on court ala David Robinson but he can also handle the rock plus shoot the 3pt shot. He also has size and length to make it difficult on the defensive side of the ball.
Cool viedeo
He's already better than ben Simmons. He can shoot.
That's just cold. But you ain't lying.
No he not y’all 🧢 n
And Rudy Gobert
Wheres the lie?
He has a real chance to be good because he has some quickness some real post moves and sits down in the athletic position and concentrates on the moment.
Him and mobley finna take over the league
This is Rudy Gobert if he transformed into a Super Saiyan
man if he can stay healthy. transformational.
How is he moving and shooting like this at 7"3. He is going to be a Special Player
Imagine a frontcourt in team france of Gobert and Him for the next olympique
and theyll have homecourt advantage......
Seriously speaking, the US team needs zion and AD at the frontcourt, or they would be bullied throughout the game.
@@chvincent3697 He (Zion) would be the perfect mismatch for Victor. (Proof with Lofton Jr.)
Hell yea French and Australian teams will be really good in 2024
The kid is a beast. It's like France is developing better big men than us right now. I mean we get the best guards and forwards, but the big men; well they're tearing it up.
They literally only have him and Gobert, and we have Bam, Mobley, Wiseman, Chet, Paolo, Allen all still developing.
I wouldn't rush to say that.
Victor is insane
If he ever gets some explosiveness he might be unstoppable on offensive
Best young player in a world
Watching him dunk so effortlessly makes the hoop feel lower
He be another Raph Samson in the NBA
Without injuries please
Future 🐐
Let’s go ahead and do the “Here before 700k views”. He’s obviously about to be famous once he hits the league.
This kid is unreal. How many dudes you know flexin their bones
The crazy part is how few people are in the stands. They literally have a chance to watch a potential NBA all-star, possible hall of famer in high school.
This kid is gunna gain 30 pounds of pure muscle when he hits the league and he will be unstoppable
I agree. It's probably gone take like 3 seasons to see what he can really be.
As a tall guard this man gives me hope, it’s really Victor and KD at this point lol
Future NBA in the works.... no doubt.
He moves amazingly well for a guy his height
This dude is amazing .....
This guy is unstoppable. Giannis Antetokoumpo:hold my trophy.
His making it to the NBA for sure
One contact with shaq and his done for the rest of his life 🤣🤣
KAT-like offensive potential with Gobert-like defensive potential. Arguably the best basketball prospect in a decade
Crazy how skilled all these 7 footers are nowadays
Future nba champ.
His blocks are like volleyball spikes
he is so diffircult, i wanna be tall like him
Wembanyama is what Chet Holmgren dreams of being.
Spurs legend y’all heard it here first!
The next Kareem..😏✌🏄♂️
Yes guys futur french rookie nba 👌🔥🔥🇨🇵🇨🇵
This kid looks like he has Rudy Gobert's defense, Kristaps Porzingis jump shot and Nikola Jokic's passing skills.
He way better than Chet imo
That Jokic like touch pass❤️
Awesome!
I’m sensing a rivalry with Chet Holmgren that could last 15 years.
it would be great! old school big man rivalry like in the old days
@@laurent-minimalisme he destroyed Chet
This dude makes Holmgren look normal. Damn
Dude reminds me of when I used to watch Bol Bol's highschool highlights. Hopefully he stays healthy unlike Bol.
Victor Wembanyama is the Next Ralph Sampson
Man is unicorn for real..
Legit Star in the making 🔥🔥🔥
This is only highlights but what I see is a 7'3 Center with guard skills, high basketball IQ, Passion, quick feet and the will to want to play defense
Real athletic for 7'3

victor 'block party' wembanyama
He's the second coming of George "Ice Man" Gervin, at 7'3. Yes Sir!!!
After watching this video ... I give him the highest complement ... he reminds me of Lew Alcindor (now Kareem Abdul Jabar) as a young player in how he dominates. They may have to bring back the "no dunk" rule again if he goes to college (only thing they had to stop Lew Alcindor).
Nice passive racism
The "no dunk rule" didn't stop Alcindor (Kareem). He won two more NCAA rings. Ten years later NCAA figured we probably won't see another player like this, which was correct. So the dunk was reinstated.
@@williamkennedy907 Yeah you're right ... he did that with no shot clock also ... teams would stall on UCLA all the time (Dean Smith of North Carolina would take the air out the ball with 7 minutes left in the game on everybody).
Im sure his agent and trainers are getting his base and gym muscle in order…cause when that happens it’s a Saran Wrap period…..he has a natural ability to play all positions with control and balance.
