- Las Vegas isn't all gambling, flashing lights, and chaos - there are peaceful areas too! A great example of a place you can go to relax and unwind is the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat at the historic Flamingo casino. While you are exploring the stunning gardens and eye-catching waterfalls, you can also visit the Chilean flamingos, the resident pelican Bugsy, and so much more!
Join Marti from "Down the Wrabbit Hole" as she and her kiddos spend a lovely afternoon at the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat learning about pelicans, flamingos, and freshwater fish. It's a side of Vegas you don't expect to see!

I remember going to Flamingo when we were in Vegas. First time I heard about real life flamingoes when someone told me hehe and plenty of other wildlife which was cool! Lots of other cool birds.. Glad to see they're still thriving!
They have so many birds and fish species. It's a pretty neat little spot to stumble upon amid the gambling and concrete and neon lights! :)

I thought they'd always had flamingos there. Surprised to learn they only came in 1995!
Yeah, you'd think if they named it the Flamingo way back when, they'd have had flamingos then. Maybe 'flamingo' is slang for something else I'm too naive to know about??? LOL
We decided to stay in the Paris Hotel I think its called for later in August, so hope to go see this. Thanks

Didn't know that about flamingos , never been to the flamingo, have stayed at the Mirage, heard they are tearing it down? Currently 113 f there, no thanks, we have had 15 days above 100 🥵🥵
I heard that too about the Mirage. I'm sure something quite amazing will be constructed in its place though!
