I came across your channel through this video-case studies are incredibly valuable, and I'm eager to see more in the future! Building wealth involves establishing routines, like consistently setting aside funds at regular intervals for smart investments.
You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.
That sounds like a good plan. In the past two years, working closely with a financial market specialist, I've built a six-figure diversified stock portfolio. Now, I aim to diversify even more this year.
Talking about a financial market specialist, do you consider anyone worthy of recommendations? I have about 100k to test the waters now that large cap stocks are at a discount... Thanks
NICOLE ANASTASIA PLUMLEE' is the licensed fiduciary I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
I like the chart of SPY the fact It reminds me of the big picture decades . Thats why I hold it . Also Higher liquidity means if I ever need to sell a few shares in a emergency it will go through easily . SPY has more AUM becuase it was the OG ETF came out way way way before VOO .
In Switzerland, capital gains are generally not taxed unless the income from investments exceeds your income from employment. In such a case, the tax authorities may classify trading as your primary occupation, and the gains would become taxable. However an annual wealth tax of approximately 0.x% is levied on my total net wealth but it’s low.
Did you not watch the video dude? He literally went over the slight deviations. They’re mirroring the same exact companies what are invested in slightly different proportions. They are almost identical, but we were talking about billions of dollars invested. It makes a huge difference. To the average person between 2.5% and 2.7% is insignificant, but for corporations like that that amounts to literally hundreds of millions of dollars. For you and me it doesn’t really matter. They are functionally equivalent.
Like he said, in the video, SPY was started in the 90s and VOO we started in 2010. The earlier one had more of a Headstart and therefore the shares cost more.
How a girl makes investing decisions 💁♀️ “VOO…VOO…VOO!” Fun to run outside and scream when you’re bored. “SPY…SPY…SPY!” Doesn’t sound like much fun to scream.

Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
The advice I heard was hold VOO, trade options for SPY (due to liquidity).
I am a VOO guy myself, but I am sure there are others that are about the same. Love the content by the way.
VOO is my go to as well. Thanks!
What about IVV ?
VOO, Price per shares less, Better return, Lower expense ratio. If you want more Tesla and Nvidia just buy a few more shares of each

I'm on a country where capital gain are not taxed but I am taxed on dividends. Does this mean I won't pay taxes with VOO?
What country is that?

Both ETF are supposed to be mirroring the index S&P500. Why are there differences in top 10 holdings?
I think the companies are the same, but they may hold different weight in the ETF.

Thank you 😊
A share of SPY trades for $433 and a share of VOO trades for $399 why such a big gap? 🤔
Probably has to do with the lead time SPY had for over a decade to build up. ETFs are essentially portfolios of top stock picks.
Like he said, in the video, SPY was started in the 90s and VOO we started in 2010. The earlier one had more of a Headstart and therefore the shares cost more.
what's the cost per share of each one?
A simple Google search would let you know that answer
splg
Can anyone lead me in the right direction here. Would it be worthless to go half in SPY and half in VOO in my Roth IRA account? Or just pick one.
It shouldn't make a difference. They're pretty much the same
Why not get both?
I have close to 4 shares in VOO. Should I sell VOO and buy SPLG for more shares?
Take a look at SPYG
