Xinlin, I just can't forget the episode where she was in the brink of death.. Her dad was too strong to be true.. "Even if she will fail to breathe after the ventilator is taken out, we have to stop her suffering and not take the ventilator back." I was just in the verge of tears knowing that he and his family will leave sadness to the last and be happy on what they have now. The last episode was when her little sister wanted Xinlin to play with her and had to cry knowing her sister is in the brink of death, lying down before her, fighting for life. "I want mei mei!" And cries.. Xinlin and her family had brought me in the verge of tears..
May lord bless this family, and all others in the brink of death.
The "verge" of tears?!! Damn... Call me a drama queen but I'm drowning in tears....Actually...call 911...
I watched that 2 it was so sad

She died...she was readmitted and the died..😒
I’m very happy she made it, I wasnt sure if she did.
Aulia when getting her dressings changed: *screaming, crying, scared*
Aulia when it’s done: Thank you ☺️
i agree.
A true warrior
The way she sat there nodding along and trying to understand what they were explaining made me giggle. She’s so precious
A real fighter.
shes so cute i dont want her to be sick :((
Rest In Peace Mei Mei. She sadly passed away in 2018. I hope she is comfortable, and happy.
😔 💔
Thank you for the update. One of my favorite things that I am reminded of is that in my religion we believe that young children who dye are welcomed into the arms of Our Father in heaven and that she is no longer in pain and is happy and looking forward to the day when her parents and her sister will finally see her again in the next life.
RIP Mei Mei
She died in 2015
She's watching over us from heaven now...
Oh my god Mei Mei made it!!!! I was sitting here crying, oh sweet baby, thamk god
Kayla Hurley me too!! I was sobbing and praying for her and her family! When I saw this I was so happy!
SHE DID? YEEEEES
Got I was crying and shit. I know it’s probably inevitable but hopefully she can have some wonderful happy times first!
she was readmitted.
Mei mei is younger sister. Her name is Xinlin I think
MARCUS I WILL SEND YOU ALL OF THE JUICE AFTER YOU GO HOME AND GET BETTER
*juice*
Apple juice contains pectin which is loaded with calcium, magnesium, potassium. Give him the juice!
@@d6sir that's why you don't give apple juice to him. Potassium can disrupt the electrical conduct of his heart and he was barely stable

Br🅾ther, may I please have some
*JUICE*
For those who are confused, the little girl with spinal muscular atrophys name is Xin Lin. Mei Mei generally means younger sister, which is why Jie Jie (Big sister) calls her that.
Oh thank u for the explanation
That makes sense,I know that there framing is different like we say brother in law they would say my sisters husband. I have a neighbor who has 2 dogs one is a puppy and her name is Mei Mei.

It's just makes me sad to see that these children are going through such pain. Thumbs up to the Doctors and Nurses for being so kind and gentle to these children.
These are some of the strongest people you will ever meet. I was raised in a children's hospital due to being born with a bad liver. When I got my liver transplant 3 days before my 9th birthday, they had me in ICU At Le-Bonheur Children's hospital. My mom said she saw a lot of kids come through there, some were sick and others had been beaten to death. The hero's are the doctors and nurses, who tend to this children.
"water?" "JUICE"
me at the hospital tho
Elizabeth Martinez Marcus is literally my whole mood in the hospital I relate too much.
SelenaCatGacha! Also vlogs Forreal I was always moody and I understand how he felt when he wanted more juice
Too spoiled! Too spoiled!
@@timothylakaseru302 exactly. He is perfectly fine because he's being a brat. Near death or not kids need to be good.
Id say dude you'll get your dang juice if you behave. Yeah you nearly died but no excuse for having an attitude and ungrateful and a pain in the neck for everyone involved in saving your life. You should be grateful for not dying.
the cranky kids are a good sign! enough energy for a tantrum is awesome ❤❤❤ Cant wait for Marcus to get all of his juice❤ sweet boy.
Cranky and/or hungry are two of the best things to see in children when something like that happens.
One insight on the juice arguments- the meds will have left him with a very dry mouth. And having recently been extubated (and still having a NG tube) will mean his throat is sore and raspy. Juice is infinitely better for relieving that feeling than water, but the relief doesn’t last long. It also likely feels better in his upset stomach than plain water. I totally understand where he’s coming from on that one.
They're worried he's going to aspirate the juice which will give him pneumonia, so I see why the hospital didn't want to give him juice
He also needs the nutrition that juice cant give....
He almost died so he should be grateful and happy and willing to get better. Quit being a bleeping brat and do what your told!
@@haleypierce82793 he's just a kid
Haley Pierce he was just a kid tho...why are u being so rude?
Loved when little Aulia told her mother “you give me trouble”. Such a strong little girl considering everything she’s going through xox
I think she meant the nurse not her mum
That was so cute and funny 😂😂
Marcus: *gets the opportunity to eat after 2 weeks*
Also Marcus: I WANT JUIIIICEEEEEE
aulia i can tell is going to be very mature. 3 Years old and is already so matured
Obama Trump young children like her who spend lots of time in the hospital mature very quickly because they are always surrounded by adults (doctors and nurses). I’ve seen it time and time again as a pediatric oncology nurse myself.
My heart goes out to you all! My son was born with heart problems and could not breath through nose. Now is 47 years old. We care for him at home. He is in wheelchair and does not talk. My husband and I are blessed to have him. He is gift from God!
Sending more love to your family. Stay strong and stay happy. I wish you and your family best in life ❤️

I admire Xinlin parents so much...my perspectives about life changed completely after watching her journey, as someone said, I will never complain about anything ever again and thank for my health always
This is an old comment but I'm juat gonna say this. Just because somebody else in the world is having an awful time, doesn't mean you're not allowed to show emotion and be upset or be not happy. It's not a competition of who has it worse.
Omygoodness marcus i love this child “i can’t drink, because the straw is too close to the cup”

Xinlin’s story is such a roller coaster of emotions. Her parents are seriously some of strongest people imaginable. To the hard decisions that had to make about the ventilator, to finally bringing her home and making sure she’s taken care of 24/7. Gotta give props to them and the amazing drs that did everything to help her come home for a little while before her passing.

Yeah and the long term effects of childhood hospitalisation is pretty sad
This makes my heart smile. As a registered nurse this is why we do what we do.

Rest In Peace baby girl 💔
I just gave birth exactly one week ago. My first baby in my 35 years of life. Watching this while staring at my newborn daughter really makes me think in 2 things basically....the incredible strength all these babies/kids show to confront their illness, how they are capable to remain calm, endure the physical pain etc. After my c-section I was in tears for the pain i was feeling and even after a week i sometimes break down in tears cuz i still can't fully perform physically speaking.....i feel embarassed cuz these little angels fight their best and I am the one acting like a cry baby. 🤕🥺The second thing, how parents cope with their kids illnesses....I was in complete tears just watching this and putting myself in their shoes, I could not deal with the simple thought, let alone THE POSSIBLE FACT, of losing my baby, i just couldnt, I'll be out of my mind.....respect to all of them and also cheers to all those doctros doing such a great job comforting these babies in the best way they can, it's an amazing job!!!
Agree w u i felt the same way as u had a bb at 35 w emergency c section an going through post partum depression sucked 4 me while my wound opened up a week later after was even worse i would cry all the time but yes watching this makes me feel like i was a punk....they r strong and til this day i don't understand y these lil angels have to go through this ....
I couldnt stop holding myself when mei mei made it to fight oh almighty u really took care of her i m so happy, its so disheartening for parents to lose hope, i pray being mother of a daughter that u recover soon my angel god bless
Sadly she passed away in 2015 and btw her name is xin ling not mei mei. Mei mei means little sister

Watching the lives of these children makes you realize how much we take ordinary joy or happiness for granted. Bless their parents and medical staff too.
It warms my heart and soul that these kids overcame extremely low odds of survival. May these kids have a great life and a speedy recovery! :D
I've never been this relieved to see kids being cranky, to watched them so lifeless on the bed was so heartbreaking...i would prefer them crying if they got hurt or uncomfortable
Gosh, Xinlin's family is just amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Poor girl, poor parents and sister for having to endure this illness and that much heartbreak. 💔💔💔
I'm in physical therapy school, and I will start my first clinical round this summer. I signed up for a pediatric round. I'm glad that my role will usually be played when they're strong enough to start getting ready to go home:). Props to the doctors and nurses that are there every step of the way

Then another dr said “this is the fate of oncology(cancer) patient, one day you solve this then next time another complication arise”

Hats off to the nurses and the doctors were so encouraging for the parents and the childrens...hats off to the parents too..
“He is not really motivated to move that much because he’s feeling weak” Oh god I know exactly how that feels like. When I was 9 I had to get surgery and the Child Life Specialist would try to get me up and walking around so I could recover better and they actually had a therapy dog help me. I remember we went a few doors down the hall and turned back. Normally I was very active in the hospital, I’d walk myself to the play room, in fact I had memorized where it was haha. But I think that time may have been after surgery or something and my body was just tired, especially cus I wasn’t used to walking around much while recovering. For those who are curious I had a bowel-resection due to some internal bleeding. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease at 2 years old. Ever since surgery and switching medication (cus clearly the one I was on before wasn’t working lol) I’ve been in remission. There’s no cure, only treatment, but I don’t really care about a cure as long as my symptoms are managed. And for 10+ years I’ve had no Crohn’s related pain. Knock on wood the medication keeps working.
i wish i can hug all the nurses and the doctor :(
