@Thewaywefarm exactly. When I really want something I say I'm only buying lunch. When I don't want anything I feel like I should just stay home and not go for lunch. It's all part of farming
I love going to auctions, you never know what you may buy or who you may run into 🙂 had planned on going to that auction, Bob had a well maintained fleet, everything was always kept under cover. I think I was out soil sampling the next hill over, it was cold that day 🥶
Grew up in Hamburg in the 80's but my Grandparents, Aunt, and Uncle all had Dairies in the Catskills. My farm cousins got to do all the fun farm stuff. Just bought my first tractor, a late 80's Kubota, a few months ago in an online auction. Mostly used for the loader with forks moving commercial appliances as I'm not a farmer currently, but I usually have an eye out for the right piece of land in the right area for the right price. Hard to come by it seems.
I used to love going to auctions but ever since the online sales started I've gotten a sour taste for them, auctioneers have never really been then most honest people and if I can't see the guy I'm bidding against I won't bid. The guy bidding against me may be working for the auctioneer but at the end of the day at least the guy has to stand out in the crowd to bid against me vs. the auctioneer just blurting out the internet just bid and your out. On a side note the auctioneer in the brown coat was annoying as hell, if another auctioneer has the mic, turn yours off and shut up LOL
Old Jim Pirrung's still at it I see.
Always nice to go to auctions. Hard to guarantee that you will buy anything other than lunch. Have a wonderful new year
It’s funny Jason, the auctions I think I’m buying something we come home empty handed and the others I come home with something.

It was very cold that day. His equipment was nice and that’s why it commanded top dollar, wish I could have met you.

Very hard to come buy anymore. Congratulations on the Kabota
We love going to auction’s 90% of are equipment comes from auction’s
Nothing wrong with that!
I noticed the previous owner of that 7020 didn't spring for the factory muffler. JD won't release it for aftermarket. Too damn pricey. Have a gooder.
Most Deere parts are pricey, we try to buy some aftermarket parts to save money when we can.
@@Thewaywefarm Hello, I know all too well. But JD still has not released the mufflers for the 6030 and 7520 to after market. Still have the 6030.
Hey Tom, where was this auction?
Howard New York a few weeks before Christmas
@@Thewaywefarm ok thanks. Some nice stuff there!!
They need a real auctioneer
Agreed!
you should tell the story about yours or your brothers one 9500 that you drove home
That is a great idea! Thanks John

Very good points. I have been the successful bidder on line quite a few times, but you never know for sure who’s bidding against you if anyone.
auctioneer sucks
