    I don't clean and stack the deer hair. (OK, I use my fingers to pull out loose stuff from the hair.) I just measure my slightly messy hair bundle and tie in. I think this fly is supposed to look slightly disheveled.....

    Do you trim the CDC fibers if they stick out the back, well past the deer hair? Or do you leave them be?

    Love your videos. Quick question, how do you judge how much elk hair to use? Is it just experience or is there some way to eyeball it?
