Beardbrand surely chose well in you, Greg. Such a seemingly open, honest, sharing … gentleman. Keep it up, my man. I'll be tuning in. Thanks to Eric, and 'everyone' at Beardbrand!♥
My forehead was big since i was little, and ever since my hairline receded only SLIGHTLY in my late 20s, people think im going bald, when i know its only a slight recession. it sucks lol.
I've started wearing my hair a bit like yours but slightly more slicked back and covering up the worst bits above the temples. Got several compliments within a week. Real confidence boost.
My story is a bit funny, of my friend has this habit of hitting butt by palm and hitting on forehead by 2 fingers once he hit me with four fingers and then I realised I have a big forehead
Born with my big forehead. Thanks mom😂 I am receding at the temples though, but I don't worry much seeing how much my dad also has a V shaped hairline and isnt balding by any means
Good advice, I find it's often best not to try and cover up the forehead after a certain point, embrace your maturity and make the most of what you still have. That being said, as the owner of at least a 9-head plus a bald patch, a clean shave is my best option a this point.
I can speak from experience here. I would be against any fringes. It looks like you're trying to hide a high forehead, you won't be fooling anyone and you'll be failing miserably. Fringes tend to work best for people who have thick, textured hair (like the photo in the video). Most people who have receding hairlines will likely have some thinning as well and that's just a recipe for fringe disaster - you can see the forehead/scalp between the hairs and it just generally looks unkept that way. I have found that a slightly off-middle part and letting hair naturally fall forward works well - easy to maintain and doesn't make corner recession prominent. Otherwise - just embrace it. It's a masculine hairline and most men have it. In actuality I think keeping in-shape and having a thin face (think Henry Cavill who has receding hairline) or experimenting with facial hair will attain a facial shape that complements and balances a high forehead and masculine/receding hairline.
I have quite a big forehead and used to wear an undercut hairstyle with a fringe but I decided to change it up a bit so I’m currently wearing a buzz cut with a beard. Luckily although I’m only 18 I have quite a good beard so it works very well
I used to hide my forehead with pretty much a fringe haircut, because I used to be ashamed of it Until I shaved my head for a good cause! After that I started wearing a side part pretty much! And I started enjoying having a higher hairline than most guys!
I'm surprised you didn't mention how a bigger beard can offset the apperance of a large forehead, I think especially if you have either a smaller jaw or very short cut hair this is a good thing to think of.
Great advice! In my high school days, I tried to hide my five-head, but I stopped being so self-conscious about it and have been rocking pompadours and buzz cuts for years now
Hi Greg I have a multi colored beard. Red,blonde and brown. Im clean shaven now, but at the end of this year I can send you a picture of my beard if you and your team want and see what advice you can give me on what style will suit my beard best. Also in a certain angle in the light the blondeness and redness of my beard really pop out. I think this could be a cool project to experiment on.
I've always had a high hairline. I kind of got used to it. The real problem is that my hairline is even higher above the temples. That what always quite anoying. Took me some years to find a fitting hairstyle and and being ok with the whole situation
I think every man should grow his hair out at least once in his life. It looks completely different and you may be surprised. High fore head isn't a major deal of you choose a good style.
This is exactly what I have been looking for. I've been clicking on links that led me to examples of male models who don't even have long foreheads or their hairline being slinked. My brother is actually is rocking a fringe which gives him a certain type of boyish look. But I will probably go with a longer fringe or just celebrate it. Right now I have longer hair to put my hair in a middle parting man bun with the bun on the lower part of my back head which conceils the longer forehead as well. Overall great video!
I don’t know if this has been covered In the past but have you ever recommended minoxidil? I’ve had pretty good success with it myself, I could only grow a sloppy disconnected goatee and nothing more but after about six months of use, I have pretty much full coverage on my cheeks and connection with the goatee.
I got a forehead like no other. Bangs take a few years off of me (which at my age, 23, I don't want). I can definitely pull off the Johnny Bravo look though. Thank God I have a decent jawline.
im 16 and my hairline is so bad.. i look like im balding however i've always had my hairline like this. I have a fringe but my hair is so awkward so i dont know how to style my fringe, even after having one for almost 2 years now.
Big Piggy it really depends on ur head shape if you have a good jawline and head then try it out!! I was born with a kinda big forehead but my jaw and head are really good, so yeah I might try a buzz
Greg, thank you for taking the time to make this video. It's incredible how most channels assume you're not losing hair in your early 20's, has smooth, straight hair and whatnot. My hairline is thinning, and the strands of my hair are all broken. I just don't know what to do...
Trying to emulate Greg's hairstyle as my hair grows out. It's a lot more tedious than it's made to look, and after way too long in the bathroom, it still doesn't come out loookin' quite like that, haha.
All though middleschool and highschool I was self conscious of my 5 head. I had bangs which I hated because I have super straight and soft hair that would blow around at the slightest breeze just from me walking down the hall. Plus I hated the way hair feels on my forehead. In college I finally stopped being self conscious and wore a slicked back look for years. Now that I’m getting older my hairline is receding even further and here I am 😅
