- Cole Trotta full sends down an insane, crack filled, classic Berkeley road. For the very first time, without having any idea what the road looks like.
Do NOT blind drop runs. Its a extremely dangerous, and when you haven't seen the road, you could come hauling into water, rocks, etc... Cole is just a different breed of crazy, with an intense amount of skill. So ummmm.... Hope you enjoy the run, its GNARLY!

This looks like Claremont Ave. - runs twisting all the way down the hill from Grizzly Peak to the Claremont Hotel. Dude is certifiable.
that's what I thought it looked like too. man, driving that road is sketchy as fuck, i can't imagine going down it on a plank of wood.

I've biked up and down that hill quite a few times, and I have to say, the GoPro effect is real here. That hill is MUCH steeper and has tighter turns than the camera makes it look. Good control dude!
Hi Evan, which hill is this? I live in the area hence the query. Of course, I have no plans to skateboard. But a careful :-) drive on this road may be fun.

Ive grown up driving over Claremont canyon, i go driving there all the time now in my mx 5 and see people boarding down pretty frequently. My friends tell me im crazy for driving the way i do, but i think you guys are the crazy ones lol. Keep doing what you love, if you ever see someone ripping around in a red miata say hey!

What most people fail to comment on is the high speed controlled side slipping, very hard to maintain and requires intense concentration, well done

I couldn’t relax watching this. This is better than watching some sports car rev through the hills. I used to think I was cool skating down steep hills, but this is just insane. Good sound too. I used to drive through that area three to five times a day.

This is Claremont right? I bike this road at least a few times a week. Camera does not capture how big some of these cracks are. Much worse irl.. Super impressed.

Impressive ! wish we could close the street a day for everyone to go down! is a dead game with the cars ....especially bay area drivers to me it feels like climbing without a rope, when there are cars the dead dangers grow exponentially if no cars the worst would be a wipeout but with all the gear it can be manageable but going like this is like a major fee solo! Be safe! skate forever!

This guy is going fast, but no where near 70. I'm local and am very familiar with the road
50 mph. You'd need an engine to go 70 mph.
I just moved out of Berkeley and biked that hill a lot. I got up around 45mph pretty regularly, so I'd guess he's also topping out somewhere near 50.
I followed a skater once on my road bike and he was hitting 50.
