Suffolk County Council are incredibly bad at regulating blue badge parking. In Ipswich cars/vans park in the disabled spots reducing those that need these spaces without anywhere to park. I did speak to Ipswich Borough Council about a certain area that is open to abuse and even sent photo's. However, the official I spoke to at the council stated the parking wardens had left off for the day (4.15pm) so there is nothing they could do. In fact their attitude was very much 'I don't really care'. Hopefully other Councils are more understanding than Suffolk/Ipswich.

I feel for anyone who's badge is stolen I remember what it was like after my stroke when I was waiting to get my badge boing to appointments like at hospital was terrible. I was surpliced in this file it talked about badge holders getting reduced coast parking. I have never found that but only had my badge less then a year and don't go many places as struggle walking for more then a few minuets so mostly just medical appointments.

Months of waiting for a new badge is pathetic in this woman's case her windscreen was smashed badge was stolen it should have only taken a couple of weeks all they would have to do is check with the police about the broken windscreen then cancel that badge then issued her with a new one. And if this is happening regularly then connect the people with their car rego.
You want Councils to talk to each other when the NHS can't even speak to itself, with one hospital not having access to what is done in others. Why would u register the vehicle? Blue badge is about the person given it not any vehicle, I want one soon might apply and will be use it when go places with a friend who drives, as we park on private land legally dobt need the blue badge for disabled parking but more and more places arecaskibg fir blue badge to be shown, so it's time to get one or try. they do have a photo on them but badges are displayed with photo on the inside not facing out I would think safety reasons but assume an Offishall can ask to see it. reg numbers are not really a good idea for example my mum has a blue badge but is not a driver we take her out so dos my brother and her cares take her out once a week they are different all the time she never knows who it will be until they arrive
