I am blown away. What a feat of engineering. I actually operated such a truck, it was called a claw truck. It was used to pickup debris from the road or drains. The container was attached to the truck but it could dump with the doors open. The actuators were as follows: 1: up 2: down 3: left 4: right 5: claw swivel 6: claw jaw open or close and 7 was dump. The truck I operated had a Mercedes 6 cylinder engine and wow!, that engine could burn some rubber. I want to know how much the model costs. I am absolutely amazed! Thanks so much for sharing the video. Thats what I call German engineering at its finest!
In North America it's called a roll off bin, also the "box" always measured in yardage as well. 10yrd box, 25yrd box, etc. Such a cool machine, far from a toy. At 17k, I'd say it's more of a investment in one's midlife crisis, cheaper than a sports cars, gambling, drugs n hookers!!!
Would be sweet to finally see someone 3D print an actual engine (maybe add some coating to the cylinder walls to reduce the effect of heat at least a bit) and use it on their RC trucks
Dear Sir, There is no doubt it's an amazingly accurate reproduction of a gorgeous MAN truck. Out of sheer curiosity I went on the ScalArt website & noticed that just the crane alone costs no less than €3648.30 plus shipping. One wonders just how much the whole kit ended up costing. I've got a funny suspicion that the total price is sufficient to buy a real life second hand one. By all accounts one needs to be absolute passionate about spending this kind of money for many joyful hours playing with it. Great video & have a wonderful time playing with it at the build show. On average 20 thousand euros this model, for those who live in Europe it is very cheap but for those who live here in Brazil 20 thousand euros is 110 thousand reais 😢

One can get a starter kit from Tamiya, + radio, batteri, charger at possible about 800 USD. The Scaleart truck is in the other end of the scale. 10.000 USd and up.

Cool model sir . Years ago we used to use the grab for picking up packs of bricks on brick trucks , the roll on body`s we used to call them walk in bins or walk in skips . Many years ago i drove bin trucks ranging from single drive acco`s and fords , up to mack twin steer bogey drive , and volvo bogey drive single steer , none of them where fancy like this though , hook lifts where not common back then , we used hydraulic winch`s and cable/s to pull the bins on .

'Scaleart', as in the video title. It's scale 1:14.5, the German size, a step smaler than Tamiya, Lesu and the others which is about 1:13.5. One can search for 'jx models crane' for cranes in the Tamiya scale, and at a lower price tag naturally. Also Leimbach in Germany have cranes for Tamiya

17K Euros, you could almost buy a pretty decent, new car for that, almost, in the US at least. With some skills and patience you could actually build something very similar for a fraction, the hook lift mechanism I have seen for a couple of hundreds, including all the parts for it, the hydraulics, pump, elec. and container, the most expensive/hardest part would be the crane, I have also seen complete kits of it for like 1k+, the rest wouldn't be that expensive and hard to replicate, you could use a Tamiya cab, maybe even cut up and epoxy/plasticweld two bruder cabs you could find second-hand.
Here in the north western U.S.(Idaho) we refer to those boxes as roll-off dumpsters. Typically used for larger construction sites and such. Surely there are other uses but I suspect the uses are similar around our globe.

The machine in this video is the most expencive brand in the world. For a reasonable starter kit search for 'Tamiya 1/14', possible 500 Euro incl radio and battery. Battery last 0.5 - 1 hour.

The parts are expensive. When making a quote for a customer, for something similar, the base kit $800, $1300 arm, $500 bed, metal running upgrades $1000, metal cosmetic upgrades $2000, cab conversion $500. That's a rough estimate of parts alone. Want light and sound? $500. Want it assembled? $25/h. Pain alone for the cab runs around $30 in paint cans.

We have the real ones Built by Stellar the container is called a box one thing the lift is not as the real thing at least like ours the hook is on a separate cylinder on a A frame to tilt it for loading/unloading the box and for dumping there is a double frame that tilts up But this is a very good unit ill show this to the owner he will I bet buy one !!

@@axelschweiss5330 thanks for replying to me . I would love to buy this , But Im in America and much prefer it to be a Kenworth flatbed without the tipper body . I drive one and operate the real thing everyday . I don't think we have them here .

Because of this maybe, they focusing more on European trucks like MAN/Mercedes and Stuff. If you realy interessted, for lets say, a copie of your Reallife Truck, message them! Ask them.
