If you already have recent generation iPad like iPad Air 4th or iPad 9th there is no need to upgrade. I upgraded from a iPad 6th generation which is getting slow with only 2GB RAM, the upgrade to iPad 5th with 8GB and at $400 is a great improvement.
The lowest price for iPad 10th gen is $350, which is only $50 lower but iPad Air 5th is lighter, slimmer, 4 speakers, faster M1 CPU, so much better.
Battery backup of air 5 ?
Actually, Ipad Air 5th has only 2 stereo speakers. I have one, it is an incredibly piece of machine.

Bought one from a family friend for $350 and that's with simcard.

It did get a base 128gb config (and other storage options, too). But no Face ID.
how many more future updates will i get on ipad air 5?
not sure since apple doesn't advertise that but considering it came out in 2022, it will probably get at least 3-4 more years if i had to guess
Not worth it tbh. Bought one last year and the battery life is atrocious. I only get 5-6 hrs SOT max on 40% brightness, wifi only, moderate social media use and streaming. Returned it and got a Tab S9+ and I get 11-13 hrs SOT with the same use case and brightness, etc. and never looked back lol.

Uk that M1 is still better than 8 gen 3 and only tab with this processor is s9 which is damn expensive

@@taco_Baco what do you mean? ipad air 5 is already an old device and the s9 is a more recent one. You`ll have updates for 5 years ahead
since all ipads will get some kind of upgrade later this year it makes no sense to buy a older ipad...
Many that don’t have the money need to get an older one as the new ones are too expensive.
