Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse is the story of Trevor Belmont's battle against Dracula from the times before Simon's battle in Castlevania. In this complex and difficult game, there are three playable allies whom Trevor can recruit: Alucard (Dracula's son), Grant DaNasty (a pirate captain), and Sypha Belnades (a mystic warlord).
Unlike the other branches of Castlevania III, this run uses a stairs glitch in Block 4 to climb directly to Dracula and skip most of the game. Only the USA version allows this glitch to work, so it was used instead of the Japanese version, which has superior sound quality.
In this run, scrimpeh ( tasvideos.org/... ) beats the predecessor movie ( tasvideos.org/... ) by 00:11.18 seconds through new tricks and better strategies.
--------
Watch a resync ( github.com/aly... ) of this run being played back on a real console ( • TAS - Castlevania III:... ).
ITV: Trevor and Grant defeat Dracula by taking a shortcut through the Chaotic Realm
Does that make grant a stronger sorcerer than sypha?
Netflix Trevor : How much beer i need to drink to gain this power?
Ah yes, the classic "turn Grant into an axe while climbing up and down through glitched screens, adding E000 to your time, and deleting 20,000 points from your score" strategy. A totally normal speedrun.
Grant was so mad at Dracula that he traveled through another dimension to kill him, what a badass.
Glitches aside, this game is a technical masterpiece for a nes game
And with better music in Famicom bersion
Hadn't seen the boss glitch before, was cool!
Enter Name Screen
TAS: "nah"
how to defeat dracula:
1: get to your pirate friend
2: ???
3:!?!?
4: profit
13:50 Careful! That moon's packing a shotgun!
Awesome I like this Castlevania 3 for the NES Draculas Curse keep up the good work.
Grant: "I can help you a lot, 'cause I'm fast".
No
Grant: “I can help you a lot cause I can take a shortcut to Dracula.”
Nah
Grant: "I can help you a lot cause i'm glitchy as heck!"
He's so fast he warps the fabric of spacetime
My favourite game on the NES! CV3 is a masterpiece
Yeah. It's a shame it didn't make it to the NES Classic. Which I accidentally sold along with most of my other games in an effort to retire as a gamer. Thankfully I got most of the games I sold back so at least there's that. Still, I learned the hard way that selling your games and consoles even if you plan on retiring is a bad idea.
@@bradleynoble8101 ha, yes i have been there too. Definitely will be holding on to the nes and snes classics.
@@bradleynoble8101 they can be modded also
@@questionblock8949 How so?
@@bradleynoble8101 do a little research 👍
Castlevania 3, Dracula's Fever Dream Path?
I didn't knew this glitch existed.
Hell, I didn't knew it was even possible to throw items that fast (even if not humanly possible, still within the console's reach as shown here)
Anyone who likes Castlevania should play Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon
Know we know why he didn't appeared at the netflix adaptation... :v
13:55 Ah, I see Life Force isn't the only NES Konami game in which rapidly spamming the pause button will corrupt the background.
(For context if any one has a NES Advantage controller try playing Life Force with the controller's slow motion switch activated. The game will go haywire.)
De Drácula paso al multiverso de la locura subiendo la escalera al cielo
Glitch is at 9:20.
Is there an explanation video for what is happening and how it works?
Even with TAS the stupid bats and monkey-things get you!
9:25 - ah, yes, the stairway to heaven
*five seconds later*
Wait a minute...
Trùm cuối chết ngộ ngộ
UR4 remake of Dawn of Sorrow when?
10:52 Ryu Hayabusa.
Wrong game. That’s Ninja Gaiden not Castlevania and both creators are completely different
But sure looks like
I like how Simon decides it a good idea to visit the chaotic realm.
Umm it’s Trevor, Simon is CV1 and 2 but not 3 for some reason
@@NinjaCacodemon_IsSus C3 is about Simon's relative from the past, that's why
That's messed up
It never ceases to amuse me how poorly this version sounds in comparison to the Japanese edition.
The channels are missing and it sounds like it.
@Psychopath Media for better sound it had to use special enhanced cartridges so they didn't want to risk their money
