It has a very high demand & inspite of having 42 official halts yet officially it is maintained to run at an average speed of 60 kmph. It operates daily & belongs to South Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railways. In this journey I share various stops crossings with trains, bridges & also the massive freight traffic after Gondia. yes all train are late from Rajnandgaon i have been going on this route from 1996 but i am seeing min 3 hrs to 8 hrs late from 2021
It's been horrible lot recently

It would've been incredible if you had covered mail exchange in RMS from GT too...but sadly you missed...

@@ADLtheMusafir At Nagpur your train 12809 was received by RMS F Dn as the RMS was backside whereas GTs RMS was front side...so mail exchange was happening face to face for two opposite moving trains...but you didn't intended to capture those mail exchanges
i was completely unaware of this procedure...i never thought they do mail exchange like that
this is something new information for me...hopefully will try to capture next time if possible
btw how can one make sure or know that RMS exchange is going to happen?

@@ADLtheMusafir I'm single person travelling on this 29th August so pls tell me more, it's my first time my seat is upper berth
few important tips i could give
get up early on Day 1 morning & complete your freshen up as quickly as possible ( because as the morning progresses lot of local general passengers would come)
once you are done with your breakfast relax and make sure not to vacate your seat unnecessarily ( if possible take a short nap)
bit of ease you might see after nagpur
if you are going beyond nagpur than order online food at nagpur (good choices available)
it wont be a problem to take a short walk at nagpur if your train reaches before time
make sure to use chain lock for safety of luggage ( never keep your valuables away from you)
after gondia you could feel bit easy in terms of rush but during evening time you might see again that too
next day morning if your train is late than also you wont be facing any such issue of ;local passenger rush because your train would be mostly at or after kharagpur & than there is no stops of it

If possible board from csmt ...that's just a recommendation

Bhai october me meri train hai arga cant kolkata weekly express from mathura to varanasi bro vo train kaisi hai is its food and pantchulauty good ??
bhai that train generally gets late after Lucknow and mostly on average reaches Varanasi with a delay of around 2hrs
food i don't know bro...but pantry car is there
i recommend getting online food at kanpur
that would have lot of option as well as timing os good for lunch
raat ka khana varanasi mien utarne k baad kha lena
and make sure to have ample of water and snacks before starting the journey itself
