MonicaStyle Muse I didn’t get notified because the bell icon keeps giving me an error message.....BUT, your face is kinda Fenty flawless and this is a great purse friendly alternative, but I agree, it looks so matte that I’d worry that it may crease after a while in your smile lines etc.

SOOOO: I tried this foundation out as well and reviewed this as well. After wearing it out and trying it a few times I feel like a hydrating primer is best with this. I have combination/oily skin so it was definitely a process. To get this foundation to work best I use a water based moisturizer, hydrating primer, light powder to "set" and powder products on top for contour, etc.. THIS IS THE FOUNDATION FOR A HOT DAY OR IN THE CLUB!!! after sweating in the club my face looked INCREDIBLE and almost better than before. You look so stunning sis, werqqq

Thank u I tryed this a few days ago and I wasn’t impressed I’ll try a hydrating primer I used the nyx hd primer and this foundation and wasn’t impressed

Sienna was your perfect shade. It's also waterproof and that's why it's so matte. It's not meant to move...period lol It definitely needs a more hydrating primer and moisturizer!
I think Sienna is the perfect match for you. Or maybe mix sienna and cappuccino. And maybe use a hydrating primer... idk

@@monicastylemuse yes definitely try Sienna alone or maybe mix like she suggested but I think you could also like Deep Sable. Imo it's like the slightly darker sister of Cappuccino.

WOC! Isn't this such a wonderful problem to have. So many color options to choose from. That's how it should be. I went back and forth between 4 shades that all could work. I went with Sienna though because I am Neutral with golden undertones. And I love it. I am an oily girl and this worked for me through and entire work day with minimal blotting. Which NEVER happens. NYX and Alissa did that. And you have to balance the skin use some hydrating products. I use Hourglass Mineral Veil for the primer.
I bought mine yesterday and I love ittttttttt I’m a shiny girl and honey it gives you a great look after you wear it for awhile and I definitely use powders with it

I tried this today and... girl this was bomb af. I wore it for 8 hours and with just like a few touch ups even though it wasn’t needed. When they say matte, it’s matte. I used it with the urban decay all nighter setting spray and my makeup stayed

I could definitely tell when the foundation dries on your skin, but you looked absolutely beautiful. This is definitely a matty matte foundation. I’m not mad at it though. It was a gorgeous look even without a fully beat down face with lashes, shadow and liner.
I think this foundation looks great on you and the shade matches your skin tone beautifully! With this foundation I put on a hydrating primer and moisturize my face really good so my face isn’t too matte ❤️

Use a very hydrating moisturizer and a hydrating primer and you should be right as rain.

You can mix it with an oil you know is not gonna break you out or use a dewy setting spray at the end.

Love this! I think the middle shade you swatched was your true shade though.
If you have the Milani Prep + Soothe Face Oil, put a couple of drops of it with the foundation. Not to much....it will give it a bit of luminosity.

Sienna would be a better color match! I noticed when I used mocha which would be a typical color shade for me it made me look a bit ashy and then when I went with deep rich it settled a lot better and was still a good match. I also used a more hydrating primer and still got a flawless finish with lasting results

Girl. I'm sooooo oily u don't even know how much I was waiting for a drugstore foundation to be this matte!!! I'm so oily that if I want this foundation to last 8 hrs I HAVE to bake with my Coty Airspun for at least 10 min. I 😍 love it!!!

Stunning. Cappuccino is great on you! I kind of think you could have rocked Sienna also. When I was in the NYX store what I call "rough swatching" on my chest and hand and also my face they looked very different than when I blended them out into my skin. Which is why I think Sienna could probably work for you also. I am sort of in-between shades right now. 16.7 Warm Mahogany is starting to look a little dark now that my tan from the Bahamas is beginning to fade but I'm not quite back to my normal color to wear 16 Mahogany just yet.

Love the color honestly, I wouldn’t say ashy I would say it does look dry as in you didn’t apply moisturizer and your oils haven’t seeped out, but with the full look it came out amazing. Love you soooooo much. ❤️❤️❤️

It looks AMAZING on camera! I think it's throwing you off because naturally, skin is never THIS matte. So it almost looks unreal. It's def a great foundation to use for UA-cam videos though. You look like a muñeca ❤️

Your natural skin looks phenomenal! And that hair is looking bomb! But I am an oily girl through and through, so this foundation would be PERFECT for me. Alissa did say that if you have dry skin, use a face oil or a hydrating primer before using it. So maybe apply it again, but this time use a hydrating primer on your dry areas and a matte primer on your oily areas. Or leave your oily areas alone since it’s SUPER matte.

Looks bomb on camera. I think you need a very hydrating primer and a finishing spray. It made you look dry but I think bronzing helped for the price it’s great

Pretty flawless it covered all your blemishes but I'm not sure which shade sienna looked nice as well. The finishing look looked very different from your chest colour but you looked really good. I heard it oxidizes alot but it seems like a good foundation.

It looks beautiful on you... i did see that because it is so matte that you need to use more of a hydrating primer on where you dont get oily and a matte on where u get oily. That way it will be matte but not matte matte. I hope that makes sense. But its look bomb girl and that hair giiiiiiiirrrrlllll.. love it

love the video babes ❤️❤️ for me when i first pick my shade out it was kind of difficult but they best way to know for sure is blending it out and taking it out in natural sunlight
The complete face looks beautiful, Monica: Cappuccino was a pretty try-on shade to start, but I'd love to see a full face with Sienna on you because it seemed to work better with your chest/arms based on the in-studio lighting. As a future video suggestion, I'd love to see a video on how you make matte foundations (like this one) work for you during the colder weather months. In that video, it could be helpful to see how super-matte foundations work with various hydrating primers, mixed with a small amount of lightweight oils or without setting. Thanks for posting this!
I love this foundation. It’s buildable full coverage, and because I live in the heat and humidity of New Orleans and this and EL double wear are the only foundations that stick and keep the job done. Shine free and comfortable.

I think it works, it’s just so matte it gives a ghostly look. But I’ve noticed after a couple of hours it goes away. I mixed sienna with cappuccino because I thought cappuccino was a tad too light. I tried sienna alone and it’s too neutral and olive. The 2 mixed was perfect for me so give it a try.
I got this foundation a few weeks ago and i have pretty neutral skin, not dry or oily. so basically I didn't add anything to it (moisturizer/primer) and i used a cream contour and it works beautifully. I used the graft o' brian pallet in warm #3 WHICH YOU SHOULD GET IF IT SUITS UR SKIN TONE, its bomb, I think the Fenty contour stick is a little hard to blend in general so like with a matte foundation its no Bueno
I have very oily and never use moisturizing primer but this you have too.. I tried a moisturizing primer instead of matte and it was more bearable and it last all night...

The foundation worked perfectly for me. I did use a beauty oil underneath though. I think that’s the best way to wear this. Kinda like the BB foundation/baking oil combo.
