Love this! An old room mate gave me one of these cameras years ago when they found out I was using film and I had the same conversion idea. It sat on a shelf ever since but seeing you do this so well has remotivated me!
Hello Travis! Thanks for the video. I actually purchased your kit on Etsy and just converted mine for a UA-cam and educational video, which we will feature you :) I am about to test the camera but I don’t know the shutter speed for the Polaroid Land D850. What shutter speed did you meter to? Or do you just set it up like you would use a Polaroid film using the slider and ASA adjuster?
www.landlist.ch/landlist/landdata.htm Thank you for reaching out, I can't wait to see your work. Please let me know if you need any additional help, I always like to collaborate. I have attached a link to an EV conversion scale to aperture & shutter speeds you can reference.
I just came across a Polaroid land camera model 160 out in Galena, IL some weeks ago in great condition. I've been searching for ways to be able to convert it since they no longer make 3000 film. I'm definitely purchasing the film conversion kit. Thank you for this video! Man was I looking for something to help me.
Thank you, I'm glad you found my video in your search to use these older model Polaroid cameras. Feel free to contact me here or on Etsy if you have any questions, Or if you need any additional parts. I am working on creating a 3D printed winder knob assembly to replace the need to use existing parts from an Argus camera. I'll look forward to your order!
Thank you for reaching out, I have designed a conversion kit for the model 80. I don't currently sell it on my Etsy page yet because I am still fine tuning some details but If you get in contact with me on there or through my email. (tlangphoto@gmail.com) I would be happy to send you some parts you would need to convert a model 80 yourself. It is a similar process to the larger models .
Yes I love to work on and convert these cameras. I have solved the light leak issues on past builds. Lets get in contact with each other. You can reach me at Tlangphoto@gmail.com
Hi, thank you for reaching out. Yes I do conversions for these types of Polaroid cameras. I also sell kits so people can do their own conversions. @@tlangphoto Hi Travis! Thanks for the reply! That's awesome! I saw the conversion kit, I'm not to handy with any of that haha, but will contact you soon! Thanks so much! Andrea
I have a Polaroid model 80. Since that used the 30 series film rather than the 40 series like the model 150, would the kit in the description be 100% compatible for this build or would parts be slightly different?
The model 80 with its 30 series film is a little smaller than the 40 series film cameras, so the kit I currently sell will not fit on the model 80. But I just finished converting a 80b for a customer and I have a video on the way detailing the whole conversion process. Feel free to contact me at Tlangphoto@gmail.com or you can message me on my Etsy page and I can get you set up with a kit to convert your own camera.
I’m wondering if it would be worth it to do this type of modification to one of the models like the 110b. Better more versatile optics, etc. Same basic body.
I am currently in the process of converting a model 110b. I know people have also done 4x5 conversions to this style of camera. I think it’s a good option to convert these cameras, you end up with a 6x9cm 120 camera that has rangefinder style focusing capability.
@@tlangphoto I just make a homemade instax camera a few months ago, It's not work as good as I plan. so I end up cancel my project. But after watch this video, It make me want to try a few thing about my project. Thank you for still make these Polaroid Land video. It inspired me alot.
It's a simple project. first part is making Miniaturize large format camera, turn it in to 46 × 62 mm Image size camera(46 × 62 mm is an instax mini Image size) there are a lot of tutorial for making large format camera so that part is easy(except when I'm making Ground Glass Back parallel with the lens. That is hard) and the second is making a instax mini film developer I took an inspiration from jollylook camera's hand crank method but my result was not so good. My project still have a longgg way to go befor it usable.

How to count 1,2,3
how many rounds for each photo change?
2-1/2 turns of the film knob advances the film to the next frame. 7 shots per roll is the standard amount to expect without frame overlap.
@@tlangphoto how can you make sure the place is right?
