Thanks @gshockhighfashion , based on this awesome detailed step-by-step video rebuilt my old G511D-2AV "Blue & Steele"! I am the original owner and hoped to restore it after a burst battery caused more corrosion than yours, tried clean up as you did and it removed the corrosion revealing the chip was compromised. That said it isn't more broken (LOL!) and I learned a lot - thanks so much for making this video!
I repaired my watch after watching the first video. I wish I'd watched this one and I'd have cleaned the plastic to be one colour as it's worn similar to this one. Thanks for sharing
Maybe I’m just lucky the issue aren’t that bad. I’m gonna try to fix more and more models soon. Gotta keep learning and documenting all these progress.
I’m still learning as I’m doing all this, hoping to be better and better soon. Thank you very much for your watching and for your supports! I really needs it! 🙏🙏🙏
My brother droop this model years ago. I rescued and replaced the batteries. The man in the store told that moisture was inside, cause the back metal case looked rusty ¿is that possible? The moisture came in trought the screw metal case??? What do you think???
Moisture could came in through the button and backplate. If you want to save the watch, first disassemble the watch by removing the engine, clean in and out the hardcase from any dust or dirt, blow dry the interior, apply grease to the button shaft and the O-ring. Assemble everything back tightly and problem should be solved.
Hi I have casio AW-37. I was trying to repair my watch and while doing so one copper spring came out of it which I am not able to guess where does it fit. Any help approciated
I didn't have a similar watch on hand to inspect, on a G-Shock however, spring normally goes to connect LED, EL panel and analog module. Check those connections, and test if they're working or not. Certain cases, they put it in between circuit board & metal panels that connects the battery. Regardless, if the watch still works fine without even having the spring, don't bother then. 😂

I gotta say this is mostly luck. I got other G-Shock with same issue and I still can't fix it yet.
Worth a try though. Goodluck!
All the hail to the honorable shaolin master of G. respect.
Sounds too much but I accept your compliment! Thank you for your positive feedback!
Great job! But pls aware on your tools & finger prints can cause corrosion & discharge battery
Surprisingly it works
Lucky for me!

Well done 😀
I have problem with broken variable capacitor, what is the value of common casio watch?
Btw, Mine is G-315RL (that is rare item)
How about ga-110...have same problem like this put new battery... After reset, no display
I have this watch with likely this same problem. I think I'll give it a go too
i have got same problem, hope i can fix it like you
Why tiner, not alcohol?
Que tipo de bateria lleva este reloj
Why do you touch up the boards, screen and the movements etc with your Bare hands? The oils will damege it
When compared to the battery leaking and almost destroying the circuit board. 🙄
🤘🏼😎
Thank you for watching!
