what you have just witnessed is without a doubt THE most killer band of ladies to ever take the stage. the talent here is off the charts in every aspect. japanese girl groups have been coming out of the woodwork for over 10 years now but LOVEBITES is the pinnacle of all of them imo. wait till you hear more - they will win you over in a heartbeat.

I was trained in Classical music (Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi), added Metal in my youth (Iron Maiden, Helloween...), I always appraciated good Pop, and I am open to Rap. I thought, that I know what excellent music is.
Enter Lovebites! 😊 They are inspired by the best composers and musicians ever to walk this earth, and share their own skills with the most touching recollections of former maestro's. They are just *incomparable* . And that is probably the most difficult quality to ever achieve in music (business).

This song is part of LOVEBITES' more melodic "E"-song cycle: "Epilogue", "Edge Of The World", and "Empty Daydream"...
Almost every other song is "more rock" (more metal) and much heavier and faster than this. I've never seen someone starting with "Epilogue", which is partly an unusual song for LOVEBITES, but I get the feeling, you'll like the other songs very much! All their 60+ self written songs are exquisite, and their life performances are stunning (and relentless!) All the members of LOVEBITES are masterful at playing with their multiple instruments. This supergroup is playing many different styles of heavy metal, reminiscent of other great bands, who influenced them, having probably the most accumulated talent in one group. And they play extremely tight and clean! They will not disappoint you!

I'm just beginning my Lovebites journey, so I haven't listened to all that many songs. This one was a surprise. I'm more used to the "wall of sound" that these very talented women can produce. This was a surprise, and I really liked it.
Great reaction and interpretation of the song. This to me is the best metal band in the world. You'll be amazed by this band when you hear more. This is on the mellow side for them. They vary from mellow like this to fast power metal. I'd recommend Edge of the Word, Swan Song w/Chopin intro, Frozen Serenade on the easy side.(All live). For heavy songs Holy War, Set the World on Fire, Shadowmaker, Hammer of Wrath 2023. (All live)

Hi From France.. Great reaction to this Lovebites masterpiece.. Over 60 to go, so strap yourself in. This is one of their slowest songs and a perfect place to start.. Your analysis on everything was spot on.. Can't wait to see you do more from these beautiful, classy and talented ladies..
Great ballad. I think this is their slowest and most mellow song. Dive in and get your face melted by their power. I've been listening to rock since the early 60s and quite honestly these ladies can hold their end up against any other band I've heard.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites music. These ladies are phenomenal. Their talents are on the top level.
They always wear white costumes. Thanks to this they look like ancient Greec goddesses. And they perform in heels!
All their songs have amazing guitar solos and almost all of them have duoling solos.
"Epilogue" is one of the slowest their songs and it is one of their "E-songs".
The most of their compositions are very fast.
You should continue to listen to them. Try their song "Holy war" or the song "Set the world on fire" from their official UA-cam channel. You will be impressed.

The two guitarist are " M & M " Midori ( blonde ) & Miyako, they are friends, shredd sisters & my favorite guitar duo !! They play 80s style power & thrash metal, but have songs i know you would like, such as, " Chopin Intro + Swan Song, " live from Zepp DiverCity Tokyo, 2020. 😏❤️🎙🎸🎹🥁😎🤘P.S. The music was written by Miyako & the lyrics by the lead singer Asami.

Landing on the Lovebites airstrip with this particular version of “Epilogue” puts you in a very rare, but in my view, very privileged position. You’ve basically experienced the calm before the storm. Asami, the vocalist, is quite possibly the most expressive singer ever to front a rock band. In fact I commented recently that the only other person I could think of who is in the same class is Freddie Mercury, because not only can she sing as sweetly and as passionately as you heard here, but she has a range to rival Rob Halford in his prime. I love comparing her to Ronnie James Dio because then I get to tell everyone that they share the same birthday…10th July. I likened her to Freddie mostly because her ability to energise, control and command an audience is something to behold. All done with the grace of her years of ballet training.
This is my favourite single song performance by my favourite band, even though my favourite track (Soldier Stands Solitarily) would have you wondering if you were still listening to the same band. I’ll add my voice to the avalanche of praise already expressed here. These ladies (minus this bassist plus new, young and extremely talented bassist) are without doubt the best band of any genre, any era, that at 63 years old I have ever seen and heard. The praises sung here are not inflated hype. They are THAT GOOD. Nice reaction, now strap in, because this is one crystal in a very, very big iceberg.

If you are new to them, let me introduce; These are master class musicians, very strong in music theory, reading and writing ability. and the most exquisite musicians with impeccable control of time signature dynamics, which is rare to have all five in a group. Perhaps that is why they are very relax, but seamless in their integration. Check out "swan song" by them, which explains why they are currently the best in the business of Heavy metal music.
Well, you've just witnessed greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile proficient musicians. Some people say that they're redefining metal. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity). For you, my next recommendations are "Edge of the world", "Empty daydream", "Liar", "Frozen serenade", "Chopin etude + Swan song" (all live, because their live performances are outstanding). Of course, they play much heavier stuff like "Set the world on fire", "Break the Wall", "Shadowmaker", "The awakening/Hammer of Wrath", "Judgement day", "When destinies align", "Stand and deliver (shoot'em down"), "Above the Black Sea", "Under the red sky" (all live also).

No matter which music style you prefer personally: *There is not 1 bad song on their first 4 consecutive studio albums.* Be it Soft Rock, Thrash Metal, Speed Metal, Melodic Metal, Symphonic Metal or elements of Bolero or Chopin in it: *Musical excellence is Lovebites' strongsuit* . As you already witnessed, Lovebites consists of 5 top musicians, of whom (by the way) 3 are musical prodigies, i.m.h.o.: Miyako (younger guitarist), Haruna (drums), and recently Fami (new bassist).
I just do not understand, why (for heaven's sake) these unique and precious ladies still seem to "fly under the radar"?! In my opinion, they ought to get way more international attention. 🐺

You picked out just about the slowest song that Lovebites have ever written. In spite of appearances this is a heavy metal band and, in the opinion of their large and loyal fan base, one of the best metal bands in the world. If you follow them you'll find a lot more "rock star moments" to come!

They have never played your side of the world! They have toured the UK and europe, played some of the biggest out door festivals there, including Bloodstock, Download uk and Wacken to name a few. Also in asia outside of Japan. Why they have not played the us is not a mystery!! I have my own idea about this but I can say it could be down to the style of music which is more akin to where the style of music is more familiar

They're a metal band. An unbelievably talented one. Great songwriting, great musicianship, but MUCH heavier and faster than this most of the time. The singer's name is Asami. She used to be an R'n'B singer, that is perhaps why she didn't sound like a rock singer to you. Interestingly, although Lovebites are a metal band, the other ladies chose Asami nevertheless (from a demo tape she had made), because Lovebites play very melodic classic/power metal (with a side of thrash), which is characterized by melodic singing (which can actually be very operatic at times). Asami, who barely knew what metal was when she was asked to join, now writes some of their heaviest songs. She got infected. :)

Welcome to Lovebites. Phenomenal band. This song is one of the outlier songs by them, as the majority of their music (95% of it) is pure heavy metal played at a frenetic pace that will blow your mind. They do have a few more "softer" songs similar to this one, but almost all of them are much heavier - think Iron Maiden or Judas Priest level of heaviness.

You're right about Asami's singing, she started singing 'Rythm and Blues' this is the first 'Rock- Metal' band she's been in, the dark haired guitarist 'Miyako' is a classically trained pianist since the age of three, she picked up guitar at 18 and taught herself to play.
Best thing to happen to music in years. Petite women who wear their femininity proudly and while dressed in heels (needed to be seen on stage), and gowns (white again to be seen on stage) play better LIVE than most bands do in studio with all the "AID" of engineering. Haruna/drums 4' 9"; Asami/vocals 4' 10": Miho/bass 4' 11' (founder who left the group in 2021); Midori/blond guitar 4" 11" and finally Miyako/piano/guitar the giant at 5' 2" all grace and class and yet they will melt your face with their insane talent over a 2 hour set with different songs and genres blended as only LB can do. First of all, awesome reaction to Lovebites, you will eventually find out that all five women are all classically trained pianists and all five are excellent composers. Miyako is the one you pointed out she is the one who composes about 50% of the songs and is a master of it. The other guitarist is Midori, singer is Asami, Bass here is Miho who no longer with the band and now they have a phenomenal replacement Fami, and last but not least the drummer is Haruna and she is a beast on drums. They started out back in 2016 and have released EPs and albums since then. All of their discography is phenomenal I know since I have everything thus far no filler songs no bad songs and they have done 90% of the songs live and they do have many hidden gems that are out of this world. You will also find out just how diversified they are, they just don't jam to one set genre and style but multiple. They truly are a sight to behold not just in beauty but in talent most importantly.

LOVEBITES was formed in 2016 by Miho(Ba) and Haruna(Dr), members of the band "DESTROSE", which went on hiatus in 2015.
The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won 'BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hummer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HUMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.
"Bloodstack open air 2018(Aug. 10)" also participated.
On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.
LOVEBITES toured the Netherlands, Germany, France and UK from November 13-21, 2018.
Asami (Vo) of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm "Download Japan 2019(March 21)", singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's 'Love Bites', which gave the band their name.
I participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".
And Asami of LOVEBITES appeared as a guest on stage at Halestorm Download Festival UK 2019, singing alongside "Lzzy" Hale on Halestorm's "Love Bites" again after Japan.
LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

This is by far the gentlest introduction to Lovebites that you could have had! It's a great song, very 80s rock ballad in feel, but not what they usually do. If you want to graduate more slowly towards their norm, I'd recommend their song Edge of the World. It starts out a lot like this one, but as it progresses, it really takes off. This is LOVEBITES with the brakes on. Their only real slow song to date. A real corker though.
To be honest, this is by far my least favorite Lovebites song - just waaaay too repetitive and monotonous. That said, this live version is MUCH better than the studio, most particularly because of Midori's solo at the end. It's not a bad song by any means, and it is still better than most bands' best, but imo it just doesn't measure up to the musical dynamic that is most of Lovebites' music.
