I love the Skyraider, the fact that it managed to not only stay in service from the late 1940's up until the early 80's but also become legendary over the skies of Korea and Vietnam protecting our soldiers on the ground is incredible. I hope to see this one on display in person someday, truly a remarkable aircraft and a powerful symbol of American bravery and tenacity.
Anyone know when and where are they going to bring back the C-7 Caribou into the Vietnam War gallery???? I noticed the jeep as the makeshift cargo diorama is off to side. So there is no way they are going to put that outdoors forever, especially with its storied history behind it.
Not much room left in that gallery, especially with a second Spad on display. It wouldn't surprise me if it didn't go into storage, which would be a terrible shame.
