@@MetalHeadbanger7he didnt know. The show made a point that Nancy was the person he trusted most in the world. Considering he was a paranoid conspiracy theorist, it made the open secret of the cheating even more of a punch.
It could be unintentional, but I've always interpreted the episode about Joseph being an alien as proof that he's always "known".
To me it comes off as him going to the person he trusts the most, Hank, and basically begging him to confirm if his paranoia about his wife is correct, since he doesn't want to confront her without knowing others can see it too. There's also the phone monitoring gags and home surveillance.
@@SteadyxSwordagreed that and he's been in full-blown denial for years that's the episode where he awakens from the denial He goes back into it to protect himself and Joseph from the truth, also Nancy better thank God Joseph has never got seriously sick and needed up a organ transplant cuz Dale would have instantly found out that wasn't his son despite his trusting nature
@@SteadyxSwordYou are an anime profile picture, nobody in the history of the world will ever take you seriously. You are a living, walking joke.
RIP 😢 🙏 ❤💐
Honestly Nancy never deserved him. I won't be surprised if they make John red corn more involved the reboot will have a rocky start
Dale is my favorite cartoon character of all time. I can't imagine a reboot without him. RIP Johnny Hardwick.
He actually recorded his lines for the first season of the reboot.
I’m not crying I just got pocket sand in my eye 😢 R.I.P Johnny Hardwick
Anyone else immediately burst out laughing remembering that old king of the hill ytp when Dale said "Wait a minute I have a wife"
The towel manager was able to marry the prom queen. Dale loves his wife.
I think you are spot on with Nancy's personality and why she is the way she is.
My all time favorite Dale moment was when a woman was coming on to him, he admitted he was attracted to her but would not break his marriage vows under any circumstances. Dale Gribble: paranoid, chain smoking, loyal and honorable till the end. R.I.P Johnny Hardwick.
"Oh my god, we forgot his birthday" Had me laughing too, Shady 🤣
RIP Johnny Hardwick you brought Dale to life and will be missed very dearly
I restarted the whole king of the hill series and when I heard Johnny died I cried bc dale my favorite character he’s always have been
I love that ending line where Dale claims he thinks John Redcorn is gay, showing just how far his obliviousness goes.
5:02 Dale really turned his game up this episode ❤
Dale(to pigeon):”You heard me, I love my wife!”
RIP Johnny Hardwick, you were full of talent.
R.I.P. Rusty Shackleford
This was one of my favorite Dale episodes as well. Very well done Shady.
Rest in Peace Johnny Hardwick, your voice as Dale will be missed 😭♥️
The man the myth the legend Johny Hardwick rest in peace you deserve it
RIP Johnny. I also only know him from KOTH but he was so epic one is enough to honor the dude.
RIP Dale🙏🏽
"why is he still in your bed?" Asked the man to the married woman.
To be fair, it may or may not be common knowledge that Dale and Nancy sleep apart. Peggy for example knew that they only sleep together on his birthday or on the holidays.
I know the plot of KotH centres around Hank and his family but c’mon Dale and he’s Extreme Prepper-style antics were a big part of what made this show memorable … R.I.P Mr Hardwick 😔😔😔
Thanks for the new video Shady and go hug your furbabies all 💙🐱💙
(Eleventh!!!)
Been waiting for you to make this video since Johnny passed since I love your videos on King of the hill. My mom actually played Nancy Gribble and I've always loved his character and voice. He will be incredibly missed by all those who knew him. Anyone who got to meet him even once was blessed. I remember when I was a little kid at the recording studio he would do his voice to me and it was hilarious. Rest in peace Johnny Hardwick, God I was really excited to see you again after all these years.
RIP Johnny Hardwick, and thank you for uploading this.
No matter if you were an avid KOTH fan or someone who just saw an episode or two in passing..
Hearing Johnnys voice immediately put a pair of $5 gas-station sunglasses, a dangling maritoba cig, an orange trucker hat and brown dickeys shirt in your head.
It's like we lost Johnny and Dale and are mourning 2 sorrows at once. RIP Mr. Hardwick. you were a gift we will treasure always.
The layers of depth and irony for these characters and their circumstances are sheer in quantity, and the delivery and performance of these acts were given in extraordinary quality.
Good stuff Johnny. Rest well.
RIP Johnny, he's cooking Gerbster in heaven now
Johnny Hardwick passing hits close to home. Dale Gribbles antics brought me so much joy in my late teens and 20s. Even when i felt down or anxious, Dale Gribbles escapades never failed to put a smile on my face
I do like just by being himself, Dale had Nancy and John Redcorn realized they've been horrendously shitty towards him and ended a long running gag that treated him as a punching bag because they genuinely like him. Doesn’t quite change how they're pretty terrible people but it's a step of decency.
Though the episode where he wins back the gun club from a low key psychopath with flower vans or killing an army of cockroaches without the use of poison gas were some high wins for Dale.
rip to a legend
"Did you win?"
That's such an amazing understated moment right there.
For anyone that doesn't know: Dale's voice actor, Johnny Hardwick has a youtube channel and uploaded so many videos and live streams of him interacting and having fun with fans. If you're missing him, or Dale, I highly suggest checking it out. He really was like Dale in real life too. Such a sweet person, and a good soul. RIP Johnny, and thank you.
Excellent video Shady.
Rest in peace King he was the real King of the Hill and now he is resting on the hills of heaven with a beer in your hand
I read a post that said he recorded a couple episodes for the new series before passing.
That's good to hear
RIP JOHN Hardwick. I used to watch KOTH in the 90s and I recently started watching clips on YT and I have to say, the series still holds up. Dale was always a highlight.
Rip Johnny Hardwick I hope they handle dale with respect
R.I.P Johnny. 😭 Dale was my favorite character.
4:29 And just like that a good pick up line breaks Nancy's cold demeanor. I don't blame her. That's was so sweet.
7:05 And once again, we got a winner.
Rest well Johnny… you brought joy to this world 🤍🕊️
The episode that shows that Dale does, in fact, got mad rizz.
Rip Hardwick
RIP Johny Hardwick. Thank you so much and you too Shady for the vid.
God bless you Johnny boy. Rest in peace.
Johnnys just one of those voice you can never recast. RIP. Still hope youll do the episode of dale and the female exterminator to show how loyal dale was compared to nancy
Rest in peace Mr Hardwick. Phenomenal work as always Shady……Dale is my favorite King of the Hill character, he’s just so weird and funny but he’s a WAY better man than Nacy deserves. Ps I like the it’s a wonderful life episode of Fairy odd parents.
Just watched this episode today! Quickly became one of my favourites. Nancy, John and Dale are three characters I always enjoy watching interacting together. I'm glad the writers decided to end the "Infidelity arc of Nancy" much earlier than I expected.
This is one of the best Dale episodes that was ever made. RIP Johnny you will be missed
You cut John Redcorn’s best line from the episode…
“I can’t see you tonight…I have a headache…”
“So? Just take an aspirin”
Best tribute video to the late Johnny Hardwick. I cried at the end of the video because you did an amazing job and pays respect to Dale and his actor. Thank you for this, Shady.
Johnny your talent, and personhood will be missed! 😔
Rest in Peace, Johnny Hardwick
I think my overall favorite Dale moment is quite early on in King of the Hill. After Peggy goes skydiving and has her accident, when she's all banged up and in a full body cast Dale straights up just says "Hank, what you do to your wife? I didn't teach you that!"
I think that was Cotton
That was Cotton.
Dale was a sweet man who loved his wife, and Johnny Hardwick did the most fantastic job with him. RIP you amazing legend
RIP Mr. Hardwick, thank you for your performance. Also thank you Shady for uploading this tribute video.
When I heard he passed it hit in unexpected ways. It made me really sad. Turns out Dale was my favorite character. R.I.P. You will be missed.
Man this shit makes me so sad. Dale's not always the best guy, but he really does genuinely love Nancy and Joseph with ALL his heart. Man deserves better.
Rest in Peace Johnny Hardwick. May you remain unknowable.
I lol'd, and was glad, that you kept in Dale's response to Russian Roulette. "You... Aren't familiar with the game. Are you?"
Can't watch this episode without thinking of the DurhamRockerZ YTP, especially "Wait a Minute, I have a wife!" dance to the Duke Nukem Theme remix.
Oh my god, that was my introduction to KotH as a teenager!
I wonder if DurhamRockerZ is still out there making hilarious video edits...
10/10 love the theory of Dale knowing and constantly trying to make the two of them feel bad, get upset, or get hurt. Episodes like this make it amazing
It's true catharsis that they argued right in front of Dale.
I prefer to think he doesn’t know because he trusts Nancy so much that the idea of her cheating doesn’t even cross his mind.
It was nice to see them actually get back together. Dale proved to be such a good man in this episode.
I didn't know he died he had such a beautiful voice 😢
I have a habit of rewatching videos from certain youtubers whenever I'm in a shitty mindset, and it gets to a point where I'm able to recite certain things from those videos just because of how many times I've looped them -- currently that's what I've been doing with your King of the Hill videos, and I'm over the moon to see you post a new one.
Especially in respect to Johnny Hardwick, there will never be another Johnny and there will never be another Dale.
Rest in peace, johny hardwick. Forever missed
Man, this video just makes me appreciate the song “John Redcorn” so much more: SiR is a genius, inspired by genius. I still randomly scream “Sha-sha-SHAHHH” to this day. I loved this show as a kid, & have so many memories watching it with my siblings.
RIP Hardwick. Your work will live through the ages.
Few Voice Actors understood the assignment like Johnny Hardwick
R.i.p john you will be missed but not forgotten
Rest in peace Dale.🕊️
