This song was playing on the radio when my wife got into a car accident with my three month old son in the backseat. The back glass shattered into the backseat my son was in the rear facing car seat. Somehow he did not have a scratch on him.
Thanks for reminding me of the year. I never heard her sing a whole song on that show (channel surfing), but during a performance I called my son into the room and said, "I don't know if this girl is going to win, but she will definitely have a career". That was a judgement made literally in seconds.
This was her first song on her first album after idol she was advised not to do this song because it talks about Jesus but she went with her Faith and beliefs and it hit number one with God all things are possible Amen 🙏 🙏
Not the reason, she was advised not to release it as her first single. Country radio didn't want Carrie have it period, Idol winner shouldn't release this song and her label said go ahead and do it. And fans took it from there. Country radio was so pissed, that fans demand they play it. Radio was given a simple choice, play it or lose listeners. They couldn't afford at the time, Carrie came out to lose listeners, so they play it.
You know, when she first auditioned in American Idol, I knew there and then she would be the winner! And would be a hit, mostly because her heart is so pure. She a preacher’s kid who just loves the Lord and has a kind heart. Like you Billy!
I've heard this song thousands of times. I'm in the middle of some health and financial concerns and while I've spent time praying about it, this time this song really got me. I needed this. There is a reason God has me binging your videos. He knew.
I totally agree that Carrie is an angel here on earth Billy! I got to see her sing this song live at the Opry...not a dry eye in the house! POWERFUL STUFF live!!
Reactions to this should be deep and reverent. I could listen to it 50 times, and would tear up every time. Carrie FEELS these gospel songs, she doesn't just sing them.
This song hurts me so much and puts me in the happiest place at the same time. This song was playing in the hospital when they pulled the coord on my mom when I was 10 and it hits so many memories💔
It's a metaphor.... How? Tell in a time in which it's acceptable to give up trying to make the best out of a hopeless situation.... If your child has stage 20 cancer and there is a surgery with a 1/9999999 chance of success.... Do you just day "Fuck it. I won't even try. I'll just pray, instead?
Carrie has already explained that. Don't do that in real life. It is just a song. As Carrie said it is a very good song, but that is all it is. Nothing more.
Brad it’s more about letting go and moving forward. I’m not religious but some people find hope in religion and not everyone just relays on prayers. Some actually pray AND do something about
My hubby was hit head on by a car going the wrong way on the Interstate. I was told he died twice before he got to the Hospital, both ankles were crushed like powdered sugar. He had to have bones from his hips infused with his ankles and was told he would likely never walk on his own again. I hit my knees and told the Lord I had no idea what to do. He had a good paying job so that I could work if I wanted but basically only worked fun jobs I liked. I kept praying, and listening for answers. My hubby is a stubborn man and he relentlessly worked on his legs. I found a small cafe out of business and started a new business, which turned quite successful very quick. Hubby made the coffee and tea and then would sit with the patrons, people got to calling him the Mayor of our town. Long Story short He walked without any help, We had a successful business, We found the blessings the Lord heaped upon us by choosing to listen. The greatest GIFT and the greatest CURSE God gave mankind was freewill. We can choose how we proceed in life, with his help or not.
Song. Makes. Me. Cry. Every time. And by the way. Underwood is viewed by many to be the most talented American Idol winner ever. She deserves ALL her success. She and her husband have 2 sons.
Jesus take the wheel is a reminder for me. I lost my aunt on March 6 2019 .she was all i had and this song was her ringtone.so now i feel so alone in this world.all of my family is gone only me and my sister left .my heart breaks when i hear this song .
When I was 6 my mom and I got in a flip over car accident, we were driving home from the beach and the front passenger tire blew out and the car started spinning, we got to the side of the expressway and started rolling, my moms hand went out the window and the car was rolling on her hand and she wasn’t wearing her seatbelt, the car landed on its roof and people pulled over and yanked on doors to get the doors open and one finally opened, they got us out, my mom didn’t have a single broken bone and just had a bloody knee, I didn’t have a single scratch or bruise, my mom said Jesus was in the car with us that night.
If you want to see Carrie Underwood as an angel, watch "Softly and Tenderly" from the CMA Awards. It's the annual memorial song for those who died the previous year, so BillyYouSoEmotional will definitely check in. What really hits hard is they also feature the victims of the 2017 Las Vegas Shooting
This song came out during the most God awful time in my life! Years with anxiety, the death of my sister, losing our ranch and my animals but the frightening part was me thinking of suicide and I held my arms out to Jesus begging Him for help! He took the wheel, gave me the strength to keep going and never give my granddaughters a reason to be proud, not filled with sorrow!
This was actually her first song that she put out after winning American Idol back in 2006, I believe. And man, she didn't disappoint with this beautiful song.
I'm shocked I sang this song two years ago in 2022 at the Transition program talent show and miraculously I got first place in my last year of the transition program. ❤🙏✝️🎵🎶.
I'm sure her husband won't mind as long as you were respectful and you are! Don't you know he knows how beautiful she is and a voice like an angel to boot
This song was written by a friend of mine who was inspired by an incident that broke our local community's collective heart. A very well known, well loved and well respected local musician was on his way home in a snow storm, and a plow/sanding truck wasn't paying the most attention to what he was doing. The local musician hit a patch of salt, spun out and ended up flying off the road and into the ocean. It's a beautifully heartbreaking song that has an even more insanely heartbreaking backstory.
The part with the older couple always brings tears to my eyes. If you didn’t quite notice, that part started with the wife (seemingly) having Dementia or Alzheimer’s. The sadness in the husband’s eyes ... gets me every time.
THIS one gets me.. my ex bf whom I was BLESSED enough to have stayed very close with, sadly passed away at the age of 23, because he hit black ice. PJ's car actually flipped and landed on his neighbor's lawn ! He was NOT drinking ! His father heard the crash and went outside to see what happened... He immediately recognized his son's car.. shook his head and walked back into their home and waited for the police. He died, I believe 2 1/2 years later. 😢😢😭💔
I do so understand what you mean about please don't have a bad scene here! I used to listen to a lot more country music, until it just began to wear thin with all the sadness in so many songs. But now & then YAY - a happy ending! Always love your reactions, thanks!
In an interview, Brad Paisley said his young boy was so struck on Carrie that when she came to their house, he couldn't even talk. LOL. Even my own 2 year old grandson is stricken by Carrie. My daughter says if he sees her on TV, he just freezes and watches her until the tv stops showing her. And somewhere is a video Carrie took of her husband(Mike Fisher-pro hocky player) singing to their baby son. The baby starts crying. Then Carrie bends over him and sings and he stops. Dad bends over and sings to him and he cries again. It's so cute and funny.
Carrie has so many great songs you should check out. If you like Jesus Take the Wheel, you should really react to Something in the Water. It's another great song about Christian faith and the music video is just incredible.
Carrie was not 18 when she recorded this song. She was 21 when she auditioned for "American Idol"; so, she was probably about 22 when she recorded "Jesus Take The Wheel".
Whoa! This is great! Lyrics are awesome and she can really sing Speaking of next reaction, I'd like to see you reacting to Another One Bites the Dust, it's one of best Queen songs and maybe you haven't heard it yet and today is Freddie's birthday
This song was playing on the radio when my wife got into a car accident with my three month old son in the backseat. The back glass shattered into the backseat my son was in the rear facing car seat. Somehow he did not have a scratch on him.
God was watching out for them
Praise God!
The pinnacle of divine intervention.
Wow, glad for Jesus
God was watching over them that day.
Billy I've been a big fan of Carrie Underwood since she won American Idol in 2005. I agree with you, she is an angel!
Thanks for reminding me of the year. I never heard her sing a whole song on that show (channel surfing), but during a performance I called my son into the room and said, "I don't know if this girl is going to win, but she will definitely have a career". YES a BEAUTIFUL ANGEL

She is an angel. We all agree. I loved your worship of God, Billy. TY&GBY Love to you&yours!
You know, when she first auditioned in American Idol, I knew there and then she would be the winner! And would be a hit, mostly because her heart is so pure.
She a preacher’s kid who just loves the Lord and has a kind heart. Like you Billy!
Her father worked in a sawmill, he wasn't a preacher at all.
Please react to Temporary Home by Carrie Underwood! The song is so emotional!!
Chelle To The Belle I was just going to suggest this song
Pretty sure he already has a reaction video for "Temporary Home;" in fact, that's how I learned of it.
I've heard this song thousands of times. I'm in the middle of some health and financial concerns and while I've spent time praying about it, this time this song really got me. I needed this. There is a reason God has me binging your videos. He knew.
Carrie Underwood is an angel with an angel’svoice.
She is an angel. I'm not a huge country fan, but I love this song. Tugs at heartstrings. Good vid dude...
I LOVE Carrie.
She did so many songs that just make me bawl.
I'm Wiccan, but this song just touches my heartstrings!
All these years later, and this song still gives me chills.
I totally agree that Carrie is an angel here on earth Billy! I got to see her sing this song live at the Opry...not a dry eye in the house! POWERFUL STUFF live!!
This was her very first single. Been a mega fan since her idol day.
This was Carrie's breakout hit. Good song
Just remember that "Jesus take the wheel" is a metaphor. Please keep both hands on the wheel at all times.
Knew someone who tried it for real, without actually being out-of-control. They wrecked. They lived but not without long - term complications.

@@row759 How is it a good song when the message is about giving up when things seem hopeless?
Brad it’s more about letting go and moving forward. I’m not religious but some people find hope in religion and not everyone just relays on prayers. Some actually pray AND do something about
It really is a beautiful song.
See You Again by Carrie Underwood!!!
And her voice has just gotten better over the years!!
Love Carrie...more please. Almost thought we were going to get an appearance of Billy so emotional 😉.
Love all your reactions I have been binge watching you love the emotional feels and happiness

Do "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwood
*her husband is a pro NHL player
Carrie Underwood has a song called ,"drinking alone". It's a bit different from her normal sound. But she knocks the song out the park 😍😍
I really love the emotional side you bring into your reactions. That's true 💯
Loved carrie since
american idol and yes she sooo lovely
After all the years of seeing this video, I just now realized the old man is the same fella from the Joe Nichols "If Nobody Believed in You" video.
Me 2 lol
He also in"Believe" by Brooks and Dunn and in "Whiskey Lullaby "by Brad Paisley. And the old black man from Believe is in Whiskey Lullaby.
I think most people who served in the military have a dark sense of humor.
No lie on that
For King and Country/Dolly Parton "God Only Knows" Also Brandi Carslile "The Joke"

I'm sure her husband won't mind as long as you were respectful and you are! Don't you know he knows how beautiful she is and a voice like an angel to boot
Billy,I just saw your comments. I believe this was her first hit /song after winning American Idol. I think it is the song that sent her to stardom
My sister used to laugh at me for this song but i never cared this and many of her songs always got me through so much 💖💝
This song always gets me
This song was written by a friend of mine who was inspired by an incident that broke our local community's collective heart. A very well known, well loved and well respected local musician was on his way home in a snow storm, and a plow/sanding truck wasn't paying the most attention to what he was doing. She’s amazing Billy!

Her 1st ever was amazingly perfect. 💞
Carrie has so many great songs you should check out. If you like Jesus Take the Wheel, you should really react to Something in the Water. It's another great song about Christian faith and the music video is just incredible.
Good reaction, thank you.

Billie I'm a new subscriber but love your reactions
She was 18 when she did this song. Im strictly Jewish but I love this song.
Carrie was not 18 when she recorded this song. She was 21 when she auditioned for "American Idol"; so, she was probably about 22 when she recorded "Jesus Take The Wheel".
She has the voice of an angel
Have you seen Remind Me with Carrie and Brad Paisley?
Her legs in that video always makes me want to hit the gym! Goodness!
I'm male but I love cairre Underwood because she is amazing
I mean why do you have to specify that? It's not that uncommon for men to appreciate incredible singers who are also very beautiful
Carrie Underwood is beautiful inside and out
My husband works in a bar and he has the night shifts, 5pm to 2am..everytime he walked out of the door i asked Jesus to watch over him.
Whoa! This is great! Lyrics are awesome and she can really sing
Speaking of next reaction, I'd like to see you reacting to Another One Bites the Dust, it's one of best Queen songs and maybe you haven't heard it yet and today is Freddie's birthday
