I am South African and now live in Cape Town. I like to view my country from the eyes of visitors because there is so much I take for granted. I really enjoyed this video! It was perfect and showcased Cape Town in an authentic way.
I was alone during my trip to Cape Town/ South Africa. It was an amazing experience. Contrary to Egypt and Morocco, I haven’t been harassed there. I didn’t feel unsafe.
Cape Town rules bro.. Came here from London 20 years ago. Best decision we ever made! BTW. You can fly your drone on Lion's head, I do, just be subtle!
We have followed you guys for years. You are the absolute best. We are able to travel to places we will never visit. How wonderful! Thank you for all of your hard work. You make it look easy, we know it’s not!
Clifton Beach is on what we call the Atlantic seaboard. The beaches are beautiful in that region but the water is cold due to the cold Benguella Current flowing in the Atlantic Ocean. All the beaches in Cape town generally have white sand...I love it. Great video ... so glad you got to experience our beautiful city.
Glad you enjoyed your trip and you need to come back as South Africa has so much more to offer. Pity you didnt get time to tour the winelands which I think Carrol would have enjoyed it.
@@carolinadanson Yes, please do. The Cape Town winelands is world class. After doing multiple wine tours in Italy and France, one realizes that the Cape Town wine scene is world class and actually very fancy.👍 Do the Franschoek wine tram and the Constantia area. The Stellenbosch route is also beautiful.
Very cool video! That's me on the motorbike at 12:59 🤣 We were busy shooting a review video for the bike that's on my channel 😅 Great timing and so cool to see it captured here 😁
False bay's water is much warmer than the west coast, but you should try the east coast of South Africa, basically tropical. Then there is much more to see in SA other than Cape Town: Drakensberg, Garden Route, Kalahari, Richtersveld, Kruger national park, Mpumalanga escarpment, klein Karoo, groot karoo just to name a few, so come back and explore our beautiful country
@chrisbennett6260 Yes you can.🙂 Just don't go deeper than waist height at beaches without lifeguards if you're not a good swimmer. The currents can be strong in some places. But, Boulders beach (and some others) are very protected with mellow water.👍
Congratulations to you guys on your third new remarkable video this weekend from Cape Town, South Africa to shows these amazing places & Landmarks in March of 2024❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉Hello thank you so much for visiting my country south Africa and beautiful cape town. Travel safe enjoy and please tell the too please visit south Africa. My country needs more tourists.. Too visit. Thank you again . Great channel. Keep up the good work.
You barely scratched the surface of what South Africa has to offer, there's still so many places in Cape Town and the rest of the country that you need to explore, when you guys come back I highly recommend you take the Garden Route,it's a drive just like Chapman's Peak with beautiful views of the ocean but it's much longer and may take days to drive, but it's totally worth it cause you get to pass through many beautiful coastal towns and cities along the way, there's also many hikes and activities along the way as well. And make sure you visit Durban,it also has a lot of beautiful beaches and nature to explore, plus the water is a lot warmer there. As for the safety thing,it really depends on where in Cape Town you are,the wealthy touristy parts of the city are usually pretty safe,it's only the poor areas in the ourskirts of the city that may be dangerous.
The warnest, nicest water with huge waves are in KwaZulu-Natal Natal - just wonderful. You can swim in the Strand (near Gordon's Bay ... much warmer). Easter Cape have warmer water too. But KZN'S water the best !!
The safety issue is HIGHLY over exaggerated. Crime is concentrated is certain areas, places which you as a tourist would likely NOT find yourself in. Other than that, it’s just as safe as any other city. Take the same safety precautions as you would anywhere in the world.
So 77 murders a day is highly exagerrated???..Perhaps mention the tourists that used google maps at the airport and got slaughtered half hour after landing in CT ...for taking a wrong turn.
We are enjoying the beautiful scenery and camera work from all over the world. The background music is the essence of making viewers feel like they are traveling, and the selection of stores is very good. Their narration conveys a sense of realism and makes it more enjoyable. thank you.
Thanks you guys so much Mr. Chris & Miss Carol for your third remarkable videos from Cape Town, South Africa on top of “Table Mountain or Lion Heads” at the Southern part of Africa in 2024❤❤❤
The seawater on the Atlantic seaboard is warmer in winter. South easterly winds from the "roaring forties" blow the warm water off the surface causing cold water to "well" up and freeze our ankles.
Great times you two had in Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope! Fun seeing the penguins and the ostriches (and where else can you find both birds in the SAME place?)! Also cool seeing that lighthouse and the nearby ocean (this was where the Lost Dutchman was supposed to be doomed to endlessly try to sail around)! BTW, if you ever return to Cape Town, I hope you will spend a day exploring the fantastic Castle of Good Hope (the OLDEST European building in South Africa) as well as the Company Gardens [which has lots of fantastic ancient trees and plants and is where the late Queen Elizabeth II made her famous speech about dedicating her life to public service on her 21st birthday] and please don't overlook the Kirstenbosch Botanic Garden just outside the City Bowl which is an amazing garden chock full of exotic plants found only in the Cape region and a fantastic treetop canopy walk with views of Lion's Head AND where many concerts and celebrations take place- and has excellent outdoor restaurants where one can eat fantastic South African cuisine while enjoying the views ]! Thanks so much!
Thank you for visiting our beautiful city! This was a great video, you guys did so much in one day! You definitely need to go back and stay a little longer, there’s still sooooo much more to see and do.
What a beautiful place! All of the beaches were cool literally however amazing. Loved the views from the lion head mountain and Penguin Beach. Some places reminded me of Hawaii. Awesomeness! 😊
It’s time to get you guys to 500,000 subscribers. Your content is awesome as is the music and filming. I have watched several other channels that are not anything as entertaining or educational as yours with more subscribers. 500,000 is a very realistic goal. Pass the word on Jumping Places !
You've mastered the camera work and I'm also enjoying background music. Enjoy my country, but you haven't seen nothing if you haven't visited the inland part.
You did in one day what most people do in 4 there is so much to see in all my trips 1 spent over 18 months seeing the whole country. Enjoy Mozambique loads to see the capital is a bit run down in places but very interesting the people are wonderful enjoy.
Beautiful sunny day, you captured it perfectly! The current is coming from Antarctica so it’s cold! 🥶 when I went kayaking off Cape Town a penguin swam past me!
Always nice to explore Cape Town and South Africa. You guys doing great to enjoy food seaviews mountains and animals and good to see u guys are happy and welcome..love your videos❤
We have the two oceans on our coastline. The Atlantic Ocean (Cold water) which is what Camps Bay falls on and the Pacific Ocean (Warm water) which is where Hout Bay falls on. Each Ocean gives you something different. It depends on what you are looking for :)
Thank you for great videos Carol and Chris, always wondering which place you’re traveling next. Cape Town and the surrounding area look beautiful. Wish I can be on one of those beaches. 😊
I am a South African and stayed in this beautiful city for 8 years ( now living inland countryside ) . Thank you for the beautiful video clip of your experiences of the Mother City as it is known by locals. You have to come back for a longer stay as there are so much more to explore.
8:19 The water along the northern seaboard like Clifton/Camps Bay is icy cold due to the prevailing South Easter offshore wind during summer that causes an upwelling. In winter however it may well (at times) be warmer, because of the Northwest/Westerly winds that bring the rains that push in warmer water, but usually not much more than 15/16 degrees, but occasionally higher. In summer the warmer water around the Cape Peninsula would be on the False Bay side. Muizenberg, Fish Hoek, Simonstown, Boulders etc Thanks for the video.
Wonderful vlog - really, really enjoyed it - laid back in every way - from music to commentary to the way you video - may the force be with you and thank you for showcasing Cape Town so beautifully....

Thank you! Glad that you enjoy our videos 😊 We usually search for local music from the countries that we’re in on the copyrigh free music platform that we use but unfortunately there aren’t many available and the ones that are available sometimes are not our vlogging style.. for example we tried to find some South Africa music but the ones that we found were more like party vibes and not relaxing so we didn’t think it matched our style.
