@DiaKorrus 18 you are canonically wrong. it is stated in the text and by ichikawa multiple times. she had to stress to translators of every language to use as neutral pronouns and possible. stop being an asshole
@@mutsu2161 I'm going to back up what you said with a little evidence. Within one of the English books (I own all 10 of them by the way, and a Japanese copy of the 11th book), Aechmea asked Cairngorm why they were in love with him, and addressed Cairngorm as an "Asexual being". I'm assuming that this term wasn't being used to address the identity (although gems ARE TECHNICALLY Asexual, since they are sexless), but more of the fact that the gems do not have any genitalia. As a native Japanese speaker myself, I can tell you, @UCN6Phbs1IesvThXs15JD76A, the reason behind why the Gems use male pronouns within the Japanese manga, and it's not because they were male and then they evolved into females. Unlike English, Japanese does NOT have any gender-neutral terms, such as "they", "them", "hir", "ze", etc. They only have terms that fit into either the male or female binary. Now, since Ms. Ichikawa seriously wanted these characters to be Genderless, she needed a way to work around that. So, she decided to give the gems a feminine appearance, but address them with masculine pronouns, as an attempt to use the Japanese language in a "Genderless" way. Because if she gave the gems feminine appearances and used feminine pronouns, I'm thinking that she'd just come to the sad fate that people would assume that they are female at first glance. The same thing would probable happen if she gave the gems a more masculine appearance and used masculine pronouns. Also the fact that Ms. Ichikawa stressed to all of the translators to give the gems the most gender neutral pronouns as possible AND the fact that the English sub of the anime uses They/Them pronouns to address the gems should be evidence enough. Also, as you can probably see, gems. Do not have. Children. Unlike the Lunarians and Admirabilis, they aren't a plentiful population. There are only 28 of them. **28.** This goes to show that they cannot reproduce, and probably don't have a reason to do it either, which is another reason why gems are Sexless+Genderless. If you've seen the anime, or even the manga, when Euclase takes off their clothing, they have a flat chest. Honestly, you can see this with any gem. They don't have breasts. They all have flat chests. They don't have the reproductive organs that we humans do, and, well, why would they? But yeah, enough of me ranting. Gems are Sexless and Genderless beings. Anything else is absolutely, and canonically wrong.
@@ra1nb0wph0en1xarts thank u sm 😭!!! the lengths ppl will go to to gender very clearly genderless beings is ridiculous. especially when it’s stressed in and out of the source material so much

For example, you would only know about the 2D trailer if you were in the fandom enough to hear about it, and the ones at the bottom you would only know if you browsed the reddit every day and look through many other forums.
You didn't explain the 7 treasures thing that well, I have to assume you did not understand how that related to the Manga. I'm not an expert on the subject myself but when they say 7 treasures they are talking about the different material that Phos is made of by the end of the series.
@@SaborCereza furthermore they add something to the story, it advances for it with the acquisition of the legs, just as phos can strong arm her problems with her new arms and manipulate and think better with that new head of hers. The first eye is for others to observe (not a decent analysis i know, barely finished the manga). Now, remember that tirade of diamond about the heart and boort and how the cinnabar is hinted at being the equivalent of which for fosofofiraito? well, i believe it is the 'heart' part treasure.when they 'soup'. Then there's the last Faustian deal, 10.000 years alone, with large philosophical implications to conclude. That comic... seriously when it can't get worse it does, it's psychologically frustrating. It was a good watch, and a good read.
I think the 28th gem is Heliodor, since at the start of the story, Heliodor was the recent gem that got taken to the moon. That's why only 27 of the gems were introduced but not the 28th. Just a theory.
Debunking some of the theories: Lapis took over Phos: Nope. We have already been shown what happens when gems lose their bits and pieces or have foreign substances attached to them. Both of the original Lapis and Phos can easily be called "dead" cause Lapis Phos was basically an amalgamation of their remaining consciousness and none of the original gems themselves. So the original Phos whom we knew died while Lapis died as well. Another example of this, is the "Ghost Quartz" who was tormenting Cairngorm wasn't even Ghost Quartz, the original Ghost died trying to protect Phos. Obsidian being Aechmea's agent: We were only shown the island and some parts of the sea in Houseki no kuni earth. Not to mention the gems only wash up on that cliff, so there is definitely a chance that there is some volcanic activity happening far away from which Obsidian was born, I can't say anything about where the weapons come from but they definitely aren't bad weapons like Dia's sword withstood several blows of javelins being hurled by the Lunarians.
I'm sure Aechmea mentioned this in chapter 67, but said that it doesn't effect Cairngorm. Somehow the Hair of the gems is like human hair not A real piece of the body or something like that.
@@dibzybd9741 It’s made of the same material so it can be used for replacement, but contains little to no inclusions so it’s not a big deal if it’s lost
