You just gained a subscriber. My mate needed stairs for his porch, I already made them but they are not up to my own standards, and not compliant with our local building code. Since AutoCad is something I'm not good at, but SketchUp is something that I use occasionally because its so easy to use I thought I should look up if there is a "super easy way" to design stairs. Once I searched "design stairs in skethup in UA-cam one of the videos was named "free stair extension"
Great video mate! And also I should note to anyone who is wondering - it works on my M1 MacBook Air. if you use it wrong it does crash SkethUp, if you do first line and do not finish "building" them. After 3-5 trials I managed to get it working just as I needed. It makes them grouped by default tho so if you need to rotate or delete any part of it you need to ungroup the stairs that you created first.

Thanks, Justin, I watched this and the wall tutorial - I've been using Medeek wall, etc. These may be quicker, can you place windows and doors, and with what extension do you suggest is best? And I imagine works with sketch up textures too?

Special thanks to Justin for this video. If going of your step is 10" and you wish set it write 10 then "enter". When you click in one step but you wish to have for example 5 more similar steps, type 10S then enter. Please feel free if you have any questions. "X" key didn't work for MAS OS. I solved this problem in Version 0.0.3 and will publish it soon. If you need rail for stairs maybe "MAJ Rail" free extension can help you.

Hello Sorry for a non-video related question, but it's very important to my workflow. There was an option to hide a layer in Sketchup 19, and the layer's content was also hidden in the outliner. If you hide a tag in Sketchup 20 and 21, the content is still there, but only gray. That makes it very confusing for me. is there a option to get back the funktion from sketchup 2019?
No. That's a software change. The only way to get the 2019 functionality back is to go back to 2019

For this plugin shape of the stair is not important. esc should always work. Please let me know you OS.

unfortunately, when I click the x button, the constructed stairs disappear, I quit the operation. I will emphasize that I am working on windows.
