- Today we take a look at the Schrek PPC Carrier and the Pegasus Hovertank from the BattleTech Mercenaries Kickstarter. These two minis we are looking at today are pre-production hard plastic minis that made their way here via Randall, and are representative of the minis that will come in the kickstarter very soon.

Those look great! I like that they’re coming with cards for 4 variants each too.
I am so glad that I correctly sized all of my vehicles that I 3D printed. And I know quite a few people who are gonna be upset when they see the size of these vehicles compared to the ones that they made for themselves.
They're beefy.
EE means Elemental Engine. Means when you take an engine hit, every time you shoot, you roll to see if you explode.
Thank you, I generally see it so rarely in play that I dont think it has ever come up
Soooo close I cant wait to get mine!
Nice! Finally! I have so many from 3rd party sellers!! But id rather buy from cgl they just better make sure the price point is not scaled too high!
They need all the vehicles, aerospace infantry and battlearmor as well!! To at least catch up to the iwm stuff!!
Love the paint jobs
Thank you
Great!
There is no battlearmor in the Mercs box, sadly. It was an early rumour that never panned out. That said, to my understanding it comes with some cardboard tokens for infantry, emplacements, and vehicles, as well as the BFS cards to utilize them, so with a little luck that might include BA as well.
They have the tokens in the BFS Beta, and they do include Elementals and Standard Battle Armor on half-hex tokens, as are all other Infantry tokens. Hopefully the punch-outs match up.
Seeing the rotating turrets makes me wonder if we will ever get torso twist from cgl. Not necessary by any means but I have a few of my mechs pinned to twist and it is fun, and makes for good battle pics.
I don't know if CGL would consider making Mechs with twistable torsos . I do know that it would make the production process a bit more complicated.
Cool
A bit late to the party but when you say hard plastic do you mean they no longer use the semi-soft/rubbery plastic ? That would be great news to me!
It is the same plastic as the current minis line, I was referring to the fact that they arent 3d printed prototypes, but pre- first run proofs
Nice chicken reference btw. I would have liked to see these compared to the IWM versions.
Unfortunately I dont have the IWM versions to compare them to. I do know from a recent visit to the IWM booth at the Richmond Open that the Pegasus dwarfs the old metal version
Anyone else get these minis first?
It is my understanding that there are a few floating around
Big chonker. Not much room for basing
True. Not much NEED for it, though. If anything, it may actually interfere on the table as you can put 2 Vehicles in a single Hex, unlike Mechs.
To be fair, as wide as the Schrek is, you would have a hard time fitting more than one on a hex even without the hex base
The Schreck and Pegasus come in pairs in the Assault & Cavalry Battlefield Support Forcepack, along with the Demolisher and Condor.
Good to see those turrets move. Let's hope they didn't glue them in production. Will probably find out in a month, or a little more (hopefully).
Yeah, I am definitely hoping that these are not getting glued at the factory. I have a feeling though that they wont.
Oh, and thanks for the clarification. I forgot to look it up beforehand. I did think they come in the same force pack
@@Unicorn_Company, no problem.
Back in the KS days, I made a spreadsheet of what came in which so I knew which to order for my meager Company Pledge. The Assault & Cavalry Pack were number 1 for me due to the Schrecks!
I've since added everything so I can keep track of which ones I've bought so I don't accidentally double purchase. Deliberately double-dipping is okay, but if I missed out on one because of it, I would be kicking myself.
