This was one of the most helpful videos I have watched regarding tips for google classroom. Thanks I do have one question though... You said many times "Do not make copies". Please clarify...are you meaning just for the repository or don't ever make copies at all? Specifically I am wondering about when you assign something and there is a document that students use to give back their responses. I always click make a copy for each student in that case. It DOES make for a cluttered drive, but it seems to work best for my kids. However, I am open to anything that makes it easier. I am afraid to depend on myu 6th graders to make a copy before they start working - I even forget sometimes. What do you suggest?
So I am just wrapping up my first semester using google classroom and I have an issue. So if I were to archive a class and then teach the same course the following semester, the only way to access old assignments is by clicking "Create New" and then "Reuse". However, when that window pops up, you can't search within it and the assignments seem to be completely jumbled. I don't like that. I have seen other people simply "copy" a class and then the entire class is exactly has you taught it and organized it but every assignment is in draft mode. This is IDEAL because then you can just post it as the year goes on. My only issue with this is, our district syncs GC with our Synergy and Synergy creates our Google Classrooms for us and has all students synced automatically. Obviously when they do this, the classroom is blank. Is there a way to use a "copied" class from last semester, for this semester but link it to Synergy so the students are synced and grades automatically push over on their own?
Once you have all ypur favorite assignments saved and ready or cleared out how do I than start a new Google classroom woth new class and add an assignment I saved in lets say awesome repository where put it like you did?
When you archive a class can you still grade assignments? The quarter is over so I don't want students to access the class, but I'm still not finished grading.
Hello...By mistake I have deleted my students assignment paper from Maths google classroom. But I can see papers are in google drive How to recover all papers in google class room. kindly help me
