Pour your bait in a straight line going away from you. They won’t stand over the bait line with bait between their feet they will eat perpendicular to the line and always be broadside. If you want a headshot with a rifle do a line going left to right so they will be facing you.
@@gunshyarchery also another thing I do to get close is dig a hole about 14-16” deep and just big enough for a hog to get his head in and fill half way with corn. They will stick their head in it to get the corn and their eyes, nose and sometime ears are now covered. Makes drawing easy.
Congratulations and thank you for taking us along. Noticed your choice of clothes, looked like cotton and synthetics? My winter preference will always be wool all the way, love my Asbell coat, cheers from🇳🇴
Your first situation with the pig...that exact situation has had me thinking of dropping draw weight, sometimes you need that draw to be smooth and silent...harder with the higher draws....I'm thinking of going from 51 down to 44 for that reason...great video! And hi from MB! - thanks for taking us along.
Yeah for sure, I went from 53 to 47... it helps for sure. But I still shoot the 53, the extra lbs sure spits em out... This pig could hear me moving while going to draw... the gig was up.
45 min. wasted on raising the bow probably another 45 min. drawing the bow . you do know you can shoot them in the head or neck too dont you ? you dont have to wait for a quartering away shot or a broad side shot . a neck shot destroys a good portion of organs in the neck akong with arteries . and he will bleed out quicker if you use a large cutting mechanical broadhead .
DAMN NICE BOAR!!! THIS IS THE BEST CHANNEL FOR A TRAD BOW HUNTER TO WATCH! IT GETS ME THROUGH THE OFF SEASON. I bet it is a super fun hunt, but with enclosures like that is the way wild boar became feral in the southern USA & northern Mexico, later hybridizing with feral domestic hogs and becoming a major agricultural & ecological pest thereafter. Careful with that in Canada dudes. You do not want feral hogs the way we have them over here, trust me.
Agreed. I’ve heard of some farms that raise the boar for hunt farms, in years passed have such snow drifts the boars could just walk out and over… nothing the farmer could do except call other farmers to come shoot every single pig before they got away to cause future damage.
Would have been behind the tree, off camera, then guys would complain about that, more than me not drawing soon enough and yet still killing a hog while waiting for my perfect quartering away shot… thanks for watching Bill.
I think the best one was when Bo snuck up on that hog a little snap shooting when he had his black hoodie, but I don't know which video was first this one or that one
Where can you find your quiver. I love the look and design of these quivers. I have been trying to find your website that sells them. The gunshot archery website only sells the bow hooks and I can’t find the quiver. I don’t know if I just can’t find them on the website or if there is a different website. Thanks.
Yes, the one thing I forgot to put in the video. I did a breakdown but the audio sucked so I didn’t include it… it’s a BigStick Gremlin 47lb at 27” shooting a 400spine FMJ xx75 with a 150gr Northern Broadhead.
@@Rob_Tradbowhunter They are built basically the same, they may have a little thicker blade, and no venting. So possibly tougher, but my bow will never know the difference at 47lbs.

I've hunted in the cold here in canada...you're dedicated dude! You have any Metis in your heritage?

Why you kill mother pig? It is not clever, because next year she will give you ten new baby pigs.
