I just wanted to say that, as someone that was doing something without knowing why and making the drastic decision to end it in order to discover that why, I very much related to everything that you said. Honestly, it was really comforting knowing that someone that I admire has the same issues so thank you. Also, something that I would have liked to hear from others when I told them of my intentions to drop out would have been, it's perfectly fine that you might not know what you want to do or that you're not moving mountains immediately with what you do want to do. Take your time and slowly discover your why's before you begin to think about your how's. So I'm saying that to you John, I know that not only myself but many others will gladly wait to welcome you back with open arms throughout your journey of figuring things out, so just breathe. You're young, full of potential, and always manage to make me smile even when I'm feeling the actual worst. Okay so things I personally would love to see you do is more Minecraft word vomit rant videos. Maybe some horror games?(idk I love horror and feel like it’d be fun to watch you play some). Make stickers and patches of your art for us to purchase(: and keep being you! Absolutely love you hahaha
honestly ive been loving your solo content with the commentary. your recent videos have been great for me personally but at the same time i cant talk for others or with the analytics of it. youre doing great john.
Hi John, I know for myself that I love these types of videos where it doesn't feel like "content", it's just a guy playing a game. I also liked the horror games way back when. That being said, I'm glad you've made the changes you have. The last thing any of us want is for you to do something you don't love, or else burn yourself out. At the end of the day, we will be here no matter what.
Hey John, my go-to for recommending single player games is always Outer Wilds, but I think it'd be in huge contrast to your other content and might be better for streaming. Other than that I think Terraria might be a good pick, as it is similar to Minecraft with more focus on combat and underground exploration Edit: Also bring back Raft Also Don't Starve and Oxygen Not Included, I lied, I have lots of stuff to recommend

As someone going through a similar situation, it really comforts me hearing you talk about your similar struggles. I make music (not on this account, this is my "personal" account ig) and I've been making music for over a year, and still only have 25 soundcloud followers. I don't do it for the numbers, like I'm not trying to be a mainstream super star, I just do it because I love it. Music literally saved my life, it's the only thing that kept me from killing myself. But still it's discouraging not getting any traction doing the thing that I love the most. I think there's a fine line between pleasing yourself, and pleasing the masses, and sometimes sacrifices just have to be made. I wish I had more advice to give, but I'm just some kid still trying to figure things out. I guess I just wanted to rant here, and reassure you that even if nothing else, you're really helping people out. Watching your videos makes me laugh, but also really comforts me, and I know I'm not the only one. I got faith in you tho, I'm sure things will work out and we'll all end up finding our way eventually :)
Even though it's not really like any other games you play on your channels, i'd reccomend a video about Rimworld, it's chaotic storytelling nature and the general open-endedness of how you can decide how to play the game would make it a great game to play and just talk over, and being able to pause or speed up the game to match the pace you want for whatever you're doing ingame. But idk if the change from the usual action/humor packed games to the relaxed colony builder that rimworld is would go well, so if it doesnt just know most of us enjoy the content you already make :)
With the sequel coming early next year, I think it would be dope to see you play the forest. I know you've played it before with smii7y, but I would lobe to see the full Kryoz experience

You’re doing good fam I understand how you feel about the paintings and stuff. On UA-cam people want to see live streams, updated games/new games being played and group videos. Your best content in my opinion is when you’re with someone because you both feed off of each other’s energy and create great funny content. Your solo plays are great too because your just speak out your thoughts and is honest but I find that you’re best when you’re with a buddy because you’re always saying stupid things and such and it makes me laugh. I’m a listener, when I go on UA-cam I usually just listen to videos vs watching them cause it helps me do my job better, so I’d say get with a buddy and to continue to interact with the games you play solo on. Now your paintings, if you were doing commission that could be why you’re so drained cause I personally find commission work cool but when you get a lot of it it becomes boring and you don’t get to do what you want to do. So I’d close your commissions, work on getting better and then sell that stuff THEN open your commissions but make spots and sell those spots. Hope this was helpful
As someone who doesn't watch a ton of your videos lately I would like to see more single player games with progress and commentary on the game itself. Games like horizon Zero dawn where the game is so intense and layered juxtaposed with your hilarious commentary would be a BANGER.

just an idea for a fun spin on minecraft content, livestream the cscoop challenge and edit a video of it afterwards! that challenge was super entertaining when it came out and i feel like seeing that with your commentary would be absolutely legendary

Hey man, you don’t always need a higher purpose to do things. Doing things cause they make you happy is more than enough (and arguably the highest purpose of them all). If youtube and paintings make you happy keep on making them, they also make a lot of other people happy, and if they stop making you happy you’re wholly within your right to stop. Regarding how to make content it’s probably best that you just try doing stuff instead of wondering what the best way of making content is. My humble opinion tho. Great video too, man, loved it.

Id love to see hollow knight i feel like you might like it..? its more metroidvania though...new vegas is fun but idk if youd enjoy that, if you do and you have fun with it that'd be neat even as a stream. tbh if you cheat i dont care, i use xray when solo and i just wanna complete a project, or i dig a quarry for resources and manage the time i use resource gathering for a planned build or potential future ones. with the quarry i may have partly used timed explosives but i made a farm to do that (and spawned a few extra just to finish a show i was watching)
If you are looking for a chill game to play that’s single player you could always do something like Skyrim or oblivion. If you want something more along the lines of a crafting/survival game I would recommend terraria. In the end if making us happy makes you happy then we’re happy ya know.
I replayed Fallout 4 for the third time recently, ik its not a quick game but Fallout is super fun. Choose your own adventure which is good for this Minecraft style non-linear energy

When it comes to trying out new things but not being sure if you should try it out, its best to just do an general overlook into whether or not it's a good idea, but then just go for it wince you won't truly know if it's the right decision until you make it. You can only get so far in the realm of maybe when it comes to making the right decision, you have to actually make it in order to know for sure
Im late but i suggest you play turmoil! I find it as a really relaxing game with a trailing stress behind it lol but i think it’ll go well with how you commentate and i think you’ll love it :)

it sounds like you might benefit from a therapist (well, everyone can) but they can help you with your burnout and breaks and strategizing how to prioritize and organize your life. also, you should (if you havent already) ask your youtube buddies for help on being a creator. it seems like youre good friends with them so you should reach out for help. if you need a break please just take one. your mental health is the most important thing in your life. listen to us, and take the break if needed. i didnt know you were feeling this way so its good to hear about it. lastly, for games i think you should try like sims and cities skylines and maybe farming sim. all popular games, but imo theyre always fun to watch. have a good day kryoz, ok?
this is a “tips from someone who has been playing minecraft too much because of hyperfixation” comment here: with the new world depth in 1.18 the ideal level to strip mine for diamonds is at for diamonds is -58 and the least chance of missing diamonds while doing this is to create each strip mine 3 blocks apart (can assure you this is true based on multiple hours of strip mining mindlessly), you can feed villagers carrots, potatoes, beetroots or bread (12 of the plantable ones or 3 bread) to breed them (but make sure that you have more beds than villagers otherwise it won’t work, also, farmer villagers who have access to crops are helpful for breeding without you having to give them the stuff), and it’s a good idea to get a librarian villager with a decently priced trade for a mending book so you don’t have to consistently create new tools and armour (plus, if you get one that trades for bookshelves you won’t have to deal with the painful process of getting sugarcane and leather to make them yourself for a fully powered enchanting table), you can heal zombie villagers with a weakness potion and a golden apple which makes trades much cheaper, so it’s worth doing that if you come across a zombie villager, making farms are really helpful (as in, mob farms, automatic sugarcane, pumpkin, watermelon, etc. farms) but if that’s not the way you’d want to play then that’s okay, of course uuuh also with minecraft, researching is perfectly okay, and even if it may feel like it is, it is *not* cheating at all. even people who play minecraft for a living have to search for information related to the game sometimes, and i watch a *lot* of minecraft youtubers

How about cheap indie games you can try out every week. It's something new, something easy since you're just looking for new games, maybe in Steam. And talk through things on there or you could rate those games. You can also post videos on your sewing projects I'd love to see those.
I mean, I enjoy you doing whatever but I'd also like to see you play games you used to play often like csgo but I imagine playing that wouldn't be enjoyable for you.
I love your comedy, but I also enjoy watching you play more competitive games like csgo, r6, cod, fortnite, and maybe a new one for you like overwatch would be cool. Really any game you’re comfortable with that’s more focused on winning than exploring or laughing would be a good way to mix things up now and then.

Dark souls coming back would be cool. I don't know if you like/enjoy turn based strategy games but Inscription is really good imo.

with the new world depth in 1.18 the ideal level to strip mine for diamonds is at for diamonds is -58 and the least chance of missing diamonds while doing this is to create each strip mine 3 blocks apart (can assure you this is true based on multiple hours of strip mining mindlessly), you can feed villagers carrots, potatoes, beetroots or bread (12 of the plantable ones or 3 bread) to breed them (but make sure that you have more beds than villagers otherwise it won’t work, also, farmer villagers who have access to crops are helpful for breeding without you having to give them the stuff), and it’s a good idea to get a librarian villager with a decently priced trade for a mending book so you don’t have to consistently create new tools and armour (plus, if you get one that trades for bookshelves you won’t have to deal with the painful process of getting sugarcane and leather to make them yourself for a fully powered enchanting table), you can heal zombie villagers with a weakness potion and a golden apple which makes trades much cheaper, so it’s worth doing that if you come across a zombie villager, making farms are really helpful (as in, mob farms, automatic sugarcane, pumpkin, watermelon, etc. farms) but if that’s not the way you’d want to play then that’s okay, of course
uuuh also with minecraft, researching is perfectly okay, and even if it may feel like it is, it is *not* cheating at all. even people who play minecraft for a living have to search for information related to the game sometimes, and i watch a *lot* of minecraft youtubers

How about cheap indie games you can try out every week. It's something new, something easy since you're just looking for new games, maybe in Steam. And talk through things on there or you could rate those games. You can also post videos on your sewing projects I'd love to see those.
I mean, I enjoy you doing whatever but I'd also like to see you play games you used to play often like csgo but I imagine playing that wouldn't be enjoyable for you.
I love your comedy, but I also enjoy watching you play more competitive games like csgo, r6, cod, fortnite, and maybe a new one for you like overwatch would be cool. Really any game you’re comfortable with that’s more focused on winning than exploring or laughing would be a good way to mix things up now and then.
