What an incredible set of tunes Talent at it's best the skill and attention to playing is unsurpassed keep playing, Mo Chairde. Would love to see them teaming up with Jake Charron on guitar keep the MUSIC going
I have seen the East pointers use that separate pickup for the bass string(s) but i think it requires a second visible pickup in the sound hole to get this signal. And I see no lead coming out of the guitar
Saw them at close quarters at Shetland FF last year, spoke to Adam about that point. He was so polite & informative to one ignorant punter (me), explained how the signal from the pickup is processed by computer which samples the complex frequencies, and halves or quarters the lowest frequencies to get powerful bass notes. (Or at least that's what I think he said?!?! His explanation went quite long way over my head!) It may also be produced by using a second pickup on the lowest two strings also, but not much room on e.g. a mando. Its very popular in Scottish contemp. folk music, as I heard at Celtic Connections also. I love the sound.
genuinely some of the best Violin and Concertina playing Ive ever seen!

What are the notes of the last tune?
is he getting that bass of the bouzouki??
I believe so, I thinks Adam uses a separate pick up for the bottom string to produce the bass notes,

Donough O'Donovan that’s true, but none of the instruments have any visible leads because it’s a video and not the live recorded track
Salut,
Pour moi à partir de 01:18 c'est une ligne de basse rajoutée derrière pendant les prises de sons.... Non?
