The first play wasn't a Grossman lowlight, more of the running back's lowlight. But yes, Grossman was terrible. I don't mind the interceptions so much, even though they are bad. Fumbling snaps repeatedly must have angered any Bears fan. But the Bears have had no stability at QB for a lot of years.
Even if Thomas Jones had a mistake/miscue, rex whole career was mistake/miscue so Jones is excused nbs. grossMan threw INTs off his back foot ROUTINELY, 💩 was grossMan🤮(pun intended)
The thing that makes it so bad is so many people say Rex gross man was an amazing QB which absolutely drives me insane. When I ask why they think that they say because he took the bears to the superbowl. Bears fans know this is absolutely ridiculous because he did everything in his power not to make it to the superbowl but our defense and devin Hester was just too good. They were offense by themselves. I wouldn’t be surprised if our defense scored more points than our offense that year lol
The Bears got to that Super Bowl because of mainly Hester and the defense they had at the time. But Rex was bound to eventually give that game away and sure enough he did.
@@brawy1 Defense, Special Teams(Hester & Robbie Gould), even Thomas Jones was ready for that 🏆 rex b**ch ass was the only one who didn't get the memo that day
I think Chicago would have beaten Indy in the SB if Benson didn't injure his knee and Griese was the one under center; a lot less turnovers, defense gets more rest and Peyton stays stuck on the sideline. People forget the D/ST played lights out for the majority of the game.
The only SB with consistent rain. The Bears so-called vaunted D couldn't stop the Colts mighty run game. Peyton Manning had two turnovers, but didn't need to do a whole lot.
When your offense can't stay on the field, it makes it hard on the defense, even if it's the best defense in the league. Just ask the 2018 Bears. To be fair, I'd take Mitch over Rex any day of the week.
That defense was stout, but you have to consider this: that's peyton manning out there. The Bears defense started out strong and dominant, but they fizzled out. They made mistakes, which the offense ultimately couldn't support them.
Bro 5he bears were down by 3 points going into the 4th quarter after giving up 4 turnovers, if the bears gad a competent quarterback we would have won that super bowl without a doubt. For Christ sake the game started with a Devin Hester kickoff return for a touchdown.
I had never seen the Bears defense be run on like that during that season. Joe Addai toe that ass up. And Rhodes. Bears gave up 188 on the ground. Offense was never the calling card. The D was suppose to shut em down. You dont win with that Bears D.
This is hard to watch. He was Jay Cutler lite. 8 games with a 98 plus passer rating and finished the season with a 73. When he was on they averaged 36.5 ppg with an 8-0 record. What's overlooked is the injuries to Mike Brown and Tommy Harris. Brown went down week 6, Harris week 13 where the Bears were allowing 12.5 ppg and that's not controlling for Grossman turnovers giving opponents outstanding field position, including 2 interceptions returned to the Bears 1. Once he went down they allowed almost double the points on a per game basis. They overcome Grossman but the injuries caught up to them vs Manning.
chicagodude8888 defense and special teams(Hester & Gould) played too damn hard during that era for grossman and cutler to play like #bitches in 06-07 Bowl and 10-11 NFC Championship. Them mfers was suppose to leave it all out their on the field and they didn't. #8 and #6 assisted Colts and packers chips 🏆
that was the one downfall of that defense. Mike Brown was injury prone and not a lot of depth behind him. Chris Harris n' Manning were good but inexperienced. I think Harris played FS then had to fill in at SS and Manning was a rookie.
If only he played decent enough. The game was actually a lot close than it looked, so presumably if he hadn't throw that pick towards the end + all of those lousy turnovers, bears win. Colts deserved the SB more though.

Facts.
We could've had a playoff team in '07 if Lovie would've pulled him sooner...much better chance, anyway
I was at the New Years game against the packers where he had a 0.0 QB rating. He was awful.
I’m pretty sure that Hester + that defense did actually score more than the offense did lol
Grossman was terrible, but let's take a moment to remember that Bob Sanders was really freaking good.
That last pick was him
I’m a colts fan, I miss him. I hope Darius Leonard doesn’t end up like him
I don't care, rex grossman is a terrible quarterback. 😡😡😡😡😡
Terrible as 💩. And then cutler comes in and continues qb half-assness and is terrible as 💩 reloaded

I feel like this video should be longer. As a Bears fan, SB 41 went on forever.
As a colts fan,I’m glad we won. Otherwise we would only have 1 ring and be complete poverty as of recent

We either have a bad QB or a bad coach

If they had Aaron Rodgers as QB instead of Rex Grossman, they win the Super Bowl, IMO...

What crapp ass weather conditions for a super bowl. Never seen that before and after
Bit unfair this video. Bears D was trash and couldn’t get the Colts off the field, but Grossman definitely did not cover himself in glory.
How about a video where Kerry Collins was atrocious in SB 35
Not a bad idea, might revive this mini series.
