  • A very late Friday video, made in the wee hours.
PSA: This video contains sub-optimal levels of editing, namely, none. No script, no planning, no real editing, nothing. Same for the sound - I forgot my microphone so if you can hear anything count that as a win. Even if that "anything" is tuneless humming. I did pump up the volume though. YMMV if you choose to blow part of your life on this. No Refunds. Enjoy!

Spencer if you tell me a particular Seiko movement is better than a particular Rolex Movement when I know you have stripped and reassembled both well that's a fact in my books. Was looking forward to some banter re Obi Wan ...personally I wanted to love it but it lacked the spark and magic of the previous 2 series...your mileage may differ though.

Very nice Roler. Each piece has their own valid points that make them unique. That's the beauty of it all. Your knowledge of all these different movements is tremendous. Maybe one day I'll be fortunate to possess that kind of knowledge. Maybe we'll see you later in the week.

Nice video Spencer. Can you please tell me what size wrist you have? You've so many nice pieces and it'd be nice to imagine how they would fit me. Many thanks, stay cool.

19 cm / 7.5", up or down depending on my salt intake.

I wish I could talk to you, I've found an estate auction local to me. Multiple cabinets of crystals, tools, manuals, lathes, zeitz tools, staking sets cleaners, etc. Lol I could spend a small fortune for it. To say I could use some advice is an understatement. Lol

      Whatever happened with that?

@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch I got a couple of file cabinets full of crystals, 1 had the built in press with dies. I bid on some Seiko catalogs and other manuals, a couple of pieced together lathes, I haven't checked out yet. Also got a pivoter attachment. Several vintage watches, some old vintage movement parts. The majority of the thing I bid on I lost. Some of those prices went way higher than I expected for very old and very used equipment.

@@jeff1176 People get lots of money for old watchmaker stuff, which is weird because there is a TON of it. eBay especially is packed with it, if you have time to dig through poorly-listed auction lots with titles like "watermaker tools"
