- Good morning @everyone and I hope this Tuesday is starting off as a great one for you! Today I'm gonna walk you through the patch notes of Patch 67 and why June's month of Quantity does have a couple of nice things. Yes, there is A LOT to this month and it's my hope that long term it will be a good loop for Star Trek Fleet Command. BUT, let's talk about what we have from the officers to the loops! Let's dive in!

It's bad enough that they've added yet another convoluted loop grind to the game but to set it up so that big players can easily just wait for smaller players at the gates and take their loot is a real dick move.
Yep. Same as gorn and silent, the lvl 65 players will just camp the low lvl systems and ensure lower players cannot complete events
Yep PvP was always complete and utter trash in this game. Not only is it convoluted to the point where no one can actually understand it, it also is largely p2w and now rewards the worst people, the biggest bullies/ scumbags out there. What could go wrong.
I watched the official video she mentioned leaving she also mentioned the key expiring to leave. So is there a time limit to be there?
Is anyone truly surprised? High lvl players and spenders are the only ones scopely want to do anything for. Might as well make this game a pay to play game.

@@Argis01 Me too. I thought I would miss the game, but once I was out, it was easy to stay away. I was just addicted to doing my dailies and all that to not "fall behind", but I wasn't having fun anymore. I just check in once in awhile to see what has changed, but it only seems to keep getting worse. My server also had a merge and the new environment was super toxic so that also made it easier to leave.

2024. Scopely's Loop Year. It's too much. Players who are already behind with all the other loops due to being lower level have no chance to catch up. It's about time Scopely stops for 3 months and just works on quality of life and issue fixes.
They wont do it. Its all about the money greed. They dont care about the f2p and low spenders.
In a few years there will only be empty servers with only whales left who battle temselves about spending money. This game has become a game for rich people.
Scopely Says we want you to move up fast. Scopely software engineers... we don't think so.
Scopely doesn’t care. Not sure why people are suggesting they do this or do that. It’s pointless. This game is meant to generate revenue. Not care about the player base and our feelings.

New stuff like this needs to be quarterly AT MOST, NOT monthly. The other months, they should do ONLY quality updates. We aren't given time to master or integrate the prior month's new stuff into our daily gameplay before we're hit with even more. It's insanity.

I’m genuinely stunned that the officer filter wasn’t behind a paywall or level 40 of syndicate.
Scopley just flat lied with the quality over quantity statement. WTF a 4th bp, greedy bastards.

I really enjoyed this game until I hit level 40, then I just completely lost interest.

I am a spender. Think its time to find a new game. There are MORE chores in this game than any game I have played. We dont have TIME to PvP anymore as we have too many chores. They need to fix the game between free to play and paid as its becoming too hard long term in alliances to keep the F2P players going. Another lie, quality over quantity. Fed up Scopely, fed up!

So Discovery can't jump with mirror U systems, even though they totally did it in the tv show. Yeah ok
Gee surprising that they introduce another loop Ops Lvl 40 and above and then they wonder why so many players stay at 39.

I agree with playing it before we dump on it but this loop is already tainted. Scopley just don't seem to understand that if they release something that looks bad, chances are it'll never be redeemed in the eyes of players
Im drowning in reserch. I cant complete old research thats still realevant as fast as they are adding new reserch. They need to add ways to speed the completion of old reserch before they add new.
Agreed. Thats why so many are frustrated with new loops and it just isn't clicking for them.
@RevDeuce you often argue for us on the right places in the game. Appreciate that. I'm sure this topic has been brought up, but it may be time it become a top priority for the feedback we players give so it can be a top priority for CCs. I know there are only a million topic top priority for change though. Man, that's where I think I need the most help. I'm never gonna be able to compete by officers, especially with Scopley taking new officer access away and reducing shards payed out, but I can't even compete in reserch with how long it takes to gain mats and time requirements vs speed ups when everything else uses all the same stuff.
May I please ask that you do a video where you compare and contrast all of the current loops and rank them in order of importance to do and which ones can be ignored?

The officer filter is a great addition. More unbalanced pvp makes it impossible to complete the events. A convoluted mess- will get ignored DOA.
Well wheres the information on gorn ship event?
Weekly event, starts on Thursday, will run long enough until you earn a free unlock through the event, then it disappears

Is it sad that the highlight is that they used Trek lore for the stuff we have to mine (Trellium) but it was used in Enterprise for the Delphic Expanse a few months too late on this one.
My first impression is this will be a loser of a month nice work team.
It. Is. A. Lot. When we already have a lot.
So many old loops still take ages to finish off, SCOPLY should drop a massive chest to let everyone catch up to say 9 - 12 months ago or even right up to date, this new loop looks mad to progress on…
I have enough armada credits to spend a solid month with no sleep just doing different types of armadas. This needs a quick spend/reward path as does scrapping blueprints for all the obsolete ships I never build.

I am impressed they went with the IDW comic Mirror Picard. By the way, in that comic, Riker is his first officer because Picard beat the living tar out of him. Mirror Picard is someone who would appreciate General Picard's Hall of Skulls.
Yay another month of quality over quantity! I'm trilled by the new feature that requires a restart when i call a miner home.
Wow was so glad to hear of this content...going on vacation so not worried I will miss anything with this months event. As soon as I heard more Ganking and of course our server will have at least one major Alliance sitting in rotation to take out any player in these systems. I will save some money not buying the BP, long term shield and enjoy a nice summer vacation. Yeah...lots and lots of content lol. They really need to have their spell check looked at as quality keeps being auto corrected to quantity. Such a low bar for quality content and checks in this game lol.
Well, this could well be the month I finally quit. It looks just far too much, too much effort - especially if it's just gonna be whaled off you at the exit points.
This is my problem with this game. I work full time, I go to the gym after work, I have family time, then there's this game. To get everything done that they throw at you on a daily basis it usually takes hours out of your day, like with faction hunt. I don't have time to spend 3 hours just on faction hunt just to finish that one thing, and it seems like they are steady adding more stuff to do on every rollout. I get it, the more time you play the game the more likely you will spend some money, but damn it's starting to feel like a second job that I don't get paid for and sometimes I pay them. They really need a better balance of how much stuff you have to do each day to get the rewards for that day. It all comes down to greed, and it takes the fun out of the game. I like playing this game, but I'm not going to spend 5 hours a day on here just to get all of the rewards that everyone else is getting. No offense to anyone that does sit on there all day, but I got real life shit I gotta worry about for the majority of my day(s). Oh and not to mention, you spend hours out there grinding in mirror space just for some asshat to hit you when you try to leave and they take all of your shit. No thank you.
the officer filters would have been nice in the ship screen - cause there its# where we need that :D
Rev: Every time you have a chat with the overlords.. online or otherwise.... You should start the conversation with "Quality over Quantity." And then just sit there silently for 20 minutes. Let them fill the void with their explanations, reasoning, logic, whatever... We can extrapolate from there.
Gate camping was the reason I quit EVE Echos. They introduced interdiction bubbles that made traveling impossible and I was done.

Filters always should use an AND-logic instead of an OR-logic. Filters shall narrow down the amount of results. An AND-logic increases the amount of results instead, which results in the problem of having a huge list of officers again - which (ironically) is the problem that this filter is intended to fix.

Fancy intro music-- -- woo hoo! and now the arc cannot compare
So basically I have to go to a certain system in full view of whoever is in that system. Then I have to use a rift key to go through a rift that is labeled with which system I’m gonna end up in. So whoever is in the 40+ system can just wait for me to come out the other side and kill me. That or wait until I hit a hostile or my cloak wears off and then kill me. Because I can’t exit until the timer wears off

So in place of quality they added a huge quantity all for only over ops 40? Loops, systems, currencies.... This makes me not want to push as there already is so much that starts at ops 40 that will be overloaded the moment leveled up. Will force me to camp longer (even though $copley has said they don't want players to camp)
That Mirror Galaxy Dreadnought design looks like it was pulled straight from Star Trek Online.
I really want a playable version of it in STFC :(
On my primary (Ops 57)...I'll take this loop off, and skip the battle pass entirely as it rewards Scopely for their efforts at making the game even more complicated. I don't need the extra work, MU officers or research to get to 58 or get to Klingon Champion rep, which are my goals right now.
On my secondary (Ops 27)...it tells me I needn't bother going above Ops 34 (to unlock the Enterprise/Augur) and to take my time getting there. I swear, it's almost a totally different game, especially since most of the aggro players on my server have left or are too high level to bother. No competition for G3 nodes, no worries about rushing to make the next level or next milestone...it's actually pretty pleasant.
How about "dramatically changing" PvP by getting rid of it?

An arc that feeds f2p and low spenders into the whales' mouths. No protected cargo has to be the biggest d*k move Scopley has ever done.
Thanks for the massive convoluted quantity, no protected cargo, guess I'll stay out of mirror space so I don't get jumped. Just keep playing the game I can, no FOMO for me. I'm sure the PVPer's and whales will enjoy. Oh well HUGE MISS, maybe it will balance out next year. As always thanks REV.
i like that the bigger players get something new to do truly, but as a new player it is sad to see that for example alliance cannot help new/small players to level up faster, or for example a new sort of field training for every 5 or 10 levels up until lvl 40 ish. at this moment i am lvl 28 and 4 milj power and strugling hard to get dailies done on a full-time working schedule. new field trainings at certain levels could help with leveling up a franklin, stella and vidar for example but there are waaay more things to do for more newer players

I would drop this ARC, at least with Xindi you get to keep what you work for.
I’m actually afraid that this isn’t just another grind loop… it’s actually an entire universe for new grind loops. Think about it: mirror augment grinds, mirror eclipse Stella grinding, mirror Terran empire, Rom and Klingon faction grinds, mirror Borg ginds, mirror Voyager grinds, mirror [continues counting off the list].
So a FTP Eviscerator but whatever happened to a FTP Gorn? Did I completely miss it?

I'm lvl 39 and I just tried that code but I got the message saying I am not eligible even though it says lvl10+. WTF?!? Before anyone ask, it's hours after the reset.
I cant keep up. I'm on like 8hrs a day.
Apparently, if you go the the tab to claim your supply of vouchers, but exit out and not claim them, it disappears and you can't go back to get them. Not going to put my effort into this loop for a while.
Yeah I think this is gonna take a while to care about. Another grind, timers, getting whacked at the door, for some new crunchies and doo dads.
I finally hit the thirties and im irritated that they moved everything out to lvl 40 and higher. Im getting tired of missing out on most the fun events do to a lvl requirement and i doupt im the only one.
Yeah, this is way too much. This is the opposite of what players have been asking for. I was excited when I first saw it was going to be mirror universe but after watching this and Beks video I'm not at all looking forward to it.
There’s no chance. Especially in our server, where one alliance dominates over all of us. They’ll gatekeep the entire area and tax us to play. I’m a lvl 47 and I’m so behind the other loops I have no chance at even starting this garbage.

There is a time limit to how long one can stay in these systems, so 24/7 gatekeep is impossible. There definitely will be piracy though.
So is freeman now irrelevant? cause I literally just got her in this past arc store and could finally hold my own in pvp. I'll be pretty pissed if I'm instantly everyone's punching bad again while this new officer is locked behind a $500 plus pay wall
Yeah this feels like a bare minimum participation to clear the f2p battlepass requirements and come back to it later.... When i'm 4 ops levels higher and have a Pilum. And i'm done with Xindi/ex borg.

With so many toxic players and pvp loving whales in my server, gatekeeping will absolutely be an issue - can almost guarantee that they will do so both religiously and gleefully. By that problem alone I will likely not waste my time with this new content, and focus my limited time elsewhere.

Nope, just no for me. I'm already ignoring several of the recent loops/grinds and happy for it. I'm able to punch up for my Ops level, make progress and enjoy the game. My secret? Ignore all the new content Scopely keeps dropping!
Yeah this a lot.......... it's like they added a new game on top of game. It will be interesting and see how it goes. On the surface it looks like A cash grab like fts where last summer. Hope for best till i hit the 99.99 paywalls.
Honest question - what even is the point of playing STFC if you're F2P and working your way past ops 35? Any ops 40+ that's spent or gotten these officers, primes, etc is effectively unbeatable in PVP (against lower ops).
Seems odd releasing this after servers are back up and we have already had Bek's video and the release notes. Is this scopely's doing or some odd choice?

@nickm9102 well, it looks as if PVP is actually kinda useless in this content. At least in lower level systems. Maybe in higher systems cargo can be filled but early on there isn't enough cargo to make it worthwhile when you only have 20m to raid. Better to just grind for loot chest.
@@JohnThomas-ut3go maybe, but the reality of PvP is that if someone decides to do it the will easily fill up by waiting at the gate and hitting the weakened ships that are returning home. A few will decide to try and snipe from the mirror side. Then there are the ones that will find the mining systems and clean them out.
You are also working on the misconception that those who PvP have a minimum standard for raiding. This will be a shit show. It will just take a few days for raiders to get what they need in tokens to make it to their desired feeding grounds.
@nickm9102 for one you don't need to use the exits. If you can wait the remainder of the 20m you get pushed out no lose.
The main thing is for most that can enter these systems the payout from loot boxes will pay better than the cargo that can be gathered in 20m from grinding 40s. The PVP player also only have 20m. Waiting at the exit isn't a good stradegy. So unless you can grind pvp as well as the reds, unless the pvp loot boxes pay the same as hostiles your losing out.
The exception would be mining of course, but I have yet to find mining systems. So I dont know how effective mining mechanic is, especially as it is dependent on reserch. I dont know how well pirating would work in mining systems this early in. One thing though is if people can't mine and get cargo home due to pirates people won't mine and they won't have anything to take. It's kinda a bit in mechanic to ensure mining has no value.
You are right, there will always be some going the pvp route. With the possible exception of mining it isnt efficient while most players are fighting the 40s.
I see a super big issue with the gate keeping. The bigs will have a insensitive to pick on the lower levels. They need to to put restrictions on the levels

Can you confirm that even when dying against hostiles, you lose all cargo? You currently don't lose any cargo anywhere else in this situation.. Tnx..
