He had the misfortune of playing the same time as Doc. Nets never should have traded him, even if Rich Jones was a good addition.
Helluva player, tho. Loved that 'Kenon lean-in' 😮

By far Larry Kenon Mr K was my favorite Spurs player in those days. Gervin was special but those K dunks were incredible

I used to copy his famous shot when he played for the ABA Nets, the "Kenon-lean-in".

I watched Larry Kennon as a kid. I copied my game from Larry Kennon and George Gervin. I had a lot of fun being basketball with my two favorite legends. Art Bolanos

Kenon was like 6-10 and Id be surprised if he were over 200lbs. He had these crazy long arms and had incredivle touch from 12 feet and in.
My dad was a Lakers fan and I remember when they needed a PF/SF who could score off the bench. My dad really wanted them to get Kenon who would have been perfect for Magic and the showtime Lakers. They got Bob McAdoo instead but Kenon was fantastic in his day.

He would’ve been NUTS with Magic. Crazy how drastically a particular situation (i.e. the right team) can change a players career, life and legacy

So I’m watching the UCLA vs Memphis St. 1973 NCAA championship game and this kid from MSt #35 just hit the sweetest turnaround jumpshot over Bill Walton.
    So here I am.

That's a pretty good comparison. Another good one is Pascal Siakim because he's 6'9" and was great at short jumpshots and keeping it basic shooting right over the defender in the post plus running the floor.

What if Julius Erving and Bob Mcadoo had a son together - Larry Kennon
