I had to throw a comment here and say that you totally saved the day by mentioning the mods settings, and having the location be the same as the game. I have not had much luck with Vortex in the past and only turned to it out of necessity for CP2077 as my game became very unstable with manually installing mods. I'm willing to bet that was my problem all along, so plenty to go back to and give it another try. I'm now enjoying Night City with plenty of mods thanks to you, so thank you very much!

One thing to add for anyone who installed mods before fixing the download drive mentioned in the video - all you have to do is go to your mods section, click the 'down' arrow next to the 'remove' button, and click on 'reinstall' for each mod. Mods work perfectly now! Thanks again, SSG!
A good thing to know is that the default %Apps% folder won't work even if you are installed on C:\ . Make a folder and it works perfectly. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!

Hi! There is no option for a Hardlink deployment. Only showing move deployment. Thanks for any help! Just found out that any variant FAT formatted hardrives don't support hardlink deployment unfortunately.
I have starfield with 28 mods. I add cyberpunk as game. It installs mods to the same folder as starfield. When I click cyberpunk and go to mods, it shows all my starfield mods as well. Its a shared staging folder. I had to copy the staging file into a new folder and use the new folder for cyberpunk. Seems really stupid or i am doing something clearly wrong. It should be more straight forward. I dont want all my mods for all games on the same damn list.
Wait Wait. vortex updates the mods automatically?? How!? I haven't been playing Cyberpunk because the newest update broke my mods so how do I fix this?

idk why, but no mods work... everything looks how it should, but when i start the game no mod from nexus mods shows up ingame. Im kinda frustrated. Tried it fo 4h or so... Cyberengine tweaks and simple menu are the only ones wich work, because i did them manually.

I don't want to download them twice, though. Does anyone know if there's a way to securely delete the already-existing files and replace them without losing data?
What about mods the don’t have the vortex option and only manual download? When downloading mods the don’t outright have the vortex option there IS a vortex option next to manual when looking at the mod files but I’ve noticed that most mods that don’t have vortex at the top of the page recommend manual download. Is it safe to download those with the vortex option in the mod files tab? And I mean safe in a nine mod breaking aspect not virus aspect, I only downloaded mods marked safe from viruses. I hope to get some clarification here because the mods on the CP2077 modding subreddit won’t approve my request to post.

I use Vortex extensively for Fallout 4, but I also use LOOT to set my load order for the game. I've wanted to get CP2077 to mod the heck out of it, but I don't know if Vortex will handle the load order for it, or do I need a separate program?
Learned a lot of Fallout 4 modding from Gopher and now getting going with Cyberpunk modding with you and you both sound very similar!
