No Shahrukh bhai, he does carry a lot of Ego baggage with him. Look where he is now, how he looks and where he sings. He could have done a million times better. Same thing happened with Kailash Kher. He too indulged in alcohol and other things..... This field is not for guys who start thinking "I am a great singer."

This is a different style of singing totally opposite to the styles which we listen everyday . Master saleem has been trying to sing in his father's style of singing given to them by old generations .
so if u can not understand its better not to comment on it.
Master saleem is very versatile and hardest trained singer today we have in our music industry.
Gopy Khinda What `old generations`, Saleems father has an original style of singing, he is untrained. A few people nevertheless sought his training like hans raj hans so you can say a tradition has developed but its new, not old.

its been there for centuries its called mirasi gharana singing style.
for ur kind information saleem ji and his father belong to patiala ghrana.
PATIALA gharana is very versatile gharana.
No offense at all.
There may be some patiala training in there but there is no sign of patiala gayaki in their singing. As for the style, all mirasi groups have their own style, there is no centuries old `mirasi gharana style`. Even classical gharana styles are not centuries old. Our classical music changed (and developed) a lot in 19th and 20th centuries. No offense to you as well.
It takes away from Master Saleems father to say that this is traditional singing. The man is an original musician who created his own tradition out of some training but mostly his own effort.
