Agree - however im just thinking out loud, perhaps the standards need to change. 20 PPG used to be the standard, but its easy to miss a name and tough to pick a standout when there are like 30 guys in that 18-25 PPG range.

Hear me out: Reversible Jerseys. We used to do this all the time in college. Our broke asses couldn't afford two jerseys (home/away) 😂 But I think this may work and will be a hell of a gimmick if done right!

W video. Fox was snubbed so hard. Elite stats (the shooting % is insane when you consider both the shots he takes and the volume), most clutch player in the NBA, and the Kings are good. I really hope he makes it as a sub.

They can overcome that jersey issue by creating a two sided jersey that can be flipped inside out depending on the team that picks you... Had that in my high-school team as a home/away kit.
You guys know they order two pairs for everything and don’t open the box until they’ve been told to, the one that isn’t sold is sent back, they do this all the time for championship games and stuff, they even have two commercials set up for merchandise and play the winners commercial

Can you explain how you think butler shouldn’t of got in is it just games played ? Because if you look at his numbers it’s been his most efficient season and he is litterally 4th among Eastern Conference players in PER, 3rd in BPM, 4th in EPM, and despite supposedly not playing enough games, 7th in VORP.
Advanced stats don't mean anything. Is he a star ? Yes but there were guys who had better seasons and Per is a flawed stat or has anything to do with you making the all star team

Bro so many people say harden should replace Jrue. Shoes how much people didn’t do research and just saying random BS. Jrue is putting up up as many points as harden while being a way better defender. Harden only shoots .6% better from three and gets fouled way more often, if Jrue had the same refs he would have just as many trips to the line. Jrue is better this season, Jrue shouldn’t be replaced for Harden. Derozan should. Stop with the Jrue Holiday slander. The narrative of “Harden is the must underrated and hated player” isn’t there that’s grasping at straws. You just can’t handle the Jruth.
Please use the true shooting percentage and not FG% when you compare players, because the FG% doesn’t tell the hole story. For example: when you compared Fox and George, you showed that Fox has an 50 FG% and PG only has 46%, but when you look at the TS%, both of them have 59%. It makes no sense to ignore the FT% and the value of the 3 pointer.

@@Steventsang113 jrue averaged 23.9pts 10ast and 4.7 rebounds without giannis where as harden averaged 20.2pts 10.2ast and 6.7 rebounds without Joel. The argument was that James harden was snubbed because he pulled through for the Sixers when they were missing embiid. They pulled up very similar stats but defensively jrue holiday is better. I feel like the only reason people feel harden was snubbed is because he is a big name.
Jrue can't get any love, one of the best two way players in the game. And definitely deserves to be an all-star.

To not even mention Aaron Gordon is crazy. He has been the second best players on the second best team in the NBA. He should be in over JJJ. More games played and better team.
That is hella fun the fact they get do it in person is cool and we get to see the players true feelings about each other before and after the all star game. I can’t believe that the NBA and fans,media, underestimate players that deserve to be all stars and talked about. And players that should be more respected cause of the impact they bring to the league and teams.
As someone who thought Brunson was the most overrated free agent, he absolutely deserves to be a Allstar this season

For the jersey thing, yes that's what they do in the playoffs with the shirts for the winners of conference championships and the finals, they can afford to make 2 jerseys
The thing about the alll star draft is that they have 2 jerseys for each player one on orage and one on blue so if kyrie gets picked on orange they have a back Up

For the all-star jersey problem, there are ways the NBA can get around it. They can sell both color jerseys online and for the game, they can have one of each color jersey available, save for Giannis and LeBron of course.
Just have the players wear their team jersey. That's what they did in the past, do a throwback. Those all-star jerseys are just for money-making and collectible purposes anyway. ACTUAL pick-up games don't even have matching jerseys to begin with.
They should do the ASG draft like what the NHL did in the early 2010s, where they did the draft a few days before the ASG with all players attending in person and reacting accordingly.
I’d like to see Dame to the Nets, Irving to the Lakers, Westbrook and a lot of draft capital from both the Lakers and the Nets to the Blazers.
Not quite sure if that gets it done for the Blazers. Might need a young prospect or two on top of that.

My only issue with your video is that you didn't take in frontcourt/backcourt. Can't replace a power forward in Randle with a pg like Brunson. Gotta remember they take all that into account

If they increased the size to 15 players each, you could include garland, butler and siakam in the east (and swap in brunson), and fox, edwards and a toss up spot in the west
I'm kinda biased but I don't really agree with Harden being there over Jrue, Jrue showed up big in games without Khris and Giannis (like Harden showed up in games without Embiid, haven't watched Philly games so idk how big his games were but I assume he did more than expected) and Harden is not even half the defender Jrue is, the only big difference between the two offensively is Harden's playmaking but the splits aren't far apart 21.4 on 45/39/86 compared to 19.2 on 46/37/86 (numbers are a bit rounded)

I dont really see the point of having an ASG in this era of massively inflated offensive stats. everyone has amazing numbers, to the point where its diluted the meaning. avg 25ppg means less than avg 20ppg 10 years ago. individual stats are practically meaningless now. the NBA ruined its product w/ rules changes.

The Darius Garland snub. NO, he shouldn't be an all star this season. He's close, but no. I'm not saying Garland isn't talented, but the team plays better without him.
The Cavs are 10 - 0 when he doesn't play. When Garland plays, they are a pedestrian 26 - 22.
By comparison, when Jarrett Allen sits, the Cavs are 3- 5. When Donovan Mitchell sits, they are 5 - 6. Again... when Garland sits, they are 10 - 0. That's a sample size that can't be ignored or dismissed.

Aside from the voted All Star, I think NBA should create another team for the snubbed players (but they wont be called as an all star team) and they will compete with the combined reserved West and East. This will add competition and they can prove that they are the better team. Fans will be highly invested on this and this will also generate money for the NBA.
For the championship they have both team shirt as winner and other stuff and events doing this does not affect them for which jersy to use they do it either way for many stuff pick up can be the same thing

Edwards deserves a spot. Avg 25pt this season for his 3rd year and that’s beyond enough credentials. And he’s loved for being a “newish” player.

These all star reserves are just terrible lmao. Some deserve it but plenty got me scratching my head. Can someone tell me my jaren Jackson Paul George and jrue holiday are all stars. Like come on man. George missed what feels like 90% of the season holiday is good but isn’t anything special and Jackson just straight up shouldn’t be in. The jerseys should only have #s with no names. That way, it can stay authentic to a true pick-up game.

I wouldn't call it a fake draft. Of course, they'll pick their teams days before, but we'll still get real-time reactions from the chosen players. It's not fake, it's smart.
The problem is that we are overreacting to numbers. Someone who is avg like 25P/9R/5A today, 10-20 years ago would translate to 19P/5R/2A... normal numbers. Everyone is a superstar today because the game is all about flash plays and not about basketball anymore. Hell, fix AllStar with 7players on the floor so we can have flash plays after flash plays all the time. Only lobby permited.

The retail fashion industry has always created two sets of sports apparel. Every team that ever lost a championship had apparel ready if they won in nearly every mall/shop and on hand. People in the packing industry are up all night waiting to work once the big game ends. They have two sets of jerseys for each player/team.
Source: My step mom works for New Era and doesn't give a shit about sports but is forced to learn who won nearly every championship.
What they will do is let those people pick their teams live and sell everyone's Jersey anyway.

They've made and are selling both all-star jerseys, I've seen them in the team store at a Pacers game for Tyrese in both colors. They'll probably just sell the jersey that isn't worn like the ones they already have been selling.

I agree on Brunson Randle swap. Brunson has been great, i did believe that he could play out his contract. But he has! Lauri Markannen got in, that is very good.

It's a popularity contest, stats don't matter here, all star events are for fans who want to see their favorite players, if they snub some star, it doesn't mean they suck,it means they aren't popular enough at that time of the year.

The reason about jersey sales is kinda weak. How much of the total NBA jersey sales can be attributed to All-star jerseys? How much of that is actually in-game or arena purchases? Also, i dont think the cost of printing 2 sets of jerseys for each player will hurt the NBA. That conspiracy is kinda lame.
