Have faith in Lord Buddha and enlightened beings. Not spirits. It’s very dangerous to have spirit helps and your good karmas will be wiped out. Do charities, donate foods, money and time at the temples and sanghas. It’s the best merits beside take 5 precepts/ refuge, meditate and cultivate merits (chanting, offering to the Buddhas)
I LOVE Simhamulka! I absolutely love Mahakala. This post really helped me understand how to deepen my deity worship. I believe Mahakala wants me to know this. I just started this practice but dreamt of the vajra twice now. I also had a dream where I was sent down a very steep hill to enter ‘into the pink crystal cluster of the Buddha’ I’m still trying to figure it out.
Thank you so much for this discourse. Can you give some examples of Gods as I am confused between Gods + Dieties + Enlightened beings. Tara is mentioned as a Goddess and Enlightened being also, how can we know the difference? Thank you.
How do Gods/Spirits tap on your say good karma that has not been rippen so it replace your bad karma that has allready rippen. In my country there are practice that one do this (worshiping spirits) and then the spirits gave them wealth, but in exchange something bad like it requires to sacrifice ones loved and such. My Late Tsem Rinpoche said looks something like that
Any unenlightened being cannot grant salvation nor guarantee to one's life or wishes as they too - are just like human beings , even if they are in their heavenly abodes , they too will fall or make others fall. This changes from perspectives to perspectives as Buddha Dharma is different from say the modern day view of Dharma or Tao or Teachings and Philosophies of religions. If you make a wish to a particular unenlightened deity or entity or being - they will grant you your wish as long as you appeased them but in return , they will want something back. Its akin to granting you your wishes but the payback is much higher which is common in many places around the world. The excellence of Buddha Dharma is that an Enlightened Deity or Being will not take your merits away but instead gives you your merits based on your faith and practice or giving to them and granting your wishes accordingly to allow you to pacify or assist in your problems and issues so that you may or can practice Buddha Dharma in the current future.
