Rod Smith needs to be in the NFL hall of fame now!!!!
no kidding. it's perplexing how he isn't. broncos get screwed from mecklenburg to rod smith. wtf...
He will be. Sometimes they take way way WAY too long to let people in, this is one of those times!
If he goes Sterling Sharpe must ad well
@@MeLoNHeAd00 100% agree! i’m still mad at the world dude got hurt at peak of his powers. but yea he has HOF stats and impact for sure
has more yards than any undrafted player ever!! HOF!!! bring Atwater with him!!!
Rod was the ultimate teammate. A future HOF Bronco.
If it's anybody that deserves a Hall of Fame award, it's this man (Mr. Rod Smith). I know him personally he's very hardworking, he rarely takes any breaks, VERY HUMBLE, he's the only retired football player I am a big fan of, on top of that, WHEN HE HAS TIME, He takes time out to write his fans back..... The brother is real, full of love, very funny intelligent brother. So please give him his props... cuz he earned EVERY LAST BIT OF IT
Love Rod. Such a great role model.
Hopefully they give him a chance on the seniors committee he was the epitome of a steady producer and consistent professional. Great hands, blocker with physicality and a stout route runner who could take it in the back of the endzone or take one across the middle in traffic. Undoubtedly the best undrafted receiver ever. No question in my mind.
I was at the Washington game when I was 12. South stands, eighth row, right in front of me. The crowd reaction was one of the best I have ever experienced in all the games I've ever been to
Boy do we need a Rod Smith right now! Rod was an all pro!
My favorite football player ever. I had his Tshirt. Greet memories from my students days in Colorado. I am back home in Saudi now and this video made me feel nostalgic
Rod should be in the hall of fame but seeing Steve Atwater in that gold jacket made my day
Rod Smith. The best Broncos Wide Receiver of all time until someone can top his STATS he will be the G.O.A.T. for the Orange & Blue!!
First time I saw Rod Smith was in 2001. I was 9 Just got into football. He made so many memories for me in such a short time. I still remember the Black Jack Pizza Commericals hahaha. Thank you 80!! For all the memories.
As a lifelong kc chiefs fan, I'm not sure how this was suggested to me. I did enjoy it and I can tell you from a rival team fans pov Rod Smith needs to be in the hof
lightning rod smith! greatest ever! I'm so glad I got to see this guy play. Hall of famer for sure!
Rod Smith’s career and character are enough to merit being in the Hall of Fame alone. The supporting factors should include that he is in the Broncos Ring of Fame, which acknowledges the best players of that franchise, an elite category it’s self. Also, the fact that he is the most successful undrafted free agent at his position to have accomplished what he has in the NFL is incredibly inspiring…
Kurt Warner is in the HoF, and Rod Smith’s story and achievements are just as remarkable…
🤔
I love Broncos. we have had some sleepers that no one wanted like Smith, Sharpe, Davis, Plummer, etc. We can make it work. Broncos Country Lets Ride!!
He is that guy.
I remember meeting him at a basketball charity event when I was 5 or 6. Humble giant.
Rod Smith finally starts = Broncos finally win a Super Bowl. Do the math! Legend.
Mad respect for Rod. Class act all the way.
Rod Smith Hall of Fame NOW!
Still have a poster of him in my old bedroom at my parents house! Such a Legend
Mr. Smith! Thank You Sir!
Rod Smith is a Hall of Famer no question!!!
Rod exemplifies everything most of today's athletes aren't. First and foremost, he's a humble human being! Secondly, he is willing to do the dirty work & make others around him better. Whether he gets into the HOF or not, he's in my HOF & Broncos country's HOF!!!
Love you, Rod! Such a humble champion.
Rod Smith is one of my all time favorite Broncos players
Absolutely love Rods story and his work ethic!!! Greatest Bronco wide receiver ever 👊🏻
Awesome highlight of a equally awesome person. Congrats to Rod on his career and future business goals!
This man was the reason I watch football
This is so awesome. Rod is beloved by the broncos faithful. He showed class and resilience
Rod is a great player and person to look up to and dream to be and his journey is motivating he’s a hall of famer
Best duo receiver Broncos ever had : Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey
Best WR in Broncos history...DENVER LEGEND
49ers fan here. Rod Smith was one of my favorite receivers to ever play the game. And I just love his story. Hopefully he gets in the HOF one day.
Rod Smith Pro Bowl Bound!
These memories… we had a dynasty💕
MILE HIGH SALUTE!
Rod is a winner and all heart. Opposite of Jeudy and his potential
Wow, you guys did amazing in this documentary! Quality was amazing and I'm so happy you honored Rod this way. He is what defines a Bronco and has made Denver proud and blessed for many years. Happy he is getting the credit he deserves. A gold jacket is worthy IMO if you really look and all that he contributed to the game. Not just receiver stats but blocking, returning, leading ect. Loved this!
rod smith should be in the hall of fame no dought
Rod Smith and Jake Plummer are two of my favorite underdog players of all time. I don't even like the Broncos much but I have had a huge appreciation for several of their players, over the years.
Rod Smith, Thank You for everything you did with Elway and the Denver Broncos. The 43 Yard Touchdown September 17th, 1995 to Win over the Skins nearly got me $27,000,000.00 . Thank You for being Fun to Watch too- Perry C Anderson, Lake Granbury, Tx
On the football field, In Rod We Trust.
11,000 plus yards receiving, great BLOCKER, 2 time super bowl champion and an undrafted free agent!!!! What's the hold up on the HOF Canton!!!!!!
Can you imagine if the majority of players in the nfl were like Rod Smith? We’d have a much better product to watch.
Super Bowl XXXIII MVP imo
In Rod we trust 🧡💙
Ultimate team player.
GO BRONCOS 🏈🐎
Rod made one of the best catches I've ever seen, but I've yet to see it in one of his highlights reels.
It was in a throw away game in Kansas City. Elway was stinking it up for most of the game: the temperature was in the single digits, and Elway was struggling in the cold weather. Anyway, the Broncos were getting beat badly, and Elway did his patented desperation plays where he scrambles around and then chucks it as far as he can. Elway put the ball on Smith's wrong shoulder, but he still managed to spin around and somehow spear the ball with one hand. He didn't score with it, and it was otherwise forgettable game that everyone else had checked out of, but that was the play that made me realize that Rod never quit. Hall of Famer for sure.
He should be in the Hall of Fame right now! So frustrating to see deserving Broncos snubbed by the HoF committee.
Top notch 👌 Great job Rod! 👏
Hot Rod Smith is the best WR in Denver Broncos history!
Rod!!!!!
I think he'd be a great coach.
🐐
Great show. I have one issue. Rod kept claiming that he's slow. He is not slow. I watched him run by world class athletes every week for a decade. There is nothing slow about that. He wasn't slow. Pull my other leg it plays jingle bells.
He left lots of good memories for the city of and the state of Colorado. He is a great man. I had a chance to meet him I worked on his home as a carpenter he was his own GC that tells how smart he is he had pass the test. It wasn't about talking football I remember it was about building his home. He wanted focus out of everyone working on his home. He was on site everyday inspecting your work.😊 If it was up to his standard redo it or gtf off his property...
Rod helped Terrell Davis be MVP then the next year he helped John Elway be MVP!
They just don't make them like this guy anymore. Love you Rod❤
Well that was awesome
Should be in HOF
Some of the current wrs need to learn from Rod about being a football player and learn some run blocking
1997 was the most glorious NFL year in all of world history.
ROD
Should be a H.O.F one day .
Love you Jake ❤
Hof!!!
Wow your profile pic is of the late Darrent Williams #27 may he Rest in Peace. 🙏he was well loved, I remember watching some highlights of his from College, and he was over there picking up the opposing player, after he made the tackle. Always ready to help somebody sadly that's how he passed.😥 "All ready" D-block.
@@Smith-l5e funky town Texas legend.
Yall see Jerry Jeudy making this commitment? Doing whatever to takes to be better as a team.
Just imagine the Broncos almost killed him after his first touchdown pass ever…
Definitely a Hall of Fame career…
😳
I have a signed football card of his. Ive had it for almost 20 years
Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton can learn a lot from this man.
That’s gonna be Tim Patrick
HoF worthy player. Raw stats are the only thing keeping him out, imo. But it shouldn’t.
His stats are more or less equal to Michael Irving’s , with ONLY 3 years with elway as qb
HOF. HOF. HOF.
We need will fuller john ross and kevin king from free agency Hinton and Cleveland aren't doing the job, cut gordon and sign jordan Howard he's a free agent, play jalen virgil
That team Shanahan put together before Elway retired is one of the best in NFL history. Rod Smith was a huge part of it, he always played with attitude and he was reliable on the biggest plays. Between Smith, Elway, Davis, Sharpe, McCafery, Griffith, Zimmerman Schlereth, Nalen, Romanowski, Neil Smith from the Chiefs, of all places, Trevor Price,
Al Wilson, Mobley, Ray Crockett, Tyrone Braxton and the Great Steve Atwater who singlehandedly ended the Nigerian nightmare's NFL running back career... I would pit any combination of those two teams, offensive and defensive, against any other Super Bowl Champions in NFL history. And be confident that with Elway's ability to resurrect his team in the fourth quarter of any game where teams are evenly matched, they'd come out on top every single time. Hats off to Rod Smith... your story and success are truly inspirational and work ethic is something every young man should aspire to. Much love and respect 🙏 ❤️
Just busted that 666 like count. Lol!
