    That's an awesome tip to know, to put in the Google bar. What i'm looking for and then put Flower Patch Farmhouse behind it.I love that I will do that from now on. ❤❤

      I hope it helps you to find things you are looking for! I need to mention that in my videos more often. I hadn't thought of it either until she had mentioned it.

      Yes, this is very much my real life and the goal of my channel is to portray the real and not the fantasy. Gardening is part of my life, it is not the center and there are so many things I love to do.

      Thank you, it does feel like progress! I measured the space in my Primrose cottage and I really do believe I am going to move this work table back into there and move a smaller one into the greenhouse. I may need to build an entirely new one if that does not work for this space but I never know until I try. Now to see if Costco will put the metal racks on sale again.

    Hi Pam. I loved this video. It's great to see behind-the-scenes. I added hooks to my garage for my gardening tools and it was a game changer. I know it sounds funny, but having a specific place for every tool made things way easier for me. Everything is looking great! Happy gardening.

      I have been meaning to add hooks in my greenhouse for a long while but then I have also wanted my hubby to move the little tool shed that is at the back of the garden (with the moon on the door) to beside my greenhouse and I was planning on using that for my tools. It just has not happened yet!

    Hello there dear flower patch lady, whow its so good to know that you also keep things to use (recycling) for other things, me also. In the house also, but definitely times to get rid of some to a space and our heads a wee bit also...I really did enjoy the rambling greenhouse tidying. It was delightful. Love the greenhouses winter bonnet,also the sound of the chickens gently talking. Definitely kept me occupied sitting on my bed this evening whilst recovering from my operation.I keep feeling so fidgeting. But mustn't keep on feet all day,there is rest and recovering exercises lying on the bed ect..great one minute and sorry for myself the next but I will get through. X.definately helpful watching these lovely videos. Do take care, well done its looking lovely xx

      Do take care...when us busy gals (and love it) have to be laid up to recoup it can be especially hard. I hope you have help. My ladies are not quite liking this extreme cold snap but they are dry and snug in their pen and hen house. Yes, it does my mind good to get things in order. I did a bit more today but the sun had already gone behind the trees and it was getting too cold.

    You are motivating me to clean my greenhouse. I hadn't done it yet, though!!! I didn't even turn back my perennials. I'm just letting the ones that die back down to the ground, like the hostas, I'm just letting them do it. normally, I would cut them back, but i'm just lazy this fall for some reason. Your greenhouse is no different than mine right now, and I get what you're saying. Sometimes, it's hard to get started because it gets overwhelming.That's where i'm at. ❤❤

    • @FlowerPatchFarmhouse
      @FlowerPatchFarmhouse  5 днів тому

      Yep, I decided to just hop in and not worry too much about finishing it and just tackle what I could. That kept it from being overwhelming and now that it is partially done, I am finding I can go in there and do a bit here and there when I need a break from my desk and it is coming along great. I can walk in and enjoy it. Plus it is making me purge things I need to just get rid of and have been procrastinating on.

    Hi, I enjoy watching your videos. Decluttering and organizing is a big interest of mine. I recommend you pick up one item at a time and make a decision about it and follow through before you put it down. I can see you feel overwhelmed and pick up an item and say what you need to do with it but then you put it down and this makes you have to touch an item many times before the task is completed.

    • @FlowerPatchFarmhouse
      @FlowerPatchFarmhouse  7 днів тому

      Thank you for that, yes, you are correct and I need to do that and make the best use of my time. Next session I will look intently first and see what boxes or bins or other items I need before hand then I can put things in them as I pick them up.

    Just came down to take a break from sorting Christmas decorations in the attic. Many of the statements you made during this video I said to myself today while trying to organize the chaos. Even baby steps are progress in the right direction.

    • @FlowerPatchFarmhouse
      @FlowerPatchFarmhouse  7 днів тому

      Yes, it keeps me from getting overwhelmed. Each day I have been removing one thing from Primrose Cottage and either getting rid of it or finding a good storage spot for it in the basement, so by the time I can spend a day in there to really declutter it won't be quite as bad as it has been and will be easier to get organized.

    Lol, what to do with all those pots is my dilemma. I had a tree frog get trapped under one because I probably moved them and he got trapped and the water sits on the rims and mosquitoes breed. We put up a leanto and shelf and still need to gather that trash heap together, but in the throws of getting that heat sink done yet. It all has to get done as those out west snows happened and end of next week it will have arrived here.
    The rest of spring bulbs came yesterday 🎉so that’s one thing to do today. Then spread those poppy seeds in the flower area in the other garden. So much to do, but once organized is a great feeling-which seems to be a shortage right now for many.
    Oh, there was a newer vid on 20 ways to get rid of mice mainly using baking soda mix. I’m on a vole hunt and mice as they had already chewed wires on rider 🤬.

    • @FlowerPatchFarmhouse
      @FlowerPatchFarmhouse  7 днів тому +1

      Ugh, mice. Hmm, I haven't heard of the baking soda fix but I do have the repels all, I need to spread more of it as I could smell a skunk around the chicken pen again. There is a spray that is super bitter that works for the wires, my dad used to use it, but I can't remember what it is called. I have the sticky traps for mice but don't like them much, they do work though.

    • @dustyflats3832
      @dustyflats3832 7 днів тому

      @@FlowerPatchFarmhouse we use the plastic Tom Cat traps for mice and rat traps for gophers. I will have to checkout something to spray on wires as some were pretty short to be able to repair again. The baking soda vid usually used a 2 part baking soda to a 1 part cornmeal, or plaster Paris and many others he mentioned. Also had bucket trap.

    Hey, I have an idea for hanging your hand tools. I noticed that you have metal shelving units. I do as well, and they make hanging hooks for those metal shelving units. They work great for hanging my gardening hand tools. Just an idea for you, that you may or may not have already thought about. 😊

    I'd find a spot to stack up the black containers then donate them to a nursery that'll take them once you have the time. All the containers at our nursery are donated

      That is so funny but I know what you mean. I watched a sewing video and the gal had the sweetest little cottage to sew in and it was so tidy she was able to find everything lickety split and it seemed like such a serene space that it has given me extra incentive to dive in and really clean Primrose Cottage. But I am determined to finish inside the greehouse first. I am almost there!
