Thank you so much for introducing me to the 2 vanillas from the Makeupstore..love them and the price is ridiculous! My collection is never without CSP Vanille Extreme..love it and their Vanille Abricot as well. VS Vanilla Lace was a signature scent for me until they discontinued it…I have one little bottle left that I am hoarding…I keep expecting them to surprise us and bring it back!

Great video! I enjoy vanilla so much in the Fall/Winter. Maison Tahite Vanillade and Bohoboco Vanilla Black Pepper are two of my favorites. I love that you brought out Vanilla Fields...brings back so many memories for me. I think it was one of my first predominantly vanilla perfumes when I was younger. 🙂

Sarah, you're singing my song! I absolutely adore Lalique Le Parfum and I use the Cremo Spice & Black Vanilla. Awhile back, I finished a 1 oz bottle of Casmir-was thinking about repurchasing Casmir. I did enjoy it, cutest bottle ever. Another favorite is Jimmy Choo Vanilla Love, but that is like a unicorn! Not sure why it disappeared so quickly from the market because it's only been out a couple of years.I had to get a dupe oil from Impressive Bliss ~Cynthia

@@sherlcollins7011 I saw the reviews, I felt like they were completely bogus. I was given a sample, I’m so glad I tried it for myself. At this point I don’t give much credence to reviews on there. I saw Lune Feline compared to “ By the Fireplace” by Replica. It smells absolutely nothing like it.

It’s so soothing with the lavender and just the right amount of light, airy sweetness with the 3 different vanillas and the cacao. I think the ginger note gives it a more sophisticated quality as well. I love it so much. I think I adore lavender / vanilla fragrances as I also love Mon Guerlain - one of the most soothing comforting openings, and then sexy, warm, beautiful smelling dry-downs of any perfume I’ve tried.

@@hannahyaleahi, I'm so glad you mentioned the cacao. It's so obvious, right? Nobody mentions the cacao 😅 I loooove Goddess for exactly what your describing! For me, the drydown is not a straightforward vanilla though. Best purchase of 2023 aside Rosendo no 5. 👌

Vanilla has always been a difficult note for me. Foody, sweet vanillas end up too cloying and headache inducing. It's taken me years to find my perfect vanilla which is Burberry Goddess. I absolutely love it ❤

@@nancymarkiewicz8123 I'm extremely sensitive to heavy/sweet scents. They're a big no for me. Goddess is a perfect, not too sweet, non gourmand vanilla. It's really a beautiful scent ❤️

I think the closest thing I have in my collection to something that smells like tart, sweet candy is Michel Germain Sugarful. ❤️

I am not the biggest fan of Bourbon Vanilla but I do enjoy Vaniglia del Madagascar which is a BV. ❤️
I still haven't found my perfect vanilla. That true, warm, strong vanilla that's maybe a tad boozy. I have the La Rive, but after TWO YEARS of maceration it's now just okay ish. Before it was awful to me. I also have Casmir, have been wearing that for 2 decades, but it's not vanilla enough to me.
I do say I'm a bit surprised by the list. Not that you have unexpected names, because that's the Sarah-style 😅. But that you're missing so many I hàd expected. Like a Guerlain, you have one, but I definitely did not see that one coming. Probably the ones with vanilla in the name.. was kinda hoping to hear more. Also, surprisingly, no Kayali Vanilla 28 😮, or Dior Vanilla Diorama, or Serge Lutens Une Bois Vanille. All 3 are on my wishlist, as in "try with haste as they seem amazing".
Have you tried any of these and are they just not that great after all, or did you leave them out because they're well known?
Hi there! I left out all of my Guerlains because most are not true vanilla’s which is what I am focusing on in this video. I really dislike Kayali and sold my bottle asap, I have in Bois Vanille which I really love but it’s a travel spray and I only wanted to include full bottles and I have a dupe of vanilla diorama because I knew it would be disappointing for the price point and I wasn’t wrong.

I'd been thinking of 'going dupe' with the Dior as that price is ridiculous to begin with. Now reading you, I'm absolutely sure. Maybe a Collection Prestige, or a perhaps there's a Middle Eastern gem.
I guess Lutens is the winner 😉 (it's currently on sale on a beauty website, together with Fils de Joie - I love jasmine almost as much as vanilla.)
What ingredients are in a perfume that cost $3?
The same ingredients that are in all other perfumes, synthetic aroma chemicals, just in lower quantities.
