Aloha e Pākīpika 🌊❤️🌏
I am Tongan. But I am of Samoan, Fijian, and of Hawaiian decent. No one can tell me otherwise because I know my ancestry and my history enough to self claim that I am.
I have always been the one to admire and respect the all cultures that I want to save a portion of my body to imprint those markings on it about my journey and family. Thank you so much for sharing some of the meanings?
Omg I'm shocked, the malu symbol looks almost identical to the frog symbol we have in amazigh traditional tattooing. Crazy thing is it's also a symbol of femininity and fertility!
❤Can't wait to get mines
Proud to be Samoan 💯
So beautiful with deep meaning😍
Awesome stuff. Tatau was introduced to Samoa by the Fijians.. It was the women who did the tattooing until the missionaries came in and sort of discouraged this in the islands.
Sole soia fai ga tala pepelo. Never come from Fiji its come from Fiti Uta in Manua.
@@taoipupauli5322I reckon! So crack up with the pepelos!!!😂😂😂😂
LOLLL... When a Non-Samoan tries to tell Samoans where our Traditions originates from it's just crazy BONKERS🙄... Dude DO NOT MAKE Comments on Subjects you know Absolutely NOTHING ABOUT. Our Tatau Originates from Fitiuta, Manu'a (Am. Samoa.) MANY Samoans who don't know any better confused the story to mean Fiji. SORRY bruh.. But JUST STOP Ok? For REAL👍
Can any Samoan here tell us than how you got the word tatau than, you'll be surprised to know that tatau is impeded in the Fijian language. You guys gonna be shocked to know the meaning of tatau in Fijian, it's even held in our traditional ceremonies by chief's to pass down the importance of your role, tradition, and religion in our tribes and clan.
Tatau is not even a Samoan word its borrowed from the Fijian language and we do have the proper definition of this word.
All Samoans must understand the importance of this island nation as created by the Creator to be the healing alchemy to the world in all of its styles, culture and tradition. HS speaks.
The motion graphics are beautiful!! Who made them?
Can anyone suggest a similar video for the tataus for the men?
♥️
🙏🙏🙏
Hi my grandmother was Samoan. I'm interested in getting a Tatau, are there any reference material available with regards to patterns and their meanings? thank you.
U don’t just get a tatau 🙄🤦♀️ this is a sacred Samoan tattoo that is given to men who hold chiefly titles.
Every meaning represents spirit evil spirit .The blood that is about to spill is for those evil spirit or demon to drink to gain power and strength. The ancestral spirit will enter into to you and separate you from the true God. This is why Jesus came and die on the cross. He is the Mark and only by His blood will save you. This knowledge came with the watchers or the fallen angels before the watchers. This is why there's sacrifices for human blood to the gods but they are truly demons. Tattooist are witchcraft she is also a witch but she doesn't know yet. Their are demons tattoos. Our people hold the practice by using human bones smash or mix with the ink that is from the coconut 🥥 shells or tea lead that burn. And for the comp the tattoo needle is was also made out of human bones. So even though it change the practice is still demons. Ask Suluape her mentor and he will tell you that tattoo came from demons. Egyptian hold this practice for their gods underworld. The word tattoo or tatau means to mark me. Question is mark me for what why? Something else. This is spiritual practice and is also known as the art of Satan. I can go on but Jesus chose you only for a purpose that he already mark His body for you. He loves you your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Now you see why we need Holy Spirit because of those spirit.
@SG-je6dg Yes, but he is of Samoan decent. However, he would need to go home or to someone with experience to explain and teach that part to him. It's so much more than just getting it and I'm sure he'll understand
❤❤❤❤
Pretty ta'ahine nice explanation 👌 they found the Oldest tatau instrument in the fortress village of Pea in Tongatapu 2700 years old made of human bones 700BC too deep to reach 700 years older than Roman Colosium 🙏
Your Pe'a tatau is named after that village sole
Our Samoan Tatau has SEVERAL records and historical accounts of it going back as far as 3,000 yrs.👍 So, the claim (going around) of one random, "alleged," tattoo kit (of unknown origin) being recently discovered?? Don't hold much stock if we're being honest. It's been said, "If it's too good to be true?" It's probably not.
I challenge you Samoans to come to Fiji and learn about the word tatau. The importance the i tatau traditional ceremony holds to our people and its meaning. Tatau is a Fijian word not a Samoan word.
