Brian, I thought I had watched all the videos you had made and don't know how I missed this one. Reason being that Black Corvette is the exact twin of mine to the T. And even the issues with the paint are spot on. I realize you are reviewing different products but if you had that exact Corvette in front of you today with the paint in that exact condition what would you choose as for the compound, polish, type of pads in order from compound to finish for the correction. Also compounding use with rotary or could it all be done with DA . As I said previously that Corvette is exactly in every way what I have been throwing money at in products and pads for several months and gotten very little improvement what so ever. The only product I have recently purchased that made me feel I found the holy grail was Sonax CUT MAX, PERFECT FINISH, and the EX04.06 by Sonax. But the sun completely came out and I was fooled. By watching and learning things from you I'm thinking a good compound is important the polisher also but the pad selection ranks a tad bit higher it seems. From your videos I was leaning towards the Lake country low lint pre wash then another video the Ero 50/50 then the Orange foam lake country????? Then I think I need to purchase a rotary and a pure wool pad. I just seem to get confusion from watching all your videos as to exactly what direction to go in so without you reviewing a product what would you have chosen and the steps taken to correct the black Corvette in this video please. Thank you in advance for responding back to this.
Menzerna is a water-based product. The manufacturers suggest misting some water on your pad before applying and after. Then going over the area again leaving a nice gloss.
I run a used car business and the HC1000 and HC400 is my go to! Aside from the affordable price, its german made so you know its good and does the job! I prime my wool pad w mckees 914 as this is a pure cleaner and provides lubrication. Work 1 panel at a time and buff of w a damp microfiber w the same n914 solution and top off w a sealant or ceramic. I must have sold more than 100 cars in the 10 years of doing used car trading
Hey man question, i have the 1000 but when i use it it tends to dry up very quickly, dust alot all over the place and with a towel I cant get it off the panel
I run a used car business and ive been using the heavy cut 1000 and heavy cut 400 for the longest time… dusting was also my issue but I think its due to the environment I live in (hot and humid). compared to other products the dusting on this is manageable! I also dampen my hyrbid wool pad w mckees n914, work on 1 panel at a time and buff off w a damp microfiber w the n914 solution! Works wonders
Well done Brian, I'm wondering what was the time spent on this correction & what is your price for this type of service. Do you have standard package pricing or do you charge according to vehicle type & package choice. Thanks, Vince.
I have a 6 years old car which has never been polished/compound at all except after paint repair at workshop and regular washing and waxing occasionally. I'm about to perform compounding/polishing with Menzerna, which one should I use for my car? 1000+2400+3800 or 400+3800 ?
Brian, I would like to do something like this on my 2017 F150 it has minor swirl marks. You mentioned that the GM or Chevy Clear is a hard clear coat. What would a F150 clear be considered do you have a specific product combo you would recommend along with a pad combo?
wow cuts really nice when u pair up with right pad.i love how u hear ur tone about residue control its like ur ready to slap the shit out of some1,but totally get it no time to do unnecessary steps.b safe work safe...
Nice video! I am looking forward to watching your other videos on the rotary to eventually add that to my arsenal in addition to some DA's. Would you mind sharing a bit about your lighting setup? Both the stationary and the hand-helds you were using?
What would be menzernas polish to follow up the 1000? I’ve heard good stuff about it I’m not in the detailing business . I do paint & collision work & not fond of the meguiars or 3m . I’m looking for something good at an affordable price .
I know each vehicle is different but what combo would you use first to test for a 2017 Ram 1500 with white pearl metallic paint to remove similar scratches to this vehicle. Compound, pads, and finishing polish?
Brian, I just used this 1000 Menzerna with rotary machine. But I’m very disappointed that a lot of residue has splashed all over my car and is difficult to remove.
Hello, Brian. just found you channel. THE BEST UA-cam CHANNEL for detailing info!! LOVE IT !! Im a newbie to this detailing. I have 3 honda 2blue, 1red(little fading) . needs serious attention. swirls marks , scratches,(not deep) . I decided to go with Sonax cut max, bc of your top 3 choices. after sonax cut max. what do I need to use? can I use SONAX EX 04-06? and after I use it, do I need to wax and do sealant? kinda confused.. or what would u recommend after SONAX cut max? and sealant and wax? and how about Pads, looking at lake country? ill be using DAportal cable 7424xp. If you can please give me any advised, Much appreciated! from westcoast canada! thank you!!
A small test area... soft clear will easily cut with a medium to mild polish compared to hard clear where you need a super heavy cut and aggressive cut pad.
Would it be possible to test some compounds that you can get from Walmart/AutoZone like turtle wax/meguirs/ other brands that you can get off the shelf
What's your opinion on glazes? I have all the CG glazes but honestly i feel like they are just a waste of time and effort . it looks exactly the same before the application and after...
Great demo, making the vette look wet and sexy. 🌊💦 Have you used Zaino products?... would like to see you demo a car for us using Zaino products. Just imagining your polishing skill with Zaino (their polishes make cars look special.)
Quite a few compounds to go....Stay tuned!!

*_This one is a winner for sure. Brian, your the best! Thanks again for yet another excellent demonstration._*
It is worth testing more...but doubt it comes close to Cut Max.🙂
Menzerna is a water-based product. The manufacturers suggest misting some water on your pad before applying and after. Then going over the area again leaving a nice gloss.
I've begun using the Menzerna Super Finish Plus 3800 on a foam hand polishing pad and really love the results.

Really amazing results.
Nice job brian as usual, stay cool brother, from sunny California
I am trying! Near triple digit temps!🔥🔥🔥
Apex Detail ,if you don't mind me asking, what State are you located in?
Wilfredo Dizon, Pennsylvania
h1989w7373 ,I've been to Philly and I've been to Amish county-loved them both!
So niceee, can’t find playlist for the fine polishes, have you done it yet? Thanks for all the info
Top notch review!
😁👍🏻

Thanks for this video, I have a red C6 corvette ,but my paint is not as bad as this one ,so should I go with a 2500 or higher, instead of 1000 ?
wow cuts really nice when u pair up with right pad.i love how u hear ur tone about residue control its like ur ready to slap the shit out of some1,but totally get it no time to do unnecessary steps.b safe work safe...
Richard Seem great for hard clear!💪🏼
Can't wait till you try out the Soft99 Fusso Coat!
Hey Brian, would you recommend this Menzerna to try on a boat with gelcoat? Do you think it'd work as good?
And how does the Americana polish compare to Sonax perfect finish? More/less cut?
I use Finesse to finish harder clears....Perfect finish for soft clear. More cut.
Superb information!!
Loops And Threads 😁👍🏻
Will you be doing a separate review on the Americana Global Finesse?
I often use a 3" pad on a 8mm DA. GG in my case. Definitely puts more power onto the paint.
💪🏼👍🏻
What was the dressing used for tires? Do you said you used a torq 10x with a 3” backing?
Is the 400 cut more than the 1000? Does the numbers mean grit cut as in the 400, 1000, 2500 ?
Awesome 👍
Nice video! I am looking forward to watching your other videos on the rotary to eventually add that to my arsenal in addition to some DA's. Would you mind sharing a bit about your lighting setup? Both the stationary and the hand-helds you were using?
I plan on getting back to more rotary videos very soon.👍🏻
I thought u shouldn’t go that slow with rotatory polisher?
What rpm did u used?
Is this better than Ultimate Compound?
What would be menzernas polish to follow up the 1000? I’ve heard good stuff about it I’m not in the detailing business . I do paint & collision work & not fond of the meguiars or 3m . I’m looking for something good at an affordable price .

Sonax Cut Max and a microfiber cut pad
Whats the difference between compound 400 and 1000 which one is better
Thanks for sharing. The compound does look like it will place pretty high on the podeim
We shall see!😁
How do you feel about 3M vs Menzerna?
Great video Braian (y)
😁👍🏻 Brian
:D Sorry Brian
What brand backing plate you using? Can't find it anywhere
Surprised to see you using the TorqX instead of the 3” Flex. Any particular reason?
i like to switch it up...I also use the Rupes LHR75 Pneumatic. also a 3 inch that can take 4 inch pads.
Brian, I just used this 1000 Menzerna with rotary machine. But I’m very disappointed that a lot of residue has splashed all over my car and is difficult to remove.
Just wondered what speed to cut with using the 1000
What kind of clear coat does a 2017 super duty have?
Hello, Brian. just found you channel. THE BEST UA-cam CHANNEL for detailing info!! LOVE IT !! Im a newbie to this detailing. After Cut Max...I use Sonax Perfect Finish. Then your favorite wax or sealant to protect. Pads....Lake Country microfiber pads 👍
Thank you Brian!! cant wait for your others videos!!
What rpm did you use on the rotary for cutting?
Indeed.. Pennsylvania 😁
Can you get AutoFanatic's wheel cleaner and test it when it comes out?
Absolutely!!😃
how would this compare to 3m superduty?
What RPM did you start the rotary at ? 1200
So with Torq10fx i cant do all car? I want to take my first polisher and i look for the best, in midle range price, to can do all car, any suggestion?
You can...before you decide...watch my MaxShine 15mm video first.
Apex Detail I saw that but i dont find it here, i need also 220V. Torx has a plus, in my situation, that can have 2 plates 6 and 3" with one polisher.
Apex Detail I have here Shine Mate EX610-5/15, do you know it? Can you tell me your opinion about it? Thx
The Shine Mate Should treat you well.👍
What's the best way to determine the hardness of a clear coat?
A small test area... soft clear will easily cut with a medium to mild polish compared to hard clear where you need a super heavy cut and aggressive cut pad.
Great video as always... How does this compare with menzerna 1100
A great match with wool pads!
Amazing!!! 😱
Texas Khaos 😁👍🏻
Apex Detail what backing plate are you using on the HF polisher?
In your experience do you find the Dodge Challenger clear coat hard or soft?
I find them to be medium to moderate. Or on a scale of 1 to 10 ten being the hardest. Challenger would be 6-7
Apex Detail thanks Brian, that will help me in starting with the right products whenI correct mine. Hope to see one on the channel someday. Thanks!
I have a few customers with challengers and HellKitties!👍😃
Apex Detail great! Would love to see your work on one. 😉
Would it be possible to test some compounds that you can get from Walmart/AutoZone like turtle wax/meguirs/ other brands that you can get off the shelf
I can do a retail version of the compound series... sure.
Apex Detail sweet. Endless entertainment with your videos.
😂 Yes!! ENDLESS!!👍
Do a video comparing Finesse with Perfect Polish!
James Biedlar will do👍🏻
compare to meguiars ult. compound?
What does it smell like?
Brian, what was the pad you used to cut with the rotary
Hybrid wool pad from Honeycombination. All companies now have their own version by now.
What speed do you use?
The videos are very nice, but you might as well choose the cover photos for the videos a little better :)
I will try to do a better job🙂
Where would I find those tire covers?
Harbor Freight
What's your opinion on glazes? I have all the CG glazes but honestly i feel like they are just a waste of time and effort . it looks exactly the same before the application and after...
Only one "Glaze has done well for me....Wolfgang.
Apex Detail thanks B! I have 8 bottles of chemical guys glazes 😭😭😭💔 I'll give you some if you want them Brian I dont mind
David, if I can ask, how come so many?
Felix F wasted 400$ on mystery boxes lmao
I will politely pass on the CG products!😃 Thank you tho!
"rocks in a bottle compound"
😂 pretty much!
Great demo, making the vette look wet and sexy. 🌊💦 Have you used Zaino products?... would like to see you demo a car for us using Zaino products. Just imagining your polishing skill with Zaino (their polishes make cars look special.)
I will look into it👍🏻
The zaino yellow microfiber towel is legendary!
