Robbie, you made me feel like an antique, I graduated from high school in 72.😂😅 I love your channel, you are so encouraging for us everyday gardeners. Thank you.
I love how you planted up the topiary, so pretty. Will you and Janey be doing anything together in the near future? I miss seeing you two laughing and having fun.
Question in the beginning of this video what is that handle looking thing on your front porch by the flag pole holder? Just curious if it’s a cute light or what. Fun video today. I tell myself buy once and buy well now when I make big purchases.
Enjoyed this video, always love antiquing and plant shopping with you two . I see your lettuce is doing really well since you covered it with the wire covers. Thank you, hi to Brent, glad he is getting used to being filmed.
Yes, Round Top is destination antiquing, for sure. A group of us went by train out of Oakland [now out of Emeryville]. Sleeper car for the 3-day adventure. Rented a van and not only are the roadsides full of great items but there is a new show that opened each day for 9 days. Once we started buying larger items, we found a fellow who was coming back our way and he went from booth to booth to pick up our things over that 9-day haul. The main show that is known as ‘Round Top Antiques’ is by far the most expensive but they have things only found in New England and were delicious to look at!
You do know that Round Top happens twice a year in spring and fall. I used to go twice a year with friends or family. Was always so much fun. Now, I can't walk as much but still love to drive up. Royers Cafe is wonderful. There is also a musical school there you can go to, listen to concerts in the most beautiful wooden old world looking opera house with gardens attached.
Hi Robbie! It's always fun going antiquing and plant shopping with you and Brent. It's too bad you didn't find anything you loved in your price range. The wire plant stands were really cool, and so was the big hutch. It's too bad the one cupboard only had the one door. It didn't seem very practical. The flower pot turned out so pretty. It definitely needed those plants. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Robbie...I am a born and raised Texan and yes, Round Top is great! Besides the Fall and Spring shows, they have a January show, where I have found a lot of vendors have vintage garden items! I have been going to Round Top and have also sold items at the Big Red Barn....wear comfortable shoes and even bring a second pair to change into when your feet get tired and bring your water. I actually recognized at least one girl in the group photos you highlighted from the antique store! I think she became a cheerleader at the University of TX when I attended and was in the Longhorn band! Small world........
Robbie, glad you rearranged the plants. When you were planting, I kept thinking too much white in one side and too much green on the other. 😂 The final version looks wonderful.
After watching you shop at 8th and main, and seeing the english chimney topper(next to the swans outside) i had to make the trip today (saturday) to buy it. I have been searching for one for years. Anyways, i do mosaics and plan on making it into a plant holder, possibly an asparagus fern. Thanks for showing your shopping trip!
I'm 😂😂😂 I was on drill team in high school then a song leader senior year, which was 1970!!! You would roll laughing at our uniforms!!!( If I ever run across a picture us I'll mail it to you!! ) Loved those big posed drill team pics you showed!!Thanks for taking us along with you & Brent! The idea of white in the garden for winter is great!! Cali snow!! Love your videos..watch them every day❤
Last year i found a dwarf ginko tree at high hand in loomas. Its so beautiful, i love it. I also bought wire vine from plant barn a few years back, it tried to take over my yard. Very invasive. Beware
SEND ME THE RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would love it. I see Ft Bragg is really going to get it. Would love to go to Round Top too, but would need a U-Haul.
Robbie - you may think that today was a bust - hanging out with you is never a bust. One of these days you will find the perfect hutch. We can all start manifesting for that.
I wonder if you’d like the sweater weather we’re having in Yorkshire, England: snow and ice, 32°F daytime, 23°F nighttime with some areas as low as 17° ❄️🥶
I am about an hour and a half from Round Top and have loved going to the antique show over the years. Other than the traffic it is absolutely the best. You should also try Canton Texas. It is a gem as well.
Robbie, I think those oil lamps may possibly have been mounted in a carriage or even in a ship, as they move to stay level. I would love to find a pair of them. Many cool finds in that store.
I love shopping with you and Brent! I bought a ginkgo standard a few years ago and mine is a VERY slow grower! I love it but it hasn’t changed much in 3 years
Hey Robbie, Round Top had really neat stuff but very high end and expensive. You can get the same quality stuff for a fraction of the price at First Monday in Canton and it happens once a month. It is the world's largest flea market! Come visit!
While you are plant shopping we are watching the snow accumulate here. If you see something at the antique store you want, leave an offer. Especially if it has been there a while.
looove your energy! just found your channel, though we're not in the same plant zones im so inspired with your garden and garden ideas. id plant those cyclamens everywhere too if i could.
Robbie go back and get the tiki torch that’s a good price and it would look absolutely beautiful in your garden lit up. So OK I’m just now watching your show today so I got to see what else you find. But I had to tell you that plus the little reindeer, candles snuffers that was $18 that seems a little much I bought two at Hobby lobby last year. They were Christmas trees candles snuffers but they were only couple of dollars. I think it was either during the 50% off sale or after Christmas sale but anyway they’re not that expensive.
Why are antiques so expensive? These items were 5.00 30-40 years ago. I’m not really asking a question I’m being facetious lol😂it’s just crazy to me. I love antiquing and some prices are insane to me.
Robbie, you made me feel like an antique, I graduated from high school in 72.😂😅 I love your channel, you are so encouraging for us everyday gardeners. Thank you.
I graduated in 72 as well so we’re both antiques together ! 🦃🍁💚
Another one here! 🇨🇦
As always your enthusiasm is contagious 😊

Dear Robbie, love shopping with you and Brent. What could be better than shopping, gardening and coffee.❤.
I love how you planted up the topiary, so pretty. Will you and Janey be doing anything together in the near future? I miss seeing you two laughing and having fun.

Beautiful Garden Robbie!!!!! It's so Stunning/ Gorgeous/ Beautiful!!!!!!!

Round Top happens twice a year, usually around April 1 and again in October
Love your new weeping serpentine tree there❤
I started a forty foot long, 7-10 ft. tall hedge from a four inch pot of wire vine. It has structure from trellises from Cottage garden and the fence.
Robbie, glad you rearranged the plants. When you were planting, I kept thinking too much white in one side and too much green on the other. 😂 The final version looks wonderful.
Looks so pretty! I have a Mariken dwarf ginkgo and I really love it. It is in a big pot.

Robbie love you!😊
Robbie, I heard from Janey that you might be in the path of that bomb cyclone. Please, you and Brent, stay safe.

Always fun to shop with you. Those wire plant stands were so great - wish you could have bought one.

Those wire plant stands would look cool in the center if your backyard

Just watch Janie's video. She said you and Brent are supposed to get a deluge of rain. So stay safe
Where did you get your large terracotta pots?
I am about an hour and a half from Round Top and have loved going to the antique show over the years. Other than the traffic it is absolutely the best. You should also try Canton Texas. It is a gem as well.

I had great luck at Lowes last weekend! Podocarpus, tiny towers arb, sky pencil holly!
Come to Nebraska & enjoy our winter weather. We have lots of antique shops too. 😊
Hi! At the beginning of the video behind your head there’s a handle on your porch post. What’s that for?
Hey Robbie, Round Top had really neat stuff but very high end and expensive. You can get the same quality stuff for a fraction of the price at First Monday in Canton and it happens once a month. It is the world's largest flea market! Come visit!
Those Sky Pencil Holly would look great between your apple trees.
While you are plant shopping we are watching the snow accumulate here. If you see something at the antique store you want, leave an offer. Especially if it has been there a while.
❤ shopping with you
What is the brass handle looking thing on your porch?? Looks like something I need 😂
looove your energy! just found your channel, though we're not in the same plant zones im so inspired with your garden and garden ideas. id plant those cyclamens everywhere too if i could.
I live in Cypress, Texas which is not too far from Round Top.
Wow....I'm from San Antonio and know folks that graduated from MacArthur High. I'll bet they'd love that photo. Wonder how it made it to California.
You just demonstrated “boy” math, 🤣😭 love it❤️
Just did a little antique shopping on my channel too! Love the video Robbie 💚💚
What is that thing on the post near the flag bracket?
Have you been to First Monday in Canton, Texas? Round Top Texas yes!
Robbie go back and get the tiki torch that’s a good price and it would look absolutely beautiful in your garden lit up. So OK I’m just now watching your show today so I got to see what else you find. High Hand has Gingko and the Marken dwarf Gingko.
I bought a dwarf ginko from high hand. I love it.
You can have fun without spending a lot of money
Do you ever go to Estate Sales. I have found antiques.
Morning
Thanks Robbie and 🖐🏻 to the backside of Brent. 😊🦃🍁💚🙃
❤👩🌾
I forgot- never plant eire vine in the landscape! It will run amuck and never come out, ever!
Why are antiques so expensive? These items were 5.00 30-40 years ago. I’m not really asking a question I’m being facetious lol😂it’s just crazy to me. I love antiquing and some prices are insane to me.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I got a sky pencil holly and it died, no idea why we're in 9B
I’m dying…l do you think they saw my video? They sure did
Robbie, make sure you don't get a "female" -- fruit-bearing -- ginko. The fruit smells to high heaven--like stinky feet!
